Usually a tablet will come hamstrung with a CPU barely able to browse the internet without chugging. Not on this machine! You have a 16 core beast that is going to match any of the top of the line laptops out there. Then the APU is where the power efficiency shines though, scaling all the way from 8w up to 100w. The 64GB of ram really is the sugar on top, making sure you have enough for the most poorly optimized games or an overly-modded Minecraft. If I had to be critical only the battery capacity could have been bigger, if at the sacrifice of a slightly thicker chassis. But with the efficiency of the machine that is a mute point.

Fastest Tablet/Laptop APU on the Market!

This thing is a BEAST! The fastest APU (CPU/iGPU) combination on the market, I've been able to throw a vast majority of games, applications, and software tools at it without a hiccup. I was previously running on other laptops and Surface Pro devices with eGPUs, and this has been outpacing those dGPUs - Intel Arc B580, RTX 3080, and it showing results around an RTX 4070 Ti. Really pleased with the overall build, multiple levels of controls to tweak and adjust the tuning, great battery life, amazing display, and very quiet even under load. The only "con" of this device is its price-tag. But this truly is a scenario of you absolutely get what you pay for with quality and performance, one device to rule them all. I no longer need a desktop, laptop, or tablet, this does it all.

The Best Device on the Market - But do you need it

This is an interesting device - maybe the best of all time (currently). The issue is not whether or not it should be purchased, but whether or not you specifically need it. For me, I returned mine because I primarily sit at my desk and found a major steal on a strix scar 18" which is a bit more powerful on the CPU side and much more powerful on the GPU side - but make no mistake this is the best technology on the market. It's BLAZING fast and the GPU is capable of high settings with almost any game. I did run into some APU issues, and ASUS has to sort out the usb c thing, but other than that i think we are in for a good next few years.

This device is amazing. It is a workhorse for gaming and productivity tasks. It is extremely portable for traveling and with a controller, it makes this an amazing gaming on the device. Timespy puts it around a 4060m gpu with a score of around 10.5k.

Excellent machine to cover all sorts of tasks, from gaming to locally hosted LLMs, you can control amount of RAM going to GPU, you can still carry this thing around, display is good and fast, overall - I'm very happy with the purchase

This is truly a one of a kind device witg what it offers, it is so portable and really powerful, it plays all the games I want to play at good settings wherever I am. I like being able to detach the keyboard and use it propped up with a controller. It’s the ultimate couch gaming tool. And so much more powerful than a gaming handheld. It’s built really well and looks super dope. I can’t recommend it enough for how good it is. Truly my favorite piece of tech.

The Z Flow 13 is an impressive machine—its ultra-portable form factor and powerful performance make it a fantastic choice for gaming on the go. I was able to play demanding titles like Lies of P without a hitch, which speaks volumes about its capabilities.
However, I couldn’t give it a full five stars due to the bulky charging brick. It significantly reduces the device’s portability, which feels like a mismatch for such a sleek setup. From what I can tell, it doesn’t support charging via a 100W USB-C charger, which would’ve been a more travel-friendly option.
Also worth noting: while it's a powerhouse, heavy gaming does drain the battery fast. Expect around an hour of playtime on AAA titles when unplugged

This was such a cool concept and I really wanted to love it and make it my go-to gaming device for travel, but it just left me a little bit wanting for a proper discrete graphics mobile solution. I ended up getting the Asus Zephyrus 14 with the 5080 for that need. I will say coming from a Surface 11 tablet this Flow Z13 blew that out of the water and then some in the performance category. Also the fact it is a fully-fledged Windows device and not ARM makes a difference in gaming but also takes a hit in the battery life category. You will want to be close to a power source if you plan on using this thing for more than an hour or so as it sucks down the juice to deliver those pretty pixels.

This laptop/tablet is the top level on portability and performance. There is nothing you can't handle on this device, from office and web browsing to gaming and local AI stuff. Centainly you can get better gaming OR better AI OR better display, etc., but you have to choose; the best "all-in-one" package definitively is this one.

