Before buying it I was using a USB-C hub but unfortunately the Ally did not allow me to use the 30 watt turbo profile in that configuration. I see no reason other than the Ally identifying that it’s not the charger it expects therefore not enabling the profile when using a USB-C hub and charger capable of 100 watt PD but what can I do about it? Bought the official thing and now everything works as expected. It’s well built, the cord looks great too.

Multi Function Power Adapter

This adapter is nice considering the lack of ports on the Ally. I would not consider this a dock, but it has most features a dock would in a limited manner. That said, I felt compelled to purchase a USB hub as the "dock" only has one USB port. I also had to buy a short extension cable to run into my entertainment system as the dock and power supply are the same. So given that I needed to spend an additional $25 to make the unit work I am on the wall about keeping it.

Noticed charging is sometimes weird when other devices are plugged in like a mouse and keyboard. I havent tinkered with it much to see if it has anything to do with led lights on the keyboard.

Allows turbo power level on the Ally while charging and also allows an extra USB-A device to be plugged in and an HDMI cord for an external monitor.

Now I keep one in my case and one plugged in next to my TV. It’s super easy hooking the ROG Ally to the TV with this small dock.

My big issue with it is that it won't wake the TV when I turn the console on. On the most current firmware, the console does it with the official dock so idk, YMMV. Otherwise works totally fine. Just make sure to catch it when it goes on (frequent) sale.
