The volume level or quality is decent for a tiny internal speakers. Howerver, for better listening pleasure or experiece, we recommend using a headset or external speaker system.
In order to prevent the screen from turning off or blacking out, sleep or hibernate mode needs to be disabled in the Control Panel, Power Options then Advanced Settings. For detailed instructions, please visit Microsoft's Knowledge Base.
If you are experiencing slow internet connection, please ensure the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. Also, make sure Windows is runnning with the most current update.

This is the worst computer I have ever bought. It runs at the same speed as an ancient laptop we have that is probably 20 years old and has Windows XP. For the record I am not trying to do anything that requires a tremendous amount out of a computer. I try to check emails, do schoolwork, shop online, read the news, look up a recipe. It struggles with all of these things. So much so I typically have to get on my phone and use another computer. My husband has an Acer laptop that literally cost half as much but runs 10x better. I deeply regret buying this computer but now I'm stuck with it. I don't know if I got a lemon or if every one of these is total garbage but take my advice and don't risk it. Buy a cheaper more reliable Acer. I will never buy another product from this company again.

Do understand your disappointment if you are experiencing slow system speed or performance with the laptop.
Certainly, the computer was designed to run popular computing applications like web-surfing, emailing and word-processing without compromising system stability and performance. This issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process.
Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. In order to maintain optimum system stability and performance, cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically.
If you are accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance.
