The ROG FLOW fits into a category of its own. Highly responsive and so compact it can be used anywhere. Including the airplane for those who travel. A perfect set up for those that would still like to play games on medium settings or so and still have a power house for work. The price is the only thing stopping this set up from being a 5 star. For its price at the moment, that's a large amount for something that can do the same for cheaper is all.

As someone who games on the go and also needs serious performance for creative work, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 with the AMD Ryzen AI Max 395 blew me away. Right out of the box, the design impressed me—it’s sleek, sturdy, and surprisingly lightweight for the power it packs. It’s a tablet-laptop hybrid that doesn’t feel like it compromises in either form. Performance-wise, this thing is an absolute beast. The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip runs buttery smooth even under heavy multitasking. I’ve edited 4K video, played demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur’s Gate 3, and toggled between apps without a single hiccup. The integrated Radeon 8060S GPU actually surprised me—it handles modern titles at high settings better than I expected from a machine this compact. The 2.5K 180Hz Nebula Display is stunning. Colors are rich, motion is fluid, and the touchscreen response is super snappy. Whether I’m gaming, sketching, or watching content, the screen never disappoints. And paired with the detachable keyboard, it truly feels like I’m carrying a top-tier laptop that can transform into a creative tablet in seconds. One thing I really love is the AI performance. I’ve started using a few AI-assisted tools for editing and workflow optimization, and the built-in NPU handles them locally without draining the battery or lagging the system. Battery life is solid considering the specs. I get about 8–10 hours with light use, and closer to 4–5 during intensive sessions. Cooling is handled well too—quiet fans, minimal heat buildup, and it stays comfortable on my lap even when I push it hard. Bottom line: the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 with Ryzen AI Max 395 is the most versatile and powerful device I’ve ever used. Whether you’re gaming, creating, or just need a high-performance daily driver, this machine delivers. It’s pricey, sure, but in my opinion, worth every penny.

Though pricey, it's a unique option for gamers seeking power and portability in a stylish, innovative package.

This thing is a BEAST! The fastest APU (CPU/iGPU) combination on the market, I've been able to throw a vast majority of games, applications, and software tools at it without a hiccup. I was previously running on other laptops and Surface Pro devices with eGPUs, and this has been outpacing those dGPUs - Intel Arc B580, RTX 3080, and it showing results around an RTX 4070 Ti. Really pleased with the overall build, multiple levels of controls to tweak and adjust the tuning, great battery life, amazing display, and very quiet even under load. The only "con" of this device is its price-tag. But this truly is a scenario of you absolutely get what you pay for with quality and performance, one device to rule them all. I no longer need a desktop, laptop, or tablet, this does it all.

This “tablet” is more of a flexible laptop in my opinion. It’s beastly powerful and runs full windows. It runs Steam games that many desktops struggle with. The screen is gorgeous and colors pop. The keyboard is detachable if you want to use like a tablet, but it’s a bit on the heavy side for one hand reading. This machine is top of the line in quality and performance and can’t be recommended enough. There is a reason it’s always sold out. There are 3 downsides I would mention. 1). Beastly power comes at a beastly price. This thing ain’t cheap… 2). Beastly power comes at battery price. This only lasts a couple hours on battery and the charging brick is significant at weight and a mighty 180 watts. 3). Beastly power comes at cooling price. When on performance mode, the fans spin up and this machine will be heard and warm air can be felt from the top vents. Overall, I’d buy this machine again.

This is truly a one of a kind device witg what it offers, it is so portable and really powerful, it plays all the games I want to play at good settings wherever I am. I like being able to detach the keyboard and use it propped up with a controller. It’s the ultimate couch gaming tool. And so much more powerful than a gaming handheld. It’s built really well and looks super dope. I can’t recommend it enough for how good it is. Truly my favorite piece of tech.

