This router is super fast and works great. My only complaint would be setup. During setup I couldn't get it to work until I listened to the other reviews here and downloaded the app and almost instantly the router came to life. The fact you must have a smart phone with the app for setup could make this router a deal breaker for some people. I know most people have smart phones but if I didn't I don't think I would have been able to get the router to function and if I hadn't read the reviews and seen people saying that I probally would have returned the router because there appears to be no way to complete setup without it. So if you don't have a smart phone find a different router but if you do, its a great router but you literally need the app to complete setup.

I actually upgraded from an old Linksys EA8300 Max-Stream. The range and speed weren't that great so I transitioned to this Asus. Once I upgraded, the speed increased significantly. The only complaint was the range. I was expecting better range from some of the research I was reading up on but it's slightly better compared to the Linksys. The app from Asus is pretty nice & easy to use.

Very happy with the router. I did a fair amount of research on settled on this one. I wanted an AX router with the ability to add a mesh node and has can be a VPN client. This router checked those boxes but with the increased range, I didn't end up needing the mesh node. The range is much better and more consistent than my failed R7000. I have a TV in the garage that is pretty far away but this router handles it like a champ. I've not needed to reboot it. I wish I could create more than one VLAN, but I recognize that most won't know what that is. Overall, this router is a winner and as a guy with a fairly high tech knowledge, I can tell you this router delivers for all tech skills. Easy to setup but still give you a lot of options out of the box. I am likely going to flash with Merlin to open some additional options but 99% of people will just be happy with it out of the box.

The best router u can ever have. Great range and strong signal throughout the house. It never dropped a signal yet and it is been more than a month. It has parental f eww feature for free which i like for my kids.

Amazing router! Handles our 20 + devices flawlessly. Incredible signal throughout the house and easy to setup. It has been perfect for streaming and gaming. There are many features and it’s something you should take a look at. Totally worth every penny.

I have two of these set up as a mesh network with wired back-haul (both routers directly connected with a LAN cable). Everything in my home is in the mechanical room in the basement, so Wi-Fi gets pretty weak on my second story floor. Having two of these with one upstairs has been awesome. I have always been a huge fan of ASUS routers. The router interface does an excellent job of setting everything up on its own, even the mesh setup, quick and easy. BUT... If you're a power user, there are options galore to tweak away. Not DD-WRT level of options, but enough to satisfy the majority of power users. Wi-Fi performance for its price point is top tier as well. These routers fall into that "best bang for the buck" category for me. When I purchased them, they were on sale, so that made everything even sweeter.

I have been using for about a month now and this has been a nice upgrade from my previous router. The speed and range are much better and we are no longer getting streaming disruptions. Highly recommended for those with larger houses and lots of devices.

This pair work extremely well in a mesh network. Absolutely no dead spots in my house or around the house outside. Very simple to setup a mesh network. Asus really did their homework here. Highly recommend these. ese work togerher

FAST !!! WOW... So much faster than my Nighthawk router and the WiFi 6 connectivity is outstanding. Put a mesh access point in the basement and have great whole house coverage.

100% of my WIFI Internet Speed now completely covers my home = (30' x 70') with the router installed in the center of my home, this includes attached garage. Easy installation which includes a lifetime Firewall Protection at the router's access point.

I bought this to replace my asus ac68. This is a lot faster. Webpages come up super quick. I get speed test speeds of 600mps which is preset good. The range on this is also a lot further. Enjoy the beam forming capability as well. Good upgrade!

I've had this a little over 1 month and I am super pleased. All of my internet connected devices that I have connected, move smoother and faster without any of my previous mesh devices being connected. Would rate as excellent but I have issues with connecting my older surveillance cameras and I need more time with it.

I am sold on ASUS as their product are simple to integrate and use with an awesome UI. I replaced an older model that my connected devices kept getting dropped. Now I have no issues and I have my two older Asus models configured as Mesh routers which is working awesome !!!

to be honest this was a really responsive router, quick on reboot, setup and everything else, the only issues that I ran into and had to returned the unit was due to the IP range that this router operates, another words any old devices like printer will no longer work on this router.

This is either 4th or 5th Asus router I have had. Each one seems faster and wireless coverage is phenomenal. Very intuitive interface. Have been using Merlin firmware for years.

Overall very very fast router, getting 700-900 megs on WiFi and easy 1000 megs directly connected to ethernet. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it has several issues connecting to older devices, you have to turn off a few switches to keep chromecast's from dropping and cameras. Other this is the best router I've had.

Outstanding Wi-Fi 6 router that can be incorporated into the Asus AI Mesh architecture when and if needed. Great signal (RSSI). Only tricky part was fiddling with the 2.4GHz band to allow older 2.4-only devices to connect.

It just has problems connecting when you get home and Xfinity doesn't want you to use this router, they want you to use theirs, and you HAVE to contact xfinity customer service to activate.

Excellent performance, easy setup and when I decided to add an addition router and utilize the Aimesh functionality with ethernet backhaul setup was a piece of cake. Love the mobile app, plenty of features to help manage my network
