I bought this unit because there are signal dead spots in areas of the house. This unit was recommended at the Best Buy near us and I was reluctant to purchase at first (I had planned on a Linksys/Cisco). After plugging into the TWC cable modem, the set up was very easy. You will have to upgrade firmware right away, but if you plug directly into the router with a CAT5 cable, the procedure is very quick and self-explanitory. The guest accounts are a nice feature (son's friends like it too). The boys still notice some lag if I upload large files at the same time they are gaming, but that is an issue with TWC's upload bandwidth; NOT this router. One last thing was the administrative interface is super user friendly. If I had younger kids that needed parental controls, this box really makes finding their devices and setting limits easy.

its good wireless router, bought 4 of this and used in 3 business office for employee and guest, work very good, you can set up very easy. I set 2 of this for one very large place 1st for main and 2nd for extended coverage. much better than link sys. I already have link sys too but slots of problem.

Bought this because the built in wifi in my uverse modem has terrible range. Now my kids wii upstairs doesn't drop out all the time anymore. Great range, easy to set up, looks cool with my other components. I have an Asus gaming laptop that I LOVE, main reason why I chose this router. Not dissapointed!

After going from Cisco to asus router I got to say the more noticeable difference is stability. Signal strength is great, speed is fast but most of all I haven't got the need of reseting it not even once. I would recommend this type of router for medium size homes with lots of streaming devices.

I love the ASUS computer & Router. Installing was made so easy with the disc. Being legally blind.

I have not had any problems with this device since I purchased it in February. My children love it because its faster than our old one.

Having suffered through a miserable experience with a Netgear piece of garbage, I had very low expectations. Yet this unit works like a charm. It has great range, always-on reliability, very fast data rate, and hasn't experienced any real hiccups since it was plugged in for the first time.

great for home use and easy to set up and good for using multiple devices the maximum devices i have using are 6 and they all run good

This is the best router you can buy. It trippled my speeds and lowered my ping significally. Not one problem so far. On top of that it was by far the fastest easiest set up i have ever done.

This product was a replacement for an older netgear. Thus far it is met all my expectations!

This replaced an older unit that was slow (with a 50 GB FIOS connection) and had to be rebooted almost daily. This unit is much much faster, never needs rebooting (4 weeks, so far), and was a cinch to set up. Highly recommended.

Easy to setup. Our old one finally gave up the ghost. Now we're secured and back in business.

The range for my unit increased 2 fold reaching wireless connections to both ends if the house

I highly recommend this router. It was easy to install, quick to set up, and it gets great range. This replaced a Netgear 3700 that had died. Even at it's best, the Netgear could never pump a signal out so far. I can still pick up a signal two houses down; the Netgear couldn't reach my garage. The software includes a lot of options, so it could be overwhelming to a non-technical user. It had all of the features I was looking for, including the ability to wake computers from the router. The VPN server is also a nice option if you want extra security for inbound connections. I've set up a couple of these now, and they're well worth the cost.

Router works great. strong signal even from basement with the router on the second floor.

This router cover very well the 5ghz spectrum and also the 2.4ghz and its latest update seems to improved its already great coverage.
