I had a WiFi that was great downstairs in my house. The Skype transmission was good. However, as soon as I was upstairs in my bedroom it got week and there were drop calls. After I installed this WiFi the Skype transmission is very good. No drops in the video call.

This router was a huge upgrade from my prior router, and after a couple weeks, it seems like I need to shut it down every couple days to maximize speed...hmm...for the price, I find this really annoying.

I needed to upgrade my wireless router from my current internet company, because the range was horrible. I purchased this unit and in an hour I was able to go ANYWHERE in my home or in my yard with wireless...

Best mid price router! I have purchased 8 of these routers for various reasons. I use them in access point mode and media bridge in the office, and use them personally at home for routing and repeating. Really stable and sees regular updates.

Needed to replace another and it works as expected.

easy to install and works great all my applications

I bought this for the coverage and ease of setup. The coverage was excellent. Setup was easy. All of my WiFi devices and computers found and connected. However, my Mac which was set to sleep after a about an hour, would have trouble reconnecting upon wakeup. I did not have this problem previously with a Netgear router,and i ultimately exchanged this for a AirPort Extreme and had much better luck, but not as good coverage as the Asus. Recommend except for Mac use.

I have gone through a few routers and I have found this one to be the best! Others kept dropping connection. This one never does and it is very secure. You get more bang for your buck with this router.

worked really good while it worked but became slow after a while

I can't figure out why our iPhone will not work with it. It's slow and doesn't want to connect. My phone is faster on 4g. My cable internet is 50 down and 10 up. So it's not this. Not sure if it's a setting or not. But my sons new iPod touch works just fine.

Very Happy with this product. Often watch videos and browse internet simultaneously on 4 devises with no problem. Only imperfection is ~ once / week I have to shut power down on my blueray player & power it back up before it will work online again.

Bottom-line, this ASUS Router aka 'Dark Knight' is awesome. Wireless N performance, backwards compatible for B & G WiFi standards, great Signal coverage and incredibly stable. This thing rocks!!!

complicated installation---my nephew couldn't install it in the first get go!

Excellent for multi users. Ive had two laptops playing warcraft.... One child on PS3 and one on ps4 playing and watching Netflix with no loss of bandwidth or lag.... I'm extremely pleased

What an awesome router!! It's definitely worth it and even better. When you upgrade the firmware to the Merlin edition!!! This router will be great for years to come and is a worthy investment!!!

I love this router a lot and bought it when my old Belkin draft-N decided to die. I love everything about it except that from where it is located the signal barely reaches the other side of the house. The old one had the same issue but I was really hoping it would work better since it was a late N generation router.

So I bought this to replace my old netgear. I am not getting that much better range. It is faster and does not slow down will all the devices I have . But I wish it would cover the whole house.

I've been using this router for a few years now and have been very happy with it. I've even bought a couple for friends and family. It's a solid router and has not had the security issues that the bigger brands have had.

This is not the most expensive router that Asus makes but it is one hundred time better than the Linksys router I did have! My wireless speed is now faster than my wired speed with the old router! Great product, you won't be disappointed!
