I love this router. It’s super fast. Maximizes bandwidth on both wired and more importantly, wireless. I couldn’t believe the speeds I was getting from my iPhone 11 Pro Max. There is now also zero gaming hiccups due to my network from my Xbox one X and 4k streaming is now flawless from all the major providers. This router was well worth the money.

Serious Connection Issues

I've had this hooked up for 3 days with a 1 Gig internet plan, and every day the internet cuts out multiple times. The thing is, it requires a modem reboot, not a router reboot, but under diagnostics it says everything is fine, which it's not. Shows the WAN port connected, but nothing has internet. All the lights display that it is functioning normally as well. The modem works fine and is an Arris SB8200 docsis 3.1 modem. When I reconnect my previous Netgear router, it works normally. I've factory reset both the modem and router to no avail. It seems lately people are having issues with this router. A year ago all the reviews were good. But if you check recent reviews from Amazon and Best Buy, you'll see connection drop outs. There's definitely something faulty with this router and it's going back. I'm an Optimum field technician. So I'm well versed in router setups.

I'm getting consistent signal strength for my needs whereas the past couple routers I've tried struggled. So far I've never had a disconnect nor lag due to my network connection while gaming. I can't recommend this router enough.

ASUS App works well as well. I live in a rural area with a beamed WiFi Internet. I can easily run 4 Gaming Laptops (all on different games or streaming sites), 4 phones, an iPad, 2 WiFi Laser Printers, and a Google Home Mini at the same time without any issues.

I use for streaming devices and gaming. It’s a great deal , I almost bought a mesh system which wouldn’t have been what I needed. Do your homework read and reviews and then purchase.

Has good range and limits interference from neighbors well. Also blocks other devices. Was not as simple to set up as advertised. I have advanced network skills and was able to complete installation. Novice users buyer beware.
