Laptop good, open box...not so much.

The laptop did not come with a power cord and Gillian W, never wiped the laptop before returning. A bit disheartened as open box was listed as excellent. Recovery key - needed to update Windows...Best Buy should have cleared out Gillians information.

Great Photo/Video Editing and CAD laptop

For the price, this ASUS gave me all that I required without going over the top. It's also well equipped to use as a gaming unit if so desired.

Trackpad makes rattling sound

But for a laptop that costs $2399 it should be flawless. The trackpad started making rattling noises within a week. Tried multiple untis but it's the same. I couldn't stomach spending that much on a laptop to then find out build quality concerns hence I returned it

We certainly understand your disappointment with the laptop and the inconvenience this may have caused if the touchpad started making a rattling noise with a week of usage. ASUS is an ISO certified company, and as a result, all products go into a strict quality manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free. The rattling noise from the touchpad is a random problem. ASUS provides warranty coverage for the product. We recommend you send the product in for service so this may be resolved immediately. An RMA number is required to send it in for service. Great for CAD and Photography

MediaTek Wi-Fi Card

It will disconnect every 5 minutes or so and take 3-4 minutes just to reconnect. It also doesn't properly work with basic wifi portals. Avoid this laptop at all costs, especially since it cost over 2000$ Asus went with the worst possible wifi card provider and this ruins the laptop entirely.

Disappointed in this ASUS laptop- battery related

The battery life is very poor right out of the gate. It depleted fully within 3 1/2 -4 hours just browsing and checking email, etc. I needed decent battery to be able to do photo editing, so this was not going to work for me. Returned it. I have been an ASUS owner for 15 years and loved my first two laptops. I will say the battery on those were not great either. I had hoped this newer generation would be good, and it was not.
