Network issues

I have to reboot the router by unplugging it and then reboot the computer to connect to the internet. Also, my DVD player will not connect to the internet. I don't know for certain if the router is causing these issues, but they started when I replaced the router.

The Asus device provides signal strength that's comparable to the signal provided by my dsl provider's hardware. I returned this product and bought a range extension device.
