I bought this while looking for a top of the line, dual-band, router. A friend had previously bought this same Asus router a few months ago and suggested it to me. After looking online at the excellent reviews it has I decided to go for it. Upon arriving at my local Best Buy I noticed it was on sale cheaper than Amazon, making it an even better purchase. It was relatively easy to set up. But if you're a bit of a net tech, it's got plenty of features for you to mess with in the system settings.

Bought this router to replace an airport express. Setup was simple and my signal strength is more than double.

The ASUS router provides many configuration options out of the box. I use mine as a access point since it extends my primary router. It was easy to set up and I would recommend ASUS products to anyone.

Vey solid router! We've had the unit for a few weeks now and have yet to experience any wireless disconnects or drops. The router is actually located downstairs and we get great coverage throughout our 2,300 square ft home. Very happy with our purchase!

I replaced Belkin N900 with this router. N900 was good enough for 4 wireless devices, but was not able to provide 11mb download speed to 8 wireless devices (everyone in my home has at least 2 android devices - phone and tablet). I tried Netgear and Linksys wireless-N routers, but I was not getting stable signal in some part of my house (I live in a 2-story house and my router is in up stairs in far corner). Adjusting antenna position on RT-N66R, I was able to get strong signals in every corner of my house. Netflix and Amazon video streams in HD without a glitch (I have 11mb fiber-optic DSL line). My wife and I take online college classes - most of the instruction is in on-demand video. Works great for both of us. I attached a USB external drive to access my files from anywhere in the world. VPN is not easy to configure, but once you have it, it works very well. I wish they built in USB3.0 support. *** First thing I did with the router was firmware update before changing password. I read some user had problem logging back on after the update with new password.*** User interface is easy enough for novice user: blocking website URL, key word/phrase blocking, and parental control on individual device based on MAC address. But, it also offers advance configuration options if you know what your doing. I could not find a detailed user manual online for the router to help me understand full capability of the router yet. IMO, wireless-ac routers are over priced for its performance when compared to wireless-N routers. By the way, you will need to buy wireless-ac adapters (LAN card) to use the benefit of ac routers. If most of your devices run on N mode, I highly recommend this router. I had RT-N66R router for 3 months and have not experienced a single problem with the router. I will follow up if I encounter any problem with the router.

My wireless wifi no longer performs at a snails pace, but now soars like an eagle thanks to another great easy to install product from Asus.

This router is a good value and is very fast. Able to handle online video and music streaming easily. Easy to set up.

We didn't know we had internet as fast as we do until we set up this new router. It also has a great distance range

I've had this router for a while now works good but the range isn't as far as it claims but it gets the job done. My AT&T Wireless Router has a greater range but the AT&T service doesn't work with its own router, that's why I had to buy this product.

Definitely a good upgrade if you experience loss of connection strength in remote parts of your home. Setup was a snap.

Great router for a home 4-5 family members and multiple devices. Two different bandwidths 2.5 ghz, and 5.0 ghz. Easy to setup and create names and passwords for both channels. Important note, the PS4 does not support 5ghz, only the 2.5, and that is the weaker of the two. If you are going to try and play online games i would recommend hard wiring your PS4 with a lan cable vs wifi. Otherwise the router is great. Has great range and low interference. Remember the bigger your home the more interference you'll get. Might not be perfect for everyone.

This is a great product. The signal is strong enough to reach any part of my house. Set up was easy.

This was the answer to my problems with an easy installation. I am running three laptops and a wireless printer on it with no problems. It also has a higher, 5G setting for the new phones.

I usually use the NetGear systems, but the salesman recommend this Asus emphatically. I have to say, it is a great router. I think I'll have to use more of Asus's routers in the future.

it was very easy to install and set up. i could see the difference in performance straight off the bat, love it.

Our Comcast Supplied Router was a nightmare device. When my Sonos system started acting up it was the last straw. Now, we have a Comcast modem and this router in our home. We have a lot of stuff on our network and it is all working perfectly. Signal strength is very good throughout the house. This router provides features most will never use, or understand, but they are there if you want or need them. [Gamers will like the ability to dedicate resources]

This product was shipped to me in 2 days, open box read instructions and BOOM, Houston we have Internet throughout the whole house.

This is a very good router and probably even a bit more than needed! Great range & capabilities. The set up was more technical than expected! The dual band 2.4 GHZ needed to be named differently from the 5 GHZ on set up or there could be a conflict with certain computers (like my HP). I also found out the frequency should be set on 2.4 GHZ. I was informed that 5GHZ is a setting for Smart TV's or things like steaming video. ASUS Tech Support was very patient, professional & informative. Now that the router is functioning as it should, I am very pleased with this product.
