All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last, this is a random problem.

So I decided to try this Asus ImagineBook laptop, on sale prior to Christmas for $250.00. I have been using it almost daily for a month now. No problems! First SSD drive I have ever used, and it is fast! I mostly save work, photos to google cloud, so the smallish hard drive memory is not an issue. It is light, the keyboard works great and overall intuitive design. Was thinking of a chrome book, but at this price, and this speed, go you can go for a windows machine for those times you might need windows interface, applications.

My Chromebook runs rings around it as far as start up, loading programs, getting to the internet. Could you do massive video or audio projects on it, no. The processor is puny and it only has 4 gigs of Ram. However, if you have to operate Microsoft office on a budget, this is a solid buy. The keyboard feels cheap, but does work pretty nicely. Asus also packed in a lot of inputs, USB C, USB, HDMI, and a micro SD card slot. The screen is super clear, colors are solid, definitely outclasses other computers at the same price point. If you don't want a Chromebook and don't want to spend a lot of money, this computer is a no brainer.

I get its not for gaming but cant you at least make the ram bigger ? my streams are in 0 fps ! another issue is that it cant run anything ! i cant run fortnite, league of legends, and the list just goes on ! i edit videos too and i try to install the video editor i use for my videos and it gives me problems . just buy a refurbished dell inspiron . its just so much cheaper and just so much better. and it cant even run pubg lite . And even if you dont play games or edit videos it still gives you problems if you even install a app ! it just gets worse the more you use it !

Indeed, it is not a gaming laptop. However, it can do basic or light video editing. The laptop slow speed or performance is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance.
If the above-mentioned steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application.
