    This product was funky from the start and every attempt to rectify it was a failure. Do not buy this machine.

    Gone in a puff of smoke. Seconds after connecting the charging cable smoke started pouring out the cooling vent. I immediately unplugged but the damage was done. It had been out of the box for about 10 seconds and never turned on. Shame as it was a great concept and a good sale price but that is some scary quality control. With other options for gaming, this one is a pass.

    Bad charging problem

    I wanted this to be perfect but it just wasn’t. It had a weird issue that it would no longer recognize the OEM charger, would die and wouldn’t turn back on unless I used a third-party charger to charge it.

    This is the first model. It has screen issues. It was returned and exchanged for a same model. We will see how it goes.

    Once they break, ASUS will tell you to kick rocks

    Broke within 2 months of purchase. Won't turn on and ASUS won't honor their 1 year manufacturer's warranty. This isn't Best Buy's fault, but a quick search on Reddit or anywhere reveals that ASUS's post-sales customer care is apocalyptic. It's a shame since their machines are wonderful till they break.

    This is the worst laptop I ever had in my life, bought it August 2 2023, within two weeks it had a key problem, we took it to the geek squad and they somehow fixed that and now the laptop crashed day before yesterday! Never ever suggest anyone to purchase this laptop even if you got it for free!

    3rd Asus ROG I’ve bought. Loved the Zephyrus Duo. Bought this one and it had nothing but problems. Mouse stop working first day and mic would not work. Returning them do not but too many issues.

      All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, these are random problems. To resolve the touchpad issue and improve its responsiveness and stability, please install all recommended WINDOWS Update. If this was performed, the touchpad may become unresponsive whie updates are being applied in the System Registry. This issue will go away once updates were completely applied. If you are accessing web applications, please verify if the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will affect the responsiveness of the touchpad. About the microphone issue, please verify in the Sound Settings if the correct input device(microphone) was setup. If running an audio or video-conferencing application, check the built-in microphone was selected, also.

    The charges was not good, it doesn’t charge and out of no where it stops charging, i went to the customer service and they did dnot fix the problem

    Very disappointed. Item was described as excellent. Apparently, they never bothered to try and use it. The screen would not turn on. Had to return it. Charged a restocking fee.

    Touchscreen is the only redeeming factor

    Not nearly as good as it should have been. Games don't run smoothly compared to a similar desktop graphics cards and if you try to use high quality graphics, the machine will overheat and automatically shut down instantly when it reaches 95C. Some crashes are quickly fixed by rebooting (and losing all unsaved data) but recently my laptop just broke down entirely and does not reboot anymore. I've had this laptop for maybe 6 months and it already broke down...

      We do understand your concern about the overheating and auto-shutdown issues.



      It is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications, processes and services are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature and may cause auto-shutdown. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.



      If the laptop will no longer boot up or it's just black screen, please do the following. Verify if the AC adapter is connected properly from the laptop to a known good power outlet or AC source. Try another power source. Try to press and hold down the power button to shut it down completely, just in case laptop is not in hibernate mode, wait for at least 10 seconds then power on. Please wait, if the system is applying updates in the System Registry, it will black screen temporarily. If it still black screen after a few minutes, at least 10 minutes, please repeat the power cycle process again. Also, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory. This will reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the laptop until the battery was charged.
