The trackpad is so horrible it literally crashes Windows, sometimes within minutes of booting up. The trackpad will regularly become unresponsive, the mouse cursor will shoot all over the screen regardless of where your finger is, and within seconds of that windows will crash. Reinstalling drivers, using generic windows drivers, and even completely reinstalling windows from scratch fixed nothing. Completely unusable and Best Buy's response is to return it to ASUS for 3 weeks, which at the time was longer than I had owned the computer. I had an even longer and more scathing review ready to post and then it crashed. Best Buy is asking me below where I am typing this if I would recommend this to a friend, I wouldn't even recommend this to my worst enemy.

This is my first Asus computer purchase and will definitely be my last. The computer was purchased for taking online classes and using Microsoft Office. This computer is the slowest booting and slowest operating computer I have ever owned. According to customer support, it is normal for the computer to lock up in the middle of operating and/or freeze without warning to complete updates. Asus customer service has been contacted multiple times and have been told that the computer is frozen or slow because of updates and to give it between a couple of hours and a day to complete. Asus customer service also indicates that the slowness of the computer is not the computer itself but instead is likely the fault of the operating system. I have never had this issue with less expensive computers...buyer beware.

Out of the box tried to setup the laptop. The laptop kept on freezing. Restarted 10 times. Some services kept on freezing. Finally giving up after spending more than 3days .

This computer never worked well - freezes; quits and restarts; so slow it's painfull. Took it in a week after buying and Best Buy said I would have to pay for repairs. Disgusted with Best Buy and this computer.

crashed hard drive in 45 days stuck on repairing c drive. very disappointed money down the drain. should have went with the reviews of "do not buy!"

I purchased this laptop a week ago. Was much smaller than I was use to but It was recommended by the sales person. So I thought I would give it a try. Started getting use to smaller screen but then yesterday it started freezing up every time I tried to get on the internet. Both Microsoft edge and google Crome would not respond to anything. Could still get on it with my old HP laptop. But not with new one. Tried everything I knew to do to get it to work. Both are running Windows 10. Ready to throw this new one in the trash. Going to try to take it back to Best Buy but not sure if they will take it back since I have had it a week.

While setting this computer up it crashed 3 times before I had even installed any software on it. The machine was way too slow, just about every mouse click resulted in a pause of several seconds or longer. The trackpad is practically unusable -- the mouse jumps all over the screen. Keyboard feels cheap and was difficult to use. Middle of the keyboard had a lot of flex to it and the keys just did not feel very comfortable. I could not imagine myself being able to type any lengthy document with this laptop. After spending about 4 hours trying to get this thing setup, I gave up in frustration and returned it to the store.

I’ve had this product for a few years but I rarely use it. Disk goes to 100% frequently and it’s literally unusable. I have zoom Spotify, Firefox, Malwarebytes and R on it and it just always runs at full capacity on the disk. Imagine if I wanted to have other applications in core i5 computer. I absolutely will never buy another Asus

Just returned my second Q304 for the same reason. It locks up frequently and in the first instance, the repair option was to reinstall completely or replace. The second unit froze when I was 10 minutes from beginning an 8 hr training session. Fortunately, I had a backup laptop with me. Very unreliable unit. Look elsewhere if you want something dependable.

This laptop keeps freezing. Spent 10 times rebooting. One time it took 20 minutes to load and 5 minutes to shut down. I checked the computer was not doing updates or anything. I have not even installed anything. Too slow. Be aware.

This laptop was great for two weeks. After that it would not load pass the BIOS screen. I was told that is would need a new motherboard, luckily Best Buy allowed me to exchange. Sadly that one began to mess up too.

Terrible. Always slow when running and now since late last year 2020 it stop boot up. Piece of junk

It's a piece of trash. Can't even watch videos without freezing ALL THE TIME. Too slow ALL the time. It's a brand new computer, it shouldn't be this slow.

This laptop is the worst I have purchased! Not even a full 3 years and it's already broken! Its stuck on EZ mode BIOS screen?!
