Absolutely great router. I had very little signal degradation around the house (if any) once the router was fully setup and tweaked. If you're trying to get the best router you can without upgrading into the $200 range for AC-band routers, then this is one of the best options for you.

We bought the Asus router to bring a local bridge club into the WiFi era, providing members access to the internet via Comcast. We have a steel "Butler" building 90 x 40 with essentially one big room. WiFi coverage is excellant, extending into parking lot. Installation was very quick. Worked immediately and we have gone past month 3 with zero issues. We had three computers all streaming different material in a matter of minutes on day one. The 3 antenae does look fragile. We put the Asus router up on a wooden shelf on the wall, away from the bustle. This model exceeds our immediate needs, but someday we may be hosting internet driven bridge classes or even a computer school.

I have been struggling with getting good WiFi coverage throughout our home for the last year. My older single band router has lost the fight to interference from a 2.4ghz baby monitor and my family have been frustrated as of late. In comes the Asus N900 to save the day. After much research it was between a Netgear and Asus model but ultimately ended up with Asus and have am completely satisfied. Superb range, actually saw a bump in speed, and love the ability for guest networks and dual bands!

ASUS has been making excellent routers for a few years now, and this router is no exception. This is a quality router that offers top features and great wireless coverage for mid to larger sized homes. And it was on sale! Can't beat the price for what you get with this router.

Much needed router to upgrade the other one that simply "died". Very reliable and was also to extend out to give excellent coverage in my backyard too!

This is a great router. I currently have it set up with 5 college guys and all of us drawing from it at the same time with multiple devices including Iphones, Droids, Netflix and a Xbox one. I have no problems and recommend this for anyone else for a good quality router.

Purchased this router to replace an aging Netgear that kept dropping Apple devices. I tried a Buffalo router first, but saw no improvement in range over the previous Netgear. This router is consistently highly rated at several web sites including at SmallNetBuilder, an excellent resource for everything networking. I upgraded the firmware to the ASUS-Merlin build found at SmallNetBuilder. This router has excellent range capability. Covers two levels of a an 1800 sq ft house. The options available in the browser based setup utility are immense, including router based parental controls. I would highly recommend anyone to give it a try.

It has been a little over 3 months now that I have purchased this router and I have yet to loose WiFi anywhere in my home. It extends the range and increases the speed of the service. A must buy for a big home

As I thought it would be this device made by asus is an outstanding performer and offers several customizable settings. It took me a little bit to figure it out which was kind of frustrating but once I got the hang of it, I was able to do everything I wanted. I still haven't used half of the options that it offers but its great to know they are available. Offers VPN passthrough as well so definitely a great device for the useruser+

By far the best router on the market.. 5G range is the best i have seen and the speed of set up is awesome it really takes 10 mins to set up and easy to understand firmwear.
