So, I might be overthinking this, but im not sure how I feel about the case. Overall quality is nice, but i feel like the "kickstand" built into the case is unnecessary. 1st off the kickstand will block the fans, causing the device to over heat. 2nd, it looks like the velcro might scratch the ROG ally over time. If it does not affect how the device fits, I'll probably remove the kickstand or return it for a different case.

[Employee of bestbuy] As a travel case this will get the job done by basic means of covering the entire system. That being said, it is an over priced case. This case does have a nice soft internal padding but no outer or in between hard shell. You can still feel the joysticks being pressed in certain areas so be careful if you are packing this item. It also does not have a carry handle, so be prepared to have a good grip on the entire case. There are small little fabric tabs you can insert some sort of camera lanyard or other type of strap, but does not feel as if it is intended as so to be used. The Asus also sits inside just enough, and if you are not careful enough you can zipper the trigger to get caught. The case does offer a nice little built in flap that serves as a stand, although it covers part of the intake fan. I would ultimately recommend avoiding this, if you're wanting something more practical. If you want to collect the official case by all means it will be decent, but if you want better value you could just order the insignia steam deck case. The quality of this product does seem like it feel nice. Would like another official case with more features

The ROG Ally is an incredible portable computer. Just be aware that it exactly what it is: a computer. If you are expecting a simple plug and play experience like the Switch, or even the Steam Deck, this is not the device for you. This runs full Windows and with that comes the fact that you're going to have to do a lot of changing of settings, dealing with files, and troubleshooting. All of this is not Asus' fault, it's the nature of the beast of PC gaming. If you are already a PC gamer then you know what you're in for. If you have never gamed on PC before then get ready to Google, lots. All this being said, the design of the device, screen, and audio are all top notch. The performance is surprisingly good and the amount of freedom to do whatever you want is second to none. Extremely satisfied with my purchase.

I bought a steam deck and was not happy with performance and how rough steam os is, I've also wanted a laptop and I can use this exactly like a laptop, battery life is just to short with this device, but that's solved with a over 65w external charger, only other issue I've found is that the 30 watt mode actually goes up to like 45, and the device just stays super hot, which apparently hasn't ended well with peoples sd cards. That being said I made a custom one at 28 watts and stays under 80c, you gain little performance over 35 watts, and can get surprising performance for pretty low wattage, I was playing BOTW max at 15 watts getting 25-30 fps, also windows 11 on this is nice, making me want to upgrade my w10 devices, the speakers are so much better than the steam decks and you can just tell instantly. the only place that is a fingerprint magnet is the touch screen, which I've put a DBRAND glass cover on so i don't ruin the screen. would recommend for a friend or buy for a gift since its on sale right now!

Fits ally good wish it had a better ally stand but it holds ally good for travelers

Very nice case with enough protection for your Rog Ally. It also has a place to store memory cards and it also doubles as a stand to keep your Rog Ally standing up. It's small so it will fit in your backpack very easily.

I love this case it a good quality it has storage room for you Sd card and it has holes so that the joy-sticks can fit in with out damaging your controlers but this case do not have hard material to prevent fall damage so you still have to be careful with it.

Not a terrible case but not great, it doesn’t allow you to carry the charger or anything extra with the ally. Decent padding in it but too tight of a fit

I like the design of the case. Although, a harder case material, such as the material used to make the Steam Deck case, would’ve been a much better choice here for overall device safety. It’s not bad for the price, and good enough overall.

It's difficult to say a lot about a travel case- it's just a decent case that will definitely protect your ROG Ally well enough. I do wish Asus had added a handle to it like the Steam Deck case, but other than that I don't have any complaints.

Very good quality, the console fits perfectly into the mold of the case, the price really is worth it. Even with the cover case it fits perfectly. I would 100% recommend this.

Nothing special about this case. Wish it was a little more firm, and had room to keep the charger that came with the ROG Ally. All it has room for is a cable, and not much else.

This is a soft bodied case with an ostentatious aesthetic. While it will hold your Ally in place with its depressions for the analog sticks and Velcro pad that offers storage for a couple SD cards and a small cable, don’t expect this to offer any real protection for your device or the expansive storage options of other cases. You’d do better to grab a Steam Deck case from TomToc until other third party options arrive.

Great case for bare rog ally I have a hardshell case on mine and it can be really tight to close the case. Inside is a small flap with velcrow that can be made into a stand

Excellent item, for the Asus Rog Ally. Very quality made & keeps your Asus Rog Ally Protected from damage.

It serves its purpose, but doesn't really allow you to carry much else with you. I have a rather small SSD in an external case and usb-c cable in the case, and it's VERY snug with the Ally in there. I'm really concerned for the sticks when it's zipped with the SSD and cable in the case. There's no possible way you're getting the charger in the case with the Ally, period. It's well made but small and tight. As you can see in the pictures it's bulging just with the SSD and cable in the case.

Provides solid protection for the ROG Ally for when you're traveling. The case is also pretty thin, so it doesn't add much thickness to the Ally (see photo, assuming it isn't too distorted), making it easy to slide into a backpack when traveling

It does its job as intended, protecting the device securely. The only issue is that there is no room to store the device charger.

It’s a good well made case. The one that comes with the steam deck is a bit more robust, but this one looks better and will protect the device just as well.