I have had this laptop for many months now and it has never disappointed. Its more powerful then my old desktop and its portability is unmatched. Its like what a Microsoft surface always wanted to be. I am not a hard core gamer but everything I do works fantastic. Rocket League for example runs at 180 frames per second full graphic settings at 2k and the laptop doesn't batt an eye.

Excellent machine to cover all sorts of tasks, from gaming to locally hosted LLMs, you can control amount of RAM going to GPU, you can still carry this thing around, display is good and fast, overall - I'm very happy with the purchase

I really wanted to love the 64GB Flow Z13 because on paper it felt like the ultimate “one device to rule them all.” I was coming from a MacBook Pro M1 Pro for productivity and a Nintendo Switch 2 for gaming, and the idea of combining both worlds into a single portable device sounded amazing. The hardware itself is impressive. It’s powerful, compact, and the screen looks great. Performance was never really the issue. But after using it for both work and gaming, I realized the overall experience just didn’t fit what I was hoping for. The biggest surprise was the fan noise. Coming from an M1 Pro MacBook, I’ve gotten used to near silence during normal productivity tasks. On the Flow Z13, the fans were constantly noticeable, even during regular work. Then during gaming, the fans became very loud compared to the quiet and simple experience of gaming on the Switch 2. It made the device feel less relaxing and more like I was managing a high-performance machine all the time. Battery life was also disappointing for a device I wanted to use as a portable all-day hybrid. I found myself worrying about charging far more than I expected. Another major downside for me was Windows 11. I used to genuinely enjoy Windows back in the Windows 10 era, but I personally cannot stand Windows 11. Between the interface changes, extra friction, and overall user experience, it made me miss macOS almost immediately. In the end, I returned it. What I realized is that while the Flow Z13 tries to do everything, there are tradeoffs everywhere. For me, the combination of a MacBook Pro for productivity and a Switch 2 for gaming ended up being a much better overall experience — quieter, simpler, longer battery life, and honestly more enjoyable day to day. If you absolutely need one portable device that can game hard and do workstation-level tasks, this may still be a great fit. But if you’re coming from Apple Silicon and modern handheld gaming devices, be prepared for compromises that specs alone don’t really communicate.

Owning for nearly a year, it's a very capable device. The tablet design when used as laptop is brilliant for thermals, preventing heat on your lap, on your hands/palms, and when it's on a surface that would suffocate most other laptops. The laptop is fast enough to handle most modern games on a reasonable graphical settings. It's also enough to handle 4k video editing, even if rendering is not that fast. You can still do projects and render it to your main computer. The laptop is pretty efficient for what it is especially with its unique chip. You can even use certain program(s) that limit the wattage use for even longer battery life. The 13 inch size makes the device very portable and really easy to carry around. I personally bought a 64gb RAM because the device needs to allocate a certain minimum on VRAM. I needed something with 32gb RAM, so if I had to allocate anything, I would be on less than 32gb. With the 64gb model, you can allocate up to 16gb on vram and still have 48gb ram to spare. My only gripes are: A.) The SSD slot is 2230. Which means you're limited to 2TB. While the device comes with 1TB, it's not really much if you use the device for video editing. If only they used a full sized drive, you could have gone to 4TB. 2.) The LED screen that it comes with is honestly also pretty good for what it is but since I use the device for video and photo editing, color accuracy and screen brightness is very important to me. While the device is already pretty expensive, I still would have inclined to 200-300$ more if there was an option to get a high brightness color accurate OLED screen. But such is not possible. If you can live with the downsides stated, then I think the device is something I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Yes, this device is expensive. Yes, it targets a very specific use case. And yes, you can get better gaming performance for less money if you buy a traditional laptop. That said, if you are looking for a blazing fast device that’s more portable than a laptop, can be used on soft surfaces, has an amazing display without the need for OLED burn in mitigation, and can run pretty much any modern game without a hitch, this could be for you. When using this pc for daily tasks it feels like the fastest device I have ever used. My only knocks would be on the 1TB storage - give us a 2280 slot or ship with 2TB.

