Love this Chromebook. I had the 8 GB version for 6 months and liked it so much I got its big brother, this one, when I heard it was available. It has 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD that make it great for running Linux programs. The touchscreen on this too is an added bonus. As I use it to sketch things out. The keyboard feels great and has good travel. Keyboard lighting not great but can be dealt with. The display with the matte finish is a joy to use in any lighting condition. Battery life will get you 7-8 hours, which works for me. I could go on and on.I have had several Chromebooks through the years, and this is the best one yet.

I really wanted to love this Chromebook. It is very solid. The screen is excellent with plenty of bits of brightness. The Intel Core Ultra 5 is fantastic. No fan is a major plus. I only have two issues that make me like but not love the device. 1) The back-lit Keyboard needs to be constantly adjusted as it is almost impossible to read some characters due to the color of the keys. 2) I wish the speakers were up firing and not down firing as it muffles the sound a bit. Otherwise this is my second favorite Chromebook after the Samsung Galaxy Plus (2024). Very good job Asus, a few adjustments and you too can have my 5 star seal of approval! Lol

Solid Chromebook. Fast. Exactly what I was looking for - a high quality build Chromebook with good feel, screen, etc. I love everything about it except the light-colored keys on the keyboard with light colored characters with light lighting are EXTREMELY difficult or impoissible to see in many lighting conditions. Fortunately, I normally use a docking station and know how to touch type or I may have returned it. I hope ASUS improves the keyboard appearance.

Great build, nice keyboard, good speakers and probably the best Chromebook I have had in years. The processor (Intel Core Ultra 5), 16GB RAM and SSD HD make this a powerful combination. Screen is very nice and the 500+ nits come in handy for different environments.

I purchased this as an open-box item. I wouldn't be able to tell otherwise if it wasn't new. Having owned one of the original chromebooks, I wasn't new to it, but when my existing laptop was no longer able to stay charged, and it wasn't worth the cost of fixing it, I decided that I could do enough with apps to not need a windows laptop again. I appreciate the light weight, the high speed, the graphics and display, the connections, and so forth. For my needs, I did not need a larger monitor. Overall, it is a worthwhile purchase.

This computer is great. The processor is fast. The display is clear. The memory is awesome. It does everything I need it to do for school, homework, and fun.

Perfect for class. Lightweight and stylish. The touchscreen is great and the track pad works well. More than enough processing power for everything I need for school.

If you want a Chromebook with horsepower, this is the one. Having used a few different ones previously, I always loved ChromeOS - Lightweight and excellent for normal daily use, and integration with your phone. However, most manufacturers really cheap out on the specs and during certain tasks it can really show. Not this one. When I saw this one had a whopping 16gb ram it was a must buy for me. Everything, including Android apps, run flawlessly on this device. The screen is gorgeous, and perfect for regular use and the photo editing I use it for. Keyboard is nice and premium and the speakers have surprisingly good sound quality. Considering most of the Chromebook Plus models are still only shipping with 8gb of ram, this thing should be a power house for quite a few years to come.

I had to purchase a replacement for my laptop on the fly, and I’m really glad I chose the ASUS ExpertBook CX54 Chromebook Plus. I do a lot of Zoom calls for work, so video and audio quality were very important to me. This Chromebook was on sale at Best Buy when I bought it, and it turned out to be a great deal. It was super easy to set up—just log in to Google, and everything works right away. The laptop is lightweight, sleek, and camera quality is great. Several of my clients have even commented on how much better my video looks during our meetings. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

Attractive machine and lightweight. Easy to use although I had some issues with my email, think Gmail was having some hiccups. Love the backlit keyboard, easy to adjust the brightness on it.

From the first time I opened it I noticed the great picture and fast loading time. Worth every penny. I use this at home almost every day.

I love my new chromebook, lightning fast, beautiful screen, good quality speakers. It is metal and very sturdy build.

Probably last and final best remaining Intel chromebook you can get before the Mediatek processor takes over and ChromeOS is no more. Works exceptionally well and with the 16GB of memory, nothing is ever slow. Glad to have purchased and it'll be a workhorse until end of life.

Excellent Chromebook with two flaws. Specifications, build quality and display are all excellent. The excellent performance is a bit overshadowed by its design flaws: (1) The keyboard illumination opaques the keys lettering during daylight and must be switched off to see the lettering. (2) When the laptop is opened, the display's bottom edge lifts the keyboard to a welcome angle for table-top use. The same bottom edge of the keyboard digs into your legs when using it on your lap making it very uncomfortable. If you will be using this on mostly a table/desk, this is one of the best Chrombooks out there.

Very nice Chromebook with big clear screen. Very smooth and fast loading. Connected easily to my phone and apps that I use.

the battery life is superb, it runs without charging for a whole day.

tl;dr - best if on sale or open box (got mine for $535 in excellent condition) A powerhouse with a beefy processor, plenty of RAM, and good storage (as most Chromebook apps are cloud based). Audio is a let-down as the speakers are down-facing - even if the laptop in on a hard surface, the audio quality is poor. So, bluetooth headphones and/or speakers help

Love the screen and the speed of this Chromebook plus.

Easy to operate however not as easy to transfer info from old data to new data from previous laptop if your not familiar with how technology works. Battery life is great and would recommend this laptop to a typical user.
