So quick tips for you guys to buythis GPU, this is how I grabbed mine. 1) First of all, look at all the NowInStock sale times for any 3080/3090. 2) Most of them go for sale on Thursday or Friday from 7:05-7:55 am pacific if you shop BestBuy. BestBuy has recently been releasing them in small waves that last up to an hour. You can also try 11:15-11:55 am pacific. 3) When you see the yellow "add to cart" button, the page will refresh and let you know that due to high demand, there will be a delay in adding the item to the cart. 4) Go ahead and refresh the page multiple times. I went up to 6-10x times, maybe 45 secs or so, until it allowed me to add to cart. The page may lag due to high demand. 5) Once in your cart, go ahead and checkout. 6) BestBuy will 2 step verify your account email for a code. Input code and checkout. 7) I would not recommend checking out with Paypal. My friend was forced to 2 step verify twice and lost his GPU before placing the order. I was able to grab this Strix 3080 and a friend nabbed a 3090 FE using this method. He was also apply to add a second GPU, but couldn’t buy to the one per customer limit. Good luck. Pros: For those wondering if BestBuy sells the OC or non-OC version, I was shipped the OC version. Go ahead and buy without concerns. This card is hefty compared to my EVGA 1070. I might decide to use a bracket so it doesn't sag, but it doesn't seem to weigh down too much. Looks pretty sexy, ngl. Idles at about 41* C in my rig. Runs Warzone at 52-56* C. Cold War at 54-59 C *. Fans are currently set to 0 DB mode. My 1070 would run at approx. 65-75* C for both games. I’m not hearing a coil whine from the GPU as well. I’m seeing about 50-80 FPS increase with the Strix 3080 in stock mode. 1070 hit low 90-low 100s. Max in Cold War multi was 225 FPS, with it at about 175-195 for most of it. Will OC at some point. My 1070 was starting to fail me, Warzone would have random GPU crashes. Reports would stay that it failed to run. It was developing a weird fan noise too. No issues with the Strix 3080 and I played a couple of hours. Cons: RGB Control is difficult. Looks like multiple RGB controllers don’t detect the Strix and the ASUS brand controller is glitchy. ICUE doesn't even detect my Strix 3080. Having issues with ASUS GPU Tweak II as well. 3x 8 pin connector is a bit of a hassle if you want to do it right. You're suppose to use at a minimum 2x PCIe cables. Overall very happy with the GPU. Nice to see my rig finally not crash with Warzone. Will probably see how Destiny and Squadrons works with it soon. BestBuy shipped it promptly and I got it 2 business days later. Packing material could’ve been better. The process to buy sucks, but try to use my tips next time. We had luck with it.

After 3 months of trying to get this exact video card I was able to get it in November was worth the wait and the money! It’s just a sexy looking card I would of went for the white strix if I’d known. But I’m happy with my purchase and would do it again :). 10/10 rgb on this card and performance is one of a kind

Amazing product. Beast out of the box without OC. Most games are getting 120+ FPS in 4K with the 5800x. Just the best 3080 you can get.

Loving this GPU. The only con for me is the increase in price, but it's an overall beast! Coming from gaming consoles (including PS5), this GPU is pretty mind-blowing to me. Delivers excellent performance when Gaming, video editing, and streaming. Obviously consoles don't compare to this, but just a perspective for those coming from gaming consoles. Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x Ram: Corsair Vengeance RBG Pro 32gb @ 3600MHz (16gb x2) Mobo: Asus ROG Strix x570-E Storage: WD Black SN750 1TB (3430 MB/s) PSU: Corsair RM 850W AIO Cooler: Corsair iCue H150i Elite Capellix Fans: Corsair LL 120 RGB

Excellent GPU runs everything at 1440p ultra with Ray Tracing and DLSS on. Too bad 98% of the people who want one can’t get one. When your day comes and that gray please wait button turns yellow add to cart, and you get a successful checkout, the victory will me that much sweeter. Screw the scalpers, I don’t blame miners, who am I to say how someone uses the products they purchase. If you bot, you suck I don’t care what you’re doing with the card. But again back to the card, I can promise you, the Strix product line has topped itself again.

Not really need to say too much about this graphic card. ASUS/ROG means best for gamers. The only thing you need to worry about is the availability.

Card is a beast. Ran it through the benchmarks and it never broke a sweat unlike another brands RTX card I got last month. I didn't even have any ray tracing games until the free call of duty game that came with this card and I'm hooked on the feature and the performance of this 3080. Eagerly awaiting the next Forza Motorsport to have ray tracing.

Best 3080 on the market, what can I say? Super happy with it. Good luck trying to find one, but don't give up. I actually managed to snag one during a big Tuesday drop after thinking I would never be so lucky to have one, so be persistent and don't let the scalpers win. You can do it!

