Horrible laptop, OK gaming system.

Press the sleep button, close the lid, or wait past the idle limit; it never will do anything but a complete power on reset. I am a software developer who needed a powerful but easily commutable laptop. On the few occasions I played games, this did a respectable job, and it compiles / builds my work as fast as my desktop machine but you have to ensure you constantly save lest it "sleep" and progress is lost

Portable and great for productivity.

Beautiful touch screen, great compact size. Processor is great and ram is super fast. Not very user upgradable though and gaming performance is disappointing. Likely because the 3050 TI inside only gets about 30W of power. Overall very nice 2 in 1 package, but if you want good gaming probably get a Zephyrus. UserBenchmark rates it at RTX 2060S level gaming performance.

Sleep Issues

Then everytime it would go into sleep mode, it would not wake up and I’d have to turn it off and lost a lot of my unsaved work. Best portabilty w/ amazing speed for work and fun

You see, i have to have multiple programs opened and web browsers just consume just about every resource available. Getting this laptop was an absolute fame changer! I can multitask without loosing any power. It opens up quick and has great sound too. The best part, i can also fame on it and performs good. Ifs not perfect, it needs usb hubs to be able to connect stuff, it lacks sd card reader, so definitely need to have an extra usb hub that adds those things.

Stopped working in ~4 months

Then suddenly last week, the laptop would not work unless plugged into the charger, and would not charge past 21%. Then, after a couple days of that, it stopped working altogether. I'm very disheartened to have spent over $1,000 on a laptop for it to stop working in less than half a year of light (primarily college work) use.

DO NOT BUY

I am a long time owner and supporter of ASUS computers, which is why I purchased this when my old AUSUS laptop finally died. Nothing but problems with this laptop. It constantly freezes, won't shut down, won't turn on, the mouse lags so bad you have do a hard shut down. And when I say constant, it's close to every time I use it. The kicker is, I am not a gamer, I bought this stupid laptop for school and to pay my bills - that's it and it can't even handle that. If I could return this I would.

Hardware failure (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth) after 1 Day

Liked the size, the ease of setup, etc. The fan noise is noticeable, but acceptable given the size and power of the package. Woke up this morning and the unit had no internet or bluetooth functionality. Spent two hours on the phone with ASUS. We loaded new drivers, uninstalled the devices and eventually used a Restore Point from yesterday, back when everything worked. No luck. The diagnosis is an internal hardware failure after one day. We're in the midst of an ice storm, but I will return the unit as soon as it's safe to do so. Disappointing.

This laptop has some issues vs the 2021 model.

My first order had damaged speakers(made buzzing sounds when playing audio)/battery (Sometimes wouldn't charge) and my replacement has the exact same problem with the speakers, but not as severe. I accidently purchased the 2021 model prior so I got to see what that one is also like compared to the 2022 model. The 2022 model with the 6900hs runs 5 degrees hotter than the 2021 model with the 5900hs cpu. This is to be expected but a huge downside as the 2021 model already runs hot since it is in such a compact form. On top of all of this Windows 11 sucks. It lags and always opens applications with weird window sizes. I plan to "downgrade" to windows 10 if I can put up with the buzzing sounds that come from the speakers. I would highly suggest just buying the 2021 301QE model if you don't want to worry about maybe getting a dud the performance difference is so negligable I would say its overall the better option.

Repeatedly crashed. Do not buy.

The computer screen would suddenly go black and would restart. Then it would repeatedly crash when trying to log back into my account. I'd eventually be able to get in and use it for a bit, only for it to crash again later. I made sure to update all software and firmware but that didn't fix the problem. This shouldn't happen on a brand new computer, so I returned it. Do not buy this computer.

To resolve the issue, please check if Windows and chipset driver are up to date besides updating software and firmware. If recent Windows update were installed, the laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily while updates are being applied in the System Registry. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. While accessing online games or web applications, please ensure the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since poor or unstable internet connection will definitely affect system stability and performance.
