    Tried using this with the ROG Ally and it was awful. Thought it might've been defective so I exchanged it for another. Same experience. It could barely handle a wireless keyboard and mouse. The connection would cut out constantly and eventually the hdmi output to the TV wouldn't be recognized. Having tried this product more than once, I can't recommend it to anyone.

      We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused.



      All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, these are random problems. The charger doesn't support wireless charging, the issue with the wireless keyboard and mouse is possibly related to the unit to where the wireless devices are connected. Regarding the HDMI output not recognizing the TV, please verify if the TV supports HDMI out charging and the charging cable is working properly.     Worked great for the time that it DID work. HDMI port died after just two weeks of owning it. Maybe had 6 hours of use on it.

    I have 2 and neither of them work as intended. 1 starts and stops charging randomly and the battery drains 1 does not charge anything at all - not a phone, nothing. Dead on arrival I have been waiting for a new one to come in stock and nothing is available since the device released and I was able to test if it worked. Unfortunate

    Bad product and service

    The charger dock may randomly stop charging the Ally. I set the power scheme to performance mode and it ran warm but still experienced charging issues. I tested different power outlets, power adapters and USB-C charging cables with no issues found. The funny part is Asus asked me to ship the charger dock for repair, and then pay for the return shipping fee. Greedy ASUS!

    I purchased this and it arrived a week before the rog Ally released. Did good at charging, but the second time i used it to do turbo mode my Ally started to vibrate with a pulse game went to 1 frame a second and the charge lite started to flash. Now it wont charge my Ally. Cord still transfer's deta. But no charge.

    Faulty after just 2 months

    2 months after purchasing the dock it died. The HDMI and USB features worked fine but power delivery dropped. I tested the dock in a multitude of different ways, using different plugs and outlets, different cords etc. Its extremely disappointing to see that after just 2 months of use it stopped working, essentially making it a $65 paper weight.

    Power brick is now just a brick, won't charge

    Stopped providing power via the USB-C port to charge my ROG Ally just past the return window. Ally makes a noise when it's plugged in, as though it sees it, but it does not provide any power. Tested with a known good 100w USB-C power cable as well as the included ASUS 65w cable. Ally can still be charged with other chargers.

    Severely needs more slots for usb and other things like ethernet and hdmi. Luckily, plenty of things like that do exist in dock form, so you can rest it and plug it into a setup. If you do plug it in to only this, how are you gonna see the screen without still holding the ally?

    I picked mine up brought home it never worked, I checked the continuity of 5v was shorted to ground. Is not dead cables like others are guessing, this thing destroys the USB-c cables.

    Don't buy this piece of junk. Have had multiple break. Asus support says take it to the store. Go to the store and they say there's nothing they can do. Left the last one at the store and walked out. Money blown.

    Stopped working almost immediately. When plugged in when off it no longer charges the Ally. If I plug it in when on it makes the Ally constantly vibrate and I get a warning about not using an official charger.

    Better off buying another option and vendor

    I’m his makes no sense. Why give a dock. That has enough power to power your device but not enough to to charge while it’s plugged in and connected to docking components like a rgb keyboard mouse and speakers.

    It works for the ally. .. but thats it. overpriced

    I bought it, used it once and returned it. For this price i went with an anker charger and a usbc dock. More versatile, still turbos at 30W, and they play well with others.

    Doesnt charge device while outputting through hdmi

    This product is misleading. One would assume you can keep the asus rog ally charging while outputting to a monitor/tv, but it can't handle doing this simultaneously.

    It over priced for the quality