I purchased the 64gb version. Product is definitely a niche product since you can get a G14 with the 5070ti for pretty much the same price. I own a G14 4070 (phenomenal device) and I find myself grabbing this device more often simply because you can place it on your lap without a tray and it runs pretty much the same frames as the G14 in most games I've tried. I also don't usually use the armoury crate power profiles, but the performance profile usually performs well enough that I haven't had to make any manual profiles to play any of my games. Compared to the G14 you almost are required to make a power profile because the crate ones almost always run hot. My only gripes with the device is the battery life is terrible when gaming, comparative to using the G14 when gaming, and you will need an outlet close by. The keyboard is probably also the weak link as there seems to be a lagging issue going on with a lot of the trackpads (google z13 touchpad delay reddit). It isnt all the time, but it is frequent enough that the cursor seems to slow down responsiveness, to where you notice it enough and it affects the whole experience of your almost 3k laptop. Did reach out to Asus about receiving another keyboard to try and they wanted to RMA the whole device. Opted against that since the rest of the device is performing fine. Asus support being Asus support. Hoping they send an update out for the keyboard.

Excellent performance from the 395 chip. Giving it 4 stars cause it should come with an OLED screen given the price. Battery life can also be improved more. I want at least 80wh for the next Flow Z13.

This thing is amazing - great for gaming - great laptop for productivity - great tablet. It's well worth the expensive price, it really shouldn't even exist. Gaming performance is between a 4060 and 4070 mobile card.

As a creative, gamer and father, sometimes it's not easy to relax for a quick second and get time to work or game with the kiddo around. This device let's me easily do all my tasks with ease and portability. Removing the keyboard makes it a great gaming device paired with a Bluetooth controller. Attaching the keyboard let's it be a powerful workstation form factor wise. It's super responsive and can run anything i throw at it. A beautiful IPS panel with great color accuracy too. Highly recommend if you need an all in one device like me.

Now, they're calling this a "laptop"; it is not. It is a Windows tablet with a keyboard. A great keyboard, at that. I've spent a little over a week with this device in 64GB- With 32GB allocated to the Max+'s iGPU. I can say with real confidence that this device punches extremely far above its class, the "4060-to-4070-ish performance in an iGPU" is real. I had some horror stories coming from an existing all-AMD laptop, the Zephyrus G14 with the 6900HS and Radeon 6700S, and I've experienced none of the problems I had there on this so far. Its stability has been absolutely perfect, and its capacity (even in the middle-of-the-road trim, the 64GB) for local deep-learning environments is next-level for a device of this class.
(Also, AMD, direct ROCm support for this APU, please?? Pretty please???)

It was fantastic for gaming but for regular pc usage it was pretty abysmal. It can’t be used on your lap and also basic windows usage would make it load for freeze a lot. I’m sure mine was defective although as stated for gaming it was amazing.

Cool Concept, Confusing Value: ASUS ROG Flow Z13

This device left me scratching my head — it’s both impressive and frustrating.
Pros:
Design: The kickstand hinge and motherboard glass lighting are genuinely cool touches.
Display & Input: The screen is decent, the keyboard feels good, and the trackpad is serviceable.
Performance: The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 is stellar, and the software experience is better than average.
Ports: Adequate for a compact device.
Cons:
Screen: In 2025, a 13.4" 2.5K panel at 180Hz feels underwhelming at this price point. Glossy, odd refresh rate, and not competitive.
Usability: Despite the specs, stutters were frequent. And, while the overall performance was much better than the LEGOZ1E SteamOS I had before, it just never WOWED me. Functionally, it just wasn’t my cup of tea.
Price: At $2K, the value proposition is baffling. For the same money, you could buy a proper gaming laptop with an RTX 5070 Ti and get triple the performance.
Bottom Line: The ROG Flow Z13 is a weird product. It has some neat design elements and strong silicon, but the screen, usability, and price make it hard to recommend.