So.... let's start off with the rating out of 1/10 on how likely you're to get this card. I would give a solid 6.5 with best buys new terrible system. This 3080 Strix performs very very well in benchmarks with my intel i3-9100F. No bottlenecking going on my CPU pairs perfectly with my 1200mhz ddr3 ram. Very great card for the price highly recommend if you can get your hands on it.

Superb GPU. Arguably one of the best for RTX 3080 if you can't get a MSI Suprim X 3080. Unfortunately the tariffs did bring the price up recently and I couldn't manage to get one before it. Pros: -Silent -Powerful - Getting close to 165 fps in warzone which is nice -Sleek with any theme build Cons: -Price -Shipping was pretty bad (unrelated to Asus). My package was pretty beat up when it arrived. -Availability in stock (obviously)

Great performance and great looks. There isn't much room for additional overclocking in my system but that's okay for a card that's already pushing towards peak performance out of the box. There is a small amount of coil whine but it only appears in a couple of games. The good news is when it does happen it's very quiet and is almost entirely drowned out by the game sounds and computer fans (under a medium load, not jet engine mode). It's only really noticeable when you try to hear it and during quiet parts. If you wear headphones you will not hear it at all. The cooling is also amazing. Even under heavy loads for extended periods the cards temperature stays within an acceptable range while the fans remain relatively quiet (using the stock fan profile). Now, I have to give a warning to anybody who wants to customize the RGB. The ASUS RGB programs (Armory Crate/Aura) are worse than garbage. They're huge, clunky, and unintuitive. Half the time changing settings doesn't even do anything. On top of everything, when I finally do get it to work, my settings get reverted back to the default after a system restart or shutdown. So if you want a certain look you will have to update your settings every time you turn on your PC. The only workaround I could find (after hours of watching instructional videos and trying different things I read online) is to set the RGB how you like it and then completely uninstall the ASUS program. For some reason, that's the only way I could get my RGB to stay how I liked it even through system restarts and shutdowns. Even then, uninstalling the program is a hassle in itself. It will never "fully" uninstall unless you ALSO download the uninstaller from the ASUS website. In addition to the terrible RGB programs, the ASUS GPU Tweak II performance tool is also terrible. This card comes with 2 fan headers built in which is really nice, but the program needed to control the headers makes them not worth using. The program crashes consistently whenever I change certain settings which makes it unusable, literally. After it crashes I cannot use some features unless I completely uninstall and reinstall it. It also crashes some games when the overlay is enabled. Do yourself a favor, get a splitter or a hub if you need extra fan headers and use MSI Afterburner. I've read that some of the issues the programs were giving me didn't happen for people who also used an ASUS motherboard, which I don't have. If you have an ASUS motherboard things may go a lot more smoothly for you but keep everything I've said in mind if you have a MB made by any other brand. To summarize, buy this card for the amazing out of box performance, cooling, and style. Avoid any ASUS software. 4 starts instead of 5 because the software is so bad. I'm almost temped to give it 3 stars because of the software but that's just because I had such a bad experience with it. Forget about using the cool onboard fan headers. Use a 3rd party program for performance customization and your life will be so much better. This is arguably the best 3080 you can buy, ignoring the high cost.

I mean wow. At $1009.04, I can honestly say it was worth. I own the 3070 variant and grabbed this one for my brother, but got to test it before handing it over. It takes 3 8-pin connectors and is massive. All of the 30 series STRIX cards are the exact same on the outside, besides the pin count. It is a beautiful card and the performance is insane. With Doom, I was getting too many frames at Max Settings, 1440p. 300+ constantly, it honestly felt overkill. For Forza, Max Settings, 1440p, the benchmark mode scored 183FPS, but actually in game, I was getting 180-210 constantly. If you can get this, you have a unicorn. I have no doubt this is the best AIB of the 30 series.

Amazing card with great cooling and performance. Idles at around 28c and 65c while gaming. Be wary that this card takes three 8-pin connectors. If you’re someone like me who likes using third-party cables, make sure you buy the correct amount.

Managed to snag one. Card ran kind of hot on air, 80c max temp underload. Had to undervolt it on air for it to get decent temps. Since I bought the EK vector WB and added it to my loop card never hits about 40c on water. With a solid oc of 125 core 750 mem. Time spy score of 19.4k. Great card if you can get one. DO NOT BUY FROM THE SCALPERS JUST BE PAITENCE AND WAIT.

Please keep in mind this review is a reflection of the part itself... not the price, ongoing scalping, and availability. The card is a beast. It's already overclocked beyond the FE models and I've further pushed it to 1995MHz (keep in mind it'll boost beyond what you set it to based on certain conditions... I've seen 2070MHz without touching the fan profile on the stock air cooler) on the Core and 21.2GB/s on the memory (stress tested for crashes and pushed memory until performed started dropping). I would recommend Afterburner instead of GPU Tweak II however.
