Absolute monster of a card with superb cooling

Amazing card with great cooling and performance. Idles at around 28c and 65c while gaming. Be wary that this card takes three 8-pin connectors. If you’re someone like me who likes using third-party cables, make sure you buy the correct amount.

I hadn't intended to buy a top tier 3080, but jumped on this when it surprisingly came available and I have zero regrets. It looks great and runs extremely quiet, even in the OC mode. Three 8 pin connectors is a hassle to manage but you know what you're getting into. I only wish it came with an anti sag bracket, instead of the tiny ruler in the box...??

Managed to snag one. Card ran kind of hot on air, 80c max temp underload. Had to undervolt it on air for it to get decent temps. Since I bought the EK vector WB and added it to my loop card never hits about 40c on water. With a solid oc of 125 core 750 mem. Time spy score of 19.4k. Great card if you can get one. DO NOT BUY FROM THE SCALPERS JUST BE PAITENCE AND WAIT.

Great performance at high resolutions with high frame rates. Stays cools while also being quiet at the same time. Beautiful card physically and built to last.

From going to a 2070 super to a 3080 the leap is incredible. To put into comparison on many games that I have. I run low to increase frame rates. I cap at about 180 on AAA games. The 3080 is hitting that with EVERYTHING on with RTX. And it’s still above. Also interms of streaming, the memory and vram it has lets you stream the most demanding games with no hit to your FPS compared to older gen cards. Plus with ASUS, you know you’re getting quality. ASUS’s cooler on these cards are thick. So no matter what stress test you do to these cards. It won’t get passed 70c I promise

Please keep in mind this review is a reflection of the part itself... not the price, ongoing scalping, and availability. The card is a beast. It's already overclocked beyond the FE models and I've further pushed it to 1995MHz (keep in mind it'll boost beyond what you set it to based on certain conditions... I've seen 2070MHz without touching the fan profile on the stock air cooler) on the Core and 21.2GB/s on the memory (stress tested for crashes and pushed memory until performed started dropping). I would recommend Afterburner instead of GPU Tweak II however.

Wow what a tank! Everyone aware of how reliable Strix cards are knows you aren't even paying for the overclock or minor performance gains over ref, but you're paying that extra for the build quality and guaranteed longevity. I coupled this with a 5950x and I'm seeing things I only thought were possible in the Matrix.

I mean wow. At $1009.04, I can honestly say it was worth. I own the 3070 variant and grabbed this one for my brother, but got to test it before handing it over. It takes 3 8-pin connectors and is massive. All of the 30 series STRIX cards are the exact same on the outside, besides the pin count. It is a beautiful card and the performance is insane. With Doom, I was getting too many frames at Max Settings, 1440p. 300+ constantly, it honestly felt overkill. For Forza, Max Settings, 1440p, the benchmark mode scored 183FPS, but actually in game, I was getting 180-210 constantly. If you can get this, you have a unicorn. I have no doubt this is the best AIB of the 30 series.

This card is built like a tank. The fans are practically silent compared to other graphics cards. Actual performance of the card is great. Only problem I've had with the card is coil whine. There are ways to decrease the coil whine but it's still clearly audible for my card. Will see if the coil whine decreases from use overtime also. Can always wear headphones or move the pc farther away. This GPU is great otherwise, just a small problem that I noticed with mine that may not be present on other GPUs.

Coming from an EVGA GTX 1060, this card is a beast!!! The only problem I have is that I have a noticeable coil whine but it gets muted out with my game audio.

I love it! It looks sexy and destroys any games I throw at it. One minor negative is that it has noticeable coil whine while in graphic intensive gaming scenes. This isn’t bad for me because my pc is under my desk, but if you are sensitive to this it might be an issue for you.

So this thing is heavy af, but it sure does get you what you pay for. I can run D2 at 175fps 2k no problem on it. Does anyone know what the ruler is for?

If you can get your hands on this it is totally worth the price. This model of the RTX 3080 is the absolute best. While you are paying much more than the founders edition, this card it worth every penny. I don't regret buying this card at all.

Amazing GPU, runs cool even at full load. Able to push 120fps+ in CoD even at max settings. It is a big GPU just be prepared if you have a small case. I was able to get one at normal prices, don't pay the scalpers on ebay or amazon.

Great card. Its HUGE and Heavy. You also get a nice card with it. Haven't had any issues with it since I got it. Runs 1440p 34in UW flawlessly. Call of Duty, Apex, CS:GO are some of the games I play.

Its a good card overall and performs fine. Only issue outside of paying a bit extra considering the current GPU environment is it does have some coil whine. If you are wearing headphones you most likely will not hear anything.
