has great performance the battery life is great considering that it's a gaming laptop and with its integrated graphics card when not gaming definitely extends the life battery and with its dedicated graphics card runs most games definitely recommend this laptop

Yes, its fast. But I always feel this when getting a new computer. I did wait a few weeks before writing this review so that I can give constructive criticism to ASUS. What I like: 1- Keyboard. Best laptop keyboard I have ever had the pleasure to type on. ASUS should try to compete with Logitech and sell keyboards. 2- Screen. Bright and ultra sharp. 3- Plays games without chugging (Slowing down). The video memory helps in that regard. 3- VALUE. This laptop should do everything that a name brand laptop does with 30% less cost. 4- No major issues yet. I past the infant mortality stage. What I don't like- No USB port on right. All of the ports are on the left edge and I use a mouse on the left side of laptop. One USB port on right would have been better. The lid material. I would rather add a little weight and have a more robust lid. The computer booted into BIOS once and I had to reboot. I updated ASUS firmware and haven't encountered that issue again (Knock on Wood). In the end I give this laptop a thumbs up. I kind of wish that I had gotten the 15" size (the size of my old laptop) because this larger laptop is a bit too large for lap and just barely fits into my laptop case (but it does fit).

Really happy with the computer. The GPU is just right for the price and CPU is similar to I5 to I7. Xbox pass PC games work great. Some seem better than XBoxone X and other just a little under. Most games High to Ultra at 1080p. Probably turn down a little for online gaming. Battlefield 5 looks great. Home computing stuff fast. Room to upgrade to 16gb and hard drive. Running games off external drive works great. May be a little better with a faster internal drive. Step up from here is 2-4 hundred dollars more. Screen looks great even though it's only 60Hz. The setting for FORZA Horizon 4 are below. Those are the system picked settings. They look great and probably can be tweaked. I could of spent more, but that review would of ended the same way.

The fan is loud and the graphics suck. Was hoping for more but idk what I was thinking. It's good for a beginner pc for a kid or streaming. I cant get over the fan noise ugh.

I was pretty excited for this thing. Turns out that was probably not smart! Not only have I gotten more BSOD than with the other laptop I needed to replace, I've had more freezing up, less mousepad functionality, and a worse time with bluetooth devices. The BSOD has happened twice in one day, I'm constantly clicking on things I don't mean to, the freezing up is at least once a day, and I never know what to expect when trying to use bluetooth headphones. Sometimes it will work, other times? It'll be two or three days before they will connect. Yes, I've updated, removed, and even redownloaded Wins 10. I've updated every single driver. I've dug through Google, trying to find solutions for everything that could be a simple fix - and, frankly? I feel like, for a brand new laptop, this is way more than I should have had to do (JUST to use this for basic functions, especially). I'm so overwhelmed by the bad, I can't begin to list anything good. I can't even get through a single game at this point, without the visuals messing up at least twice.

This is a very solid mid range laptop for gaming. I'm a casual gamer, so I don't need the latest and greatest graphics or 4 K display. I also use it for my day to day general laptop duties and it performs without a hitch. The graphics card meets my needs handily and the AMD processor seems pretty solid. SSD drive is super fast and it's easy to upgrade the memory and add a second SSD drive which is a definite plus. If you can grab this on sale, it's a great deal. I got it during a flash sale with a $350.00 discount. At that price, it's a very solid deal. Recommended.

I purchased this for my son and ended up getting a phenomenal deal, as what was available online versus in store was a complete error. But Best Buy was great at all Acknowledging the issue and doing what they could to remedy my son’s main Christmas gift! He has had no issues whatsoever and is on it daily. I feel like it is on the heavy side, but he has no issues with it. It appears to be very durable, no lock up issues. Battery is still holding up. It was a great purchase as it is 7 months later! I bought this computer because i study architecture and deal with a lot of digital renderings and very heavy photoshop and autocad files that I need to have open all at the same time. This computer is great for helping me achieve my day to day needs as a student with architecture, so if you happen to be an arch student and are looking for a cheap computer I would totally recommend this one. There is also room to install a 16GB ram disk on the computer if you want it to perform faster than it already does. Some small things ive noticed about the computer, which ive been very nitpicky about, is the keyboard lightinght is a bit dim. Not as colorful and bright as many of the other computers ive seen ASUS produce. Also the computer is not very compatible with Airpods, which I own a Mac as well, more of a personal computer, but if in your case you own airpods, and dont own another computer, i would recommend buying wireless headphones for this computer since the Bluetooth isnt the best. Also the trackpad isnt the best, its very sensitive, I would recommend buying a cheap gaming mouse, or logitech mouse with the computer, itll help a lot. Overall, besides the small things I notice, its a great computer. Operating system is very fast, the graphics card is amazing, and it only crashed on me once so far while I was trying to do a rendering but I also had 4 ACAD files open, google chrome, and a 1.2 GB photoshop file, so it was bound to crash haha. For the price this computer is a steal

