This is definitely not the norm and is not the type of quality to expect from ASUS products. Best dock available for portable gaming consoles.

This is the only dock available anywhere that allows your ROG ALLY to go into turbo mode when you are docked. Do youself a favor and get one of these the next time they are back in stock!

If you get an ally definitely pick this charger dock up too it makes it into a legit PC version of the Switch

After gaming for two or three hours the USB adapter for the Xbox controller and HDMI metal piece are extremely hot. I don’t know if mine is defective or if they’re all like that. Honestly, because of this, I just play it handheld.
