Purchased on sale for $96. Appears to have good range and throughput on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Has been up and running 24/7 for over a month without a glitch. Lots of features you may never use. Setup was easy and the included manual is fairly detailed.

After using the same router for about 15 years, it was time for an upgrade and what an upgrade it was! This sleek looking router tripled my wifi speeds. Easy to install and reliable connections so far.

Four years ago I installed a new router as we moved into our new home. I was never totally happy with it coverage, reliability, or bandwidth. After trying range extenders, new software, and anything else I could find, I decided to try a router. Low and behold it seems to have solved my problems. Much more reliable, able to handle multiple users at once (bandwidth,) and covering our entire home (3800 sq ft. open floor plan.) My only frustration was the setup. While not difficult at the router, until I accessed the router via IP address on each device they seemed to have difficulty connecting.

This ASUS has been great so far. Easy to set up and has a very high range. I have a detached garage with living space above. The signal reaches that room with no issues and is still with all bars.

I haven't had this long enough to test all of it's features. But I get great thoughput. It was super simple to install and setup. It's got decent range. The location I have it in is not ideal, but it's all I've got right now and my entire condo is covered. I only went Good on Value for Price and Performance because I haven't fully tested it yet. I fully expect it to rank Excellent for both of these.

The dual band wireless-N 900 speeds are still very fast even after 3 years of owning this and easily keeps up with streaming 4k content over WiFi on Netflix and YouTube while people play online games and voice chat on skype without lagging at all. The router is paired with Spectrum 300mb cable connection and I’m very impressed at its performance without having to upgrade to a higher AC1200 router.

First to begin with, I tend to use Asus products whenever I have to choose. Their Mb's are by far the most reliable boards out there. This router is just as good. Fantastic gui and performance

I originally purchased the NETGEAR Nighthawk R7000-100NAS dual-band wireless router after reading all the positive reviews. However, I was very disappointed in the limited range in my one story house. This this Asus RT-N66R covers the whole house.

I got this router after getting sick of the Linksys line of products. Linksys was becoming expense and the lack of features and signal strength didn't make it worth it. This asus is more than capable of keeping up with the 20 or so devices I have around the house and the dual band will allow up to 20 MBps on the wireless N. It has lots of features like VPN and build in usb that you would have to pay double to get in other brands. The only complaint I have is when I make changes the router stops processing packets while the changes are committing.

I was having slow connections with my older Bellkin router so I replace it with this one. I no longer get stored connections and the speed difference is quite noticeable. I have two tablets, a roku, two computers and two android phones connected. Easy to set up and I can also easily block my kids from using the quick connect button to try to connect their devices on the sly. It's a good product. I have been using it for approximately two months now.

Time Warner Cable technician resisted using it

When my Internet service failed on my Time Warner Cable, I went to Best Buy and purchased a cable modem that said on the box it was approved by Time Warner Cable. When the cable modem did not work, I called TWC and they dispatched a technician. The technician acted like the cable modem was the problem, then ran a whole new cable to our house and installed a booster on the smart hub, then installed a TWC modem. When it finally worked, I asked him if the ASUS cable modem would work now, and he said that it might, but that they'd had lots of problems with them. He advised that I continue renting my cable modem from TWC and take the ASUS modem back.

Tried Motorola, Belkin, and a few extenders to eliminate dead zones in my 2100 SF Two-story. With this, I don't need any of the other stuff. Good coverage, even in the basement office.

This router is amazing! It has the speed to keep up with everything I have going on with this computer; and it is efficient, no more pauses or long waits to get to the main screen.
