Bad light bleed on top edges of screen.

Mine had horrible light bleed on the top of the screen in three different areas. At this price point I expected better quality in this laptop. Ended up returning due to store having no more in stock.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, the light bleeding from the screen or display is a random problem. Normally, ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or part that stop working prematurely under normal usage.

purchased laptop

The keyboard has been used a lot! One of the keys doesn't seem to work well. I knew, when I bought it, that the laptop was a returned item, but the salesman assured me that the computer went through a thorough scan to ensure it was in excellent condition. It is not.

The the cost of the merchant a signature should of been used. I will not do business with best buy since my laptop could if been stolen just left in the front yard

I have no faith in Asus

It has been just over a year when the keyboard malfunctioned. The keys would intermittently start typing by themselves ruining my work. The keyboard had to be replaced along with the display. When I picked it up from Geek Squad, it still didn’t work! It wouldn’t reboot, so I sent it back to be repaired. As a result, it seems the hard drive needed replacing. And today, my touch screen isn’t working and I have circles coming up the center of my screen. Unbelievable!

Store lied about: 1) Giving an additional 10% discount, promised and agreed with the sales assistant.. then told it was not possible, nor would they discount the other Item as compensation (not possible!!!) Told the item would get a full manufacturers 1 year warranty took 4 hours with ASUS who would only offer 3 months. ASUS will also not allow extended warranties to be purchased on BESYBUY sales (its some sort of agreement they have with BestBuy due to Geek Squad - inhouse repair Somebody as far to often is BSing the customer

I finally got a hold of Geek Squad on 2/4/2021. They determined the driver was not there that controls this. I told them we were 200 miles away. They gave me ticket N17Q221 at which time they would determine what they would do. This should be a returnable item. I also called ASUS help line & they determined that a driver was missing & it would not download. They were surprised Best Buy did not help any better & gave us RMA=USPCM20944 & TOOK NOTE OF THIS,

The memory size is enough in order to run WINDOWS and popular software or applications efficiently without compromising speed or performance. If additional data storage space is required, this can easily be resolved by using a memory card or external USB devices.

Frustrated

We do understand your disappointment and the incovenience if you are experiencing slow system speed or performance issue with the laptop.
The preinstalled software doesn't affect the performance of the laptop. The performance issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. If these steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/. Also, while accessing web applications, please ensure the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance.

Christmas dissatisfaction

Bring back for replacement but very disappointing and dissatisfied. I’m saying no if I would recommend for now.