I needed a new Laptop ASAP as mine was broken and beyond repair after six years of hard gaming graft. Saw this one for the price point i paid and the specs and it was a insta buy. Laptop has no bloatware, has a nice sleek look, it's super quiet when on desktop to the point where i can't even tell if it's turned on it's that quiet!! :O When gaming on Conan Exiles, Warhammer II Total War, Heroes & Generals and Age of Empires II:DE All these games are running maxed out at 1080p with solid FPS. Cooling is amazing, i've felt the back of the laptop and it's not even sweating. Load times are amazing too the SSD is super handy. I would have liked something closer to 1TB of SSD space, but 512GB is okay i suppose. One of my best Laptops ever and ASUS has come a long way since the older ROG Laptops from 2014.

I recently bought the ASUS-FX705DT computer for my college-age son. Out of the box, the computer has a slick look with keyboard keys that light up with varying colors, like a lot of gaming computers. In operation, my son instantly liked the quick start-up associated with the solid state drive. The computer is of course a little heavier than some of the lighter laptops that are going around, but in my son's case he is able to leave it in his room. If a computer is needed in class all of the time, the weight needs to be taken into consideration. Otherwise, this is a state-of-the-art computer that is robust with the SSD and any student will love it.

I originally purchased this in September 2019 it was on sale like 799.99. After using the Laptop for gaming and streaming my video gameplay I have to say I have no negatives. I did a complete study on this laptop before I bought it so no surprises were to be had. The laptop boots up quickly and the system is quiet even when the fan is on (wondering if people who reviewed it with. As fans didn’t get a dropped unit) anyways I played Forza Horizon 4 on it with high graphics no major issues, and I have use OBS streaming software and Elgatos HD 60 S usb streaming device and had no dropped frames or anything. In fact I streamed ocer the laptops WiFi and it stayed strong for the 2 hrs I streamed. Graphics are amazing, very bright and clear. The viewing angles are amazing on the side and stag crisp. Wireless is just phenomenal, I can stream and play online games in my bedroom with the door closed without any problems no dropped signals I stuttering. Of course it has AMDs Ryzen processor which is their newer processors and handles everything I threw at it. The memory that the laptop has in it works great and seems to be enough. But I want to upgrade it just to be safe with streaming and. I’d so editing. This lap top is just amazing if your looking for one this would be the one.

I love large screen and its pretty fast processor. Works good and battery keeps charge.

I use this for everyday computing and not gaming. It is well built and has a solid feel even though the case is plastic. My previous laptops have all been Intel I7 and was hesitant to try out a computer with a Ryzen processor. I don't see any difference of speed. It works well and does what I want. The only glitch I have found is sometimes I have a few windows open at once. And every now and then (NOT often) it is like one of the windows will lock up or just quit running. For this reason I took off one star. I think this might be due to the AMD processor. I have owned other ASUS products and have always been satisfied. PC software has always been written for Intel architecture. But even so I find AMD a good value of what you pay for what you get. Overall I am very satisfied with the product, especially for the price. I have not had this long, but I spend several hours each day using it.

Got this on a good sale. Very nice computer. I wanted more memory than 8gb though, so I bought an extra 8gb for around $30, and popped it in. Easy install. With the extra ram and possibly an extra hard drive depending on how much data you store, this machine is a no-brainier if you get it on a decent sale. I also bought a 1tb Drive that I installed when I added the memory. It too was a very easy install. So kudos for the Easy upgrade capability built in.

The upgrade options add value to this laptop. Wish I could add dedicated memory to the video, though happy with the performance. Cooling system can be quite loud due to venting design while operating at high capacity. Had to adjust auto loaded software that was not for this system video configuration, and turn off auto updates on nonexistent hardware options. Overall a great value laptop.

I'd always previously purchased mid-low end dell inspiron laptops for the kids to do homework and play games on and they seemed pretty flimsy. This is a sturdy laptop and seems quick enough for what the kids are doing. I haven't had anymore complaining about the laptop freezing up or being slow, so I'm happy.

Ultimately I ended up returning this computer. Not because it was bad. It was a great computer. Fast, reliable and well built. It has been a while since I used a windows and I really am not fond of windows 10. This computer was great for gaming. I returned it because I prefer Mac over windows.

Great value for the price! Am a Lenovo fan, but this was worth! Was totally worth waiting for it to be on sale. One negative id say is that the mouse pad seems a little lackingresponse wise. So far handles a work load, looks great and is doing its job. Ps make sure you download the Tuf Aura Core (not ROG). Its not on the computer, can be found in the Microsoft store, so you can schange the keyboard colors

Starts up fast, really good for gaming on a budget, and what else can I say, it's amazing, only problem is the memory. Too small.
