Added Tip for the Buying Process
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So quick tips for you guys to buythis GPU, this is how I grabbed mine. 1) First of all, look at all the NowInStock sale times for any 3080/3090. 2) Most of them go for sale on Thursday or Friday from 7:05-7:55 am pacific if you shop BestBuy. BestBuy has recently been releasing them in small waves that last up to an hour. You can also try 11:15-11:55 am pacific. 3) When you see the yellow "add to cart" button, the page will refresh and let you know that due to high demand, there will be a delay in adding the item to the cart. 4) Go ahead and refresh the page multiple times. I went up to 6-10x times, maybe 45 secs or so, until it allowed me to add to cart. The page may lag due to high demand. 5) Once in your cart, go ahead and checkout. 6) BestBuy will 2 step verify your account email for a code. Input code and checkout. 7) I would not recommend checking out with Paypal. My friend was forced to 2 step verify twice and lost his GPU before placing the order. I was able to grab this Strix 3080 and a friend nabbed a 3090 FE using this method. He was also apply to add a second GPU, but couldn’t buy to the one per customer limit. Good luck. Pros: For those wondering if BestBuy sells the OC or non-OC version, I was shipped the OC version. Go ahead and buy without concerns. This card is hefty compared to my EVGA 1070. I might decide to use a bracket so it doesn't sag, but it doesn't seem to weigh down too much. Looks pretty sexy, ngl. Idles at about 41* C in my rig. Runs Warzone at 52-56* C. Cold War at 54-59 C *. Fans are currently set to 0 DB mode. My 1070 would run at approx. 65-75* C for both games. I’m not hearing a coil whine from the GPU as well. I’m seeing about 50-80 FPS increase with the Strix 3080 in stock mode. 1070 hit low 90-low 100s. Max in Cold War multi was 225 FPS, with it at about 175-195 for most of it. Will OC at some point. My 1070 was starting to fail me, Warzone would have random GPU crashes. Reports would stay that it failed to run. It was developing a weird fan noise too. No issues with the Strix 3080 and I played a couple of hours. Cons: RGB Control is difficult. Looks like multiple RGB controllers don’t detect the Strix and the ASUS brand controller is glitchy. ICUE doesn't even detect my Strix 3080. Having issues with ASUS GPU Tweak II as well. 3x 8 pin connector is a bit of a hassle if you want to do it right. You're suppose to use at a minimum 2x PCIe cables. Overall very happy with the GPU. Nice to see my rig finally not crash with Warzone. Will probably see how Destiny and Squadrons works with it soon. BestBuy shipped it promptly and I got it 2 business days later. Packing material could’ve been better. The process to buy sucks, but try to use my tips next time. We had luck with it.

The best 3080
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing product. Beast out of the box without OC. Most games are getting 120+ FPS in 4K with the 5800x. Just the best 3080 you can get.

ASUS ROG Strix FTW!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving this GPU. The only con for me is the increase in price, but it's an overall beast! Coming from gaming consoles (including PS5), this GPU is pretty mind-blowing to me. Delivers excellent performance when Gaming, video editing, and streaming. Obviously consoles don't compare to this, but just a perspective for those coming from gaming consoles. Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x Ram: Corsair Vengeance RBG Pro 32gb @ 3600MHz (16gb x2) Mobo: Asus ROG Strix x570-E Storage: WD Black SN750 1TB (3430 MB/s) PSU: Corsair RM 850W AIO Cooler: Corsair iCue H150i Elite Capellix Fans: Corsair LL 120 RGB

Great when you can buy one!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent GPU runs everything at 1440p ultra with Ray Tracing and DLSS on. Too bad 98% of the people who want one can’t get one. When your day comes and that gray please wait button turns yellow add to cart, and you get a successful checkout, the victory will me that much sweeter. Screw the scalpers, I don’t blame miners, who am I to say how someone uses the products they purchase. If you bot, you suck I don’t care what you’re doing with the card. But again back to the card, I can promise you, the Strix product line has topped itself again.

Not too much need to say
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not really need to say too much about this graphic card. ASUS/ROG means best for gamers. The only thing you need to worry about is the availability.

Strix is the bestest, Strix is the fastest.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Card is a beast. Ran it through the benchmarks and it never broke a sweat unlike another brands RTX card I got last month. I didn't even have any ray tracing games until the free call of duty game that came with this card and I'm hooked on the feature and the performance of this 3080. Eagerly awaiting the next Forza Motorsport to have ray tracing.

Q: QuestionCan I run Minecraft at 1fps on low settings? I have always wanted to play Minecraft but my pc was never powerful enough will this run it with the best ryzen thread ripper there is.
Asked by Prem.
- A:Answer I think maybe you might be able to push 0.90fps, I recommend the RTX 3090 for a faster slideshow.

Q: QuestionWhy is the ROG Strix so much more expensive than the FE and the other AIB cards?
Asked by Patrick.
- A:Answer ASUS has had a long history of producing more reliable aftermarket GPUs than competitors. Their 2080 Ti for instance had more consistent thermals and stable overclocking when compared to its competition. That's why the ASUS Strix 2080 Ti is considered the best on the market currently. You are paying a higher price for that level of quality and consistency.

Q: QuestionCan this run space cadet pinball?
Asked by Willin.
- A:Answer That completely depends on the rest of your PC. If you are wanting to play on MAX setting with more than 5FPS, you might need to upgrade your CPU to thread-ripper. That being said, make sure you are custom water-cooling it with sea water and all applications are closed when playing. I have heard rumors that this game is more demanding than Crysis. So do not expect good performance, highly recommend 2x3090's in SLI for 10FPS.

Q: QuestionHow does ASUS guarantee clock stability with the 6 cheap POSCAPs visible in picture 3 instead of the reference spec's 4 POSCAPs and 2 groups of 10 MLCCs which is known to perform better? Especially since this is $150 more than the founder's edition?
Asked by Jared.
- A:Answer I've seen tear down videos that people have supposedly done on on this card, just google Asus 3080 tear down, its a 5 minute video. In that video I saw the more expensive ones installed on all 6. Fingures crossed this picture here is just a computer generated refernce supplied to Best Buy.

Q: QuestionWhy not allow an application process to reserve orders for real people rather than releasing randomly only to have them bought out by scalpers?
Asked by suggestion.
- A:Answer Because that would be too smart

Q: QuestionIs this the overclocked version? I saw on Newegg that the overclocked version was around $840-$860.
Asked by SimplyViper.
- A:Answer Yes it is, if you look at this model on the best buy app, it shows the model to be RTX3080-O10G which is the OC version.

Q: QuestionShould I give up trying to purchase this or any 3080 BB? I have been checking EVERY day several times a day and have even tried adding some to my CART and failed to purchase one. Why even list them if they are NOT actually for sale?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I have almost given up but they do small waves of restocks, the scalpers and bots will always beat the normal people like us who want one. Just have to keep trying or wait for the hype to die down. Good luck

Q: QuestionWould this bottleneck with a i7-8086k 6 core processor base 4ghz and boost 5ghz? Thanks ahead of time
Asked by Roar.
- A:Answer Bottlenecking is dependent on the game that you are playing, the resolution, graphic settings, and what framerate you are trying to hit. Check out the Gamers Nexus review on Youtube of the 3080 FE card.
