Returned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was returned for a better model. It is fine for children not anyone older. It would not work in government buildings at all. Got this as a gift and exchanged it for a upgraded Sony model that worked better.

Not the best, or worst.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tablet as part of a bundle with micro SD card and carrying case. Seemed like a good deal at the time. It does fit nicely in my hands and that's all the good i have to say about it. Now for the bad news: the OS is way behind of the current Android OS. It often shuts down from time to time, and there's more then enough bloatware for everyone. I'm sad that nobody took notice of this tablet. It seemed like a good deal for a budget tablet, but looks can be deceiving. If a new tablet line does come up sometime in the future, it would be nice to fix many f the problems associated with the last line, and then some.

Very good!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tablet thinking it would just be basic, but it exceeded my expectations! The tablet is fast with the Intel Atom processor, I love the new Zen UI, runs everything I put on it with no lag. Everything runs smooth on this tablet. This is the best budjet tablet for $100.

Decent tablet for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tablet doesn't compare favorably to my gen2 Nexus 7 or my wife's new Lenovo S8-50. Why? It cost $89. At that price point, it is a decent choice. I bought it as a backup to my Nexus 7. Something to use when the Nexus is charging. Something to stream music to the bluetooth speaker in the living room while I use the Nexus for web surfing, playing games and other "important" stuff. I set this Asus up yesterday and tried it out for a few hours last night. It will do fine for the mission I purchased it for. Actually, performance was better than I had expected. No problem using it to play games or web surfing while it was also streaming Pandora to the bluetooth speaker. It is limited by a single mediocre internal speaker, a 2 megapixel front camera, 8 gig storage capacity, and a fairly low res (but clear) display. Would I want it as my primary or only tablet? No. Does it compare favorably compared to other tablets under $100? Yes. Would it be a good beginner tablet? I believe so. Am I going to enjoy having it as a 2nd (backup) tablet? You betcha! And that is worth 4 stars.
