Only issue is they could have added at least one more usb A or C input for more accessories. Still recommended though.

But don't sell it short as an item just for it. Any video over c device can use it too. Its output can scale from 5W-1A to 65W-3A depending on whats needed.

My big issue with it is that it won't wake the TV when I turn the console on. On the most current firmware, the console does it with the official dock so idk, YMMV. Otherwise works totally fine. Just make sure to catch it when it goes on (frequent) sale.

Great device - Should be faster at this price.

My only criticism is that the USB port should be at least 3.0, as this would allow greater expansion so I might end up having to get a better dock for my main TV and use this one for travelling instead. If all you need is HDMI and 1 USB then this is excellent.

However, the charger is finicky. I updated the firmware to use it with Nintendo Switch and other devices, but it will randomly stop charging. This has happened with iPads, the Steam Deck, a Kindle and other USB-C devices.

Multi Function Power Adapter

This adapter is nice considering the lack of ports on the Ally. I would not consider this a dock, but it has most features a dock would in a limited manner. That said, I felt compelled to purchase a USB hub as the "dock" only has one USB port. I also had to buy a short extension cable to run into my entertainment system as the dock and power supply are the same. So given that I needed to spend an additional $25 to make the unit work I am on the wall about keeping it.

Now I keep one in my case and one plugged in next to my TV. It’s super easy hooking the ROG Ally to the TV with this small dock.
