I stored all of my documents from my old computer to a remote hard drive (that I purchased at Best Buy). The new computer cannot open them!

The computer froze in the first 24 ours. Called Asus and had to do a master reset. Exchanged it the next day for a new one and it was worse. Called Asus again and they said it was a dud and to return this one too. Exchanged it again, but this time got a Lenovo and it is WONDERFUL!

Crashed with large windows automatic update. Geek Squad had to repair in store. Keep freezing even after Geek Squad repaired. Took it back and got a Dell. Not one minute of trouble from the Dell. I wouldn't recommend this computer to anyone!

The PC always go blue screen and crashes almost everytime I turn it on. I used to trust this brand before but not anymore. Tried checking online for return but it says product not returnable I had the PC for less than a month and it cannot be returned.

Don't even bother. Bought one and it would not start correctly. Called Asus and they told me I had to do a master reset. 4 Hours later, still wouldn't work. They told me I must have gotten a bad one. Don't even bother buying this. Go with another brand.

The built in speakers do not turn up loud enough. They are difficult to hear.

Bought this for my kids for school use. This ASUS desktop computer was easy to set up and runs fast and smooth. As a Student Deal it is a fantastic value at $649. Top of the line Intel i7 CPU, 12 megs of fast ram and a hybrid drive. The 1TB Seagate ST1000DX001 drive actually has a faster spin rate (7200) than the 5400 spin rate shown by Best Buy under Product Features. I am VERY satisfied.

Got this computer home and hooked up and there was a loud clicking noise coming from the HD or the fan. Returned it the next day and got a Mac.

This is the third ASUS machine I've purchased from Best Buy in the past 2 years (two for myself, one as a gift), and all have 2 things in common: they use the same case design and are visually indistinguishable from each other, and they've all performed like champs. If you're looking for the best bargain possible, this machine may *not* be the best choice, but for a good reason: the performance it delivers is overkill for the needs of most users. If your needs are primarily office applications, watching streaming video such as Netflix, and doing research on the Internet, you could save yourself some money by going with a lower-priced model that offers something like an Intel i5 processor. On the other hand, those with more demanding needs will be very pleased. If you're running office apps while you have a browser with 50 tabs open and are watching a YouTube video, this machine can handle it. If you're doing video editing or other CPU-intensive tasks that will benefit from multi-core rendering, this machine is a great choice. Be aware that there is only ONE expansion slot on this machine, a PCI-E 16x 3.0 slot. The means no legacy PCI cards. The power supply has a max output of 350 watts, so if you want to use the expansion slot to add a graphics card for gaming or other graphics-intensive tasks (or any other card that requires power from the PSU), you'll also have to upgrade the power supply. Either way, simply popping the case open will void your warranty, at least from ASUS. I've had this machine for just over 2 weeks now, and I've been using on a daily basis to transcode and compress live video for streaming, which is a very CPU-intensive task. Not only has it held up well, but it also runs cool and quiet. One last thing: I had to enter the UEFI BIOS to enable the turbo boost clocking feature; this feature was disabled on my machine out of the box, so you may need to do the same thing to get the maximum performance out of this machine for demanding tasks.

I worked on this PC for two days. It was slow and had a real hard time moving files.

Built-in media reader is not working, exchange it with different one

On the recommendation of a best buy employee we purchased the Isus desktop computer. After about 2 months it just shut down on its own and we could not power it back up. It is now at the manufacturer and we are waiting for the results.

Horrible experience with this computer. It freezes up multiple times in one day on a constant basis. Have had the computer since August. It had 1 month where this problem rarely happened but not it is back on the fritz. STAY AWAY!!!

The first one I purchased did not work right out of the box. I took it back and got another of the same because I was interested in the solid state hard drive but it came on but just would not work properly after help from Asus

I got this computer on sale $639.00, as I think they are phasing this variation out. It has a gen 6 i7 -6700 processor, 12 GB memory, 1 TB hard drive with 8 GB SSD buffer. Not much bloat ware. I bought a 240 GB SSD San Disk drive for $84 and moved the operating system on to it. It already booted up pretty quickly, but now it screams

Nothing but problems with the setup & did not work

it was time to replace my old asus desktop and i found this computer and im glad i got it because it's been flawless. it's very fast and the 12gb of ram helps out since i do a lot of multitasking. only complaint is that it came with a good amount of bloatware which i just easily uninstalled so it's not a big issue and the pc runs really quiet you can barely hear it. overall i would recommend this computer to anyone especially gamers, video and photo editors and music producers.

This computer is now older, but it has been an amazing computer and I highly recommend Asus.
