ASUS router works well but the distance it covers is less than i had expected...

After using linksys routers for years I decided to try ASUS because the linksys routers began dropping connections. I have been extremely satisfied with the range of this router and stability of my network.

I had trouble connecting to my wireless network from the master bedroom and the enclosed porch. This router has much better range than the one it replaced (a NetGear WPN824). I'm very pleased with its operation.

Amazing coverage reaches every corner of my 3600sqft home from the basement. Up and running in less than a minute. Very fast throughput and DoS make it ideal for segregating streaming and browsing traffic.

Impressive performance and quality from Asus as always. Only complaint is USB 2.0 instead of 3.0 on the system. Its available on the higher unit. Some users maybe a bit concerned with the amount of options available for the configuration and options on the router.

I bought this router because the router for my WiFi is in our den in the basement I live in a brick house so signal was not strong upstairs.I ran an e5 cable to this router upstairsfrom access point , now I get great WiFi everywhere including my deck outside.

This router is easy to set up and configure, but the WiFi connection to the 2.4 and 5 Ghz seem to be difficult to maintain connections. The router is centrally located without interference, so losing WiFi signal is frustrating - evspecially when you have to re-enter the key. Should have purchased an AC router.

I've had it up for a month now and did initially have a problem with the router not connecting to the internet. I was able to get resolution from the Asus tec who was very patient and helpful. It's been working fine with very good range in the house since that time.

I replaced my 2 year old router that was giving me low performance on wifi. I was getting 12-16 mbps when I should've been doing 50mbps+ this solved my issue and runs on 2.4 and 5.0hz worth the money

I had an old netgear that finally went and I did a lot of looking at what models were the best, this one was always up there. so we got it, it was up and running in less than 20 min, it has not had to be reset yet (almost 2 months) but having to decide what band to use is a pain, and i wish the parental controls could be done by groups of items (for example most kids have a phone, ipod, gaming system.... and that we could set usage in gigs and or time allowed... but we seem to be having less issues with this one and the asus laptops (the old netgear network would dissapear sometimes where the computer could not find it then we would have to restart, often several times before it was there again) I do get kicked off sometimes, but all I have to do is disconnect and reconnect and it is fine (our internet speed is also slower than the router can handle by a LOT so we are not using it to full cap yet.

it's a great product. the signal in my house is a lot stronger and better.

Not bad of a product. It seems to help our wireless network speed a bit more.

We replaced our older NetGear® router with this one. We were not getting good signal upstairs. So far, this router permeates our large two story house and extends well out in range in our Yard! <><

Looked up the routers on a review site. found the unit rated excellent. I found Best Buy had the unit in stock. Installed it in no time at all. Works great. Excellant coverage through the entire house.

Had to call customer service to walk me through set up but seems ok after that.

Picked this up for my son away at collage to Christmas, he says he loves it

This router meets the criteria that I needed - faster, more reliable signal

This is a great router with plenty of power to get the signal out to the whole house. I actually use it for my small motel and it reaches most areas. It's way better than the old router I was using.

Supports multiple instruments including my TV, tablets, laptop and phones

Good but found out later that it is not the fastest or most updated one.
