    Keypad symbols are hard to see IE: @#*> etc etc. Illumination is not real good but livable, so far so good time will tell !

    $1K Trash Can

    (1) I exchanged this laptop for a similar ASUS laptop because the touch pad was not working properly. The new one I received had the same issue. The touchpad stops functioning, glitches, then randomly starts clicking...this was not an isolated issue and appears to be the case for all new laptops out of the box. (2) The battery life is frustrating. I have a Toshiba laptop that is 5 years old and can last days without being plugged in. This ASUS laptop lasts maybe an hour off of the charger, and needs to be plugged in permanently or (heaven forbid) it will die on you in the middle of something important, like a project or exam. (3) Even though the RAM, and storage/hard-drive are advertised as being "large," the computer crashes and freezes a lot! I've had the computer stop responding and crash during exams. This is a $1K trash-can filled with headaches.

      We do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience if you are experiencing an unresponsive touchpad and a slow system speed or performance issue.





      These issues are temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. If these steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/. Also, while accessing web applications, please ensure the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance, and the responsiveness of the touchpad.

    Terrible

    My mom bought this laptop a while ago for her own use. It's awful. The build quality is questionable at best, it's a top-heavy build. Overall the laptop just feels clunky, also the battery just straight up died the other day even though it had less than 100 hours of use on it. Never buying an Acer product after this.

    Doesn't work

    Bought open box and it is almost like they built the laptop without the network adapter. Returning it since I haven't been able to fix it and it should work out of the box without me having to try new drivers.