I once bought a Nexus 7 tablet. It was the Google branded tablet long before the Pixel line. It was made by Asus. It hit all the best checkmarks at the time; powerful enough, a great price, wonderful screen, it lasted for years. When UMPC's were big, I got an Asus EEE pc. It was also great for what I paid. Unfortunately, Asus hasn't kept up with that legacy, and their product qc has fallen. What does ROG stand for these days; Regrettable Over-priced Garbage? It's hard to find negative reviews of this laptop, and I wonder why. I'm guessing Asus is paying for press over making great, reliable, hardware. Here is proof; most review units aren't honest about the case's dimensions. The measurement specs on most review websites are only of the 'tablet' portion. A proper weight and measurements would be that with the keyboard included, or have both measurements with and without the keyboard. Most websites list the computer at 2.6lbs. If you add in the keyboard, the package is over 3 lbs., but the dimensions of everything goes up by a 1/4inch all around in depth and width. With the power brick, it all totals over 4lbs, closer to 5lbs. A lot of websites are promoting this as a tablet before a laptop, and that doesn't seem right. The keyboard should also work via Bluetooth if they want to treat this like a tablet- they did it with the Asus duos. Just saying, it could have been done. If you also can't (quick) access bios without the keyboard, the keyboard is a part of the whole. The reviewers did get a few things right, though: the chipset is pretty snappy. It does get toasty though. It's nice that the toastiness isn't in the keyboard, but temps gets up there. That was weird for me. It got toasty weather or not if I had 5 tabs open on Chrome or if I had 20 tabs open on chrome. It also got really warm in my bag. Nothing running, just folded up in my bag. Things seemed to even out with the updates for heavy vs regular use, but it still somehow ran warm in my bag. With that being said, I went through 2 units. The first one, I had bad usb-c ports. I tried to plug in my phone to charge in one and a tablet I use as a second screen, into the other port. My tablet kept giving me error messages, and the port I had my phone in kept resetting- with Windows telling me every few minutes "new device plugged in". I started checking drivers before realizing, I should just do an exchange. The replacement had camera issues. I had to use my pin to log into Windows or passwords on websites on almost every time. I knew the camera IR on the second laptop I got was faulty, since the first one didn't have these issues logging in with my face. Why ASUS got rid of the fingerprint scanners from the previous versions of this machine, I don't know. Perhaps I'm wrong for thinking this, but I want the hardware to work every time for a unit I'm paying well over $2000 for. Especially brand new out of the box. I understand the price of everything is going up, but the QC on these guys weren't there. I had more confidence in my Legion Go which was a fraction of the price- I honestly didn't notice a significant enough jump in gaming quality for the price difference. I also understand in order to unlock everything, I'd have to tweak things in the settings but the effort didn't seem worth it. While I hoped th 64gigs of ram would help future-proof what I was getting, I honestly don't feel like this thing as a whole would hold up that long. Asus, you used to be better.

Amazing, very portable and fast. Good for my daily use when I’m working remote or traveling. Decent battery when not plugged. Good for gaming.

I really like how this hybrid is a low power beast. If I want it quiet I can play games like mh wilds or oblivion remastered at 30tdp and still get solid fps. Battery life is great in low power mode when I'm just watching media. Speakers were okay, but you can tweak them in the Dolby audio settings to make them good. Touch is awesome and it's compatible with my surface slim pen 2. This 1 13inch tablet has replaced all my pc needs and it's exactly what I've been looking for.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Yes the price can make you question it. I was on the same boat but it’s a beast of equipment. Runs games excellent. For work it’s more than enough and feels very portable than expected. A bit on a heavy side but for what you have running in the system is worth it. WORTH EVERY DOLLAR.

Just what I wanted in a portable gaming laptop, although this is more of a tablet than notebook which is awesome. Insane integrated GPU, you can allocate more of your ddr5 memory to your vram if you want. Gaming is extremely impressive on this little guy, a little noisy when max power but that’s to be expected.

This laptop/tablet is the top level on portability and performance. There is nothing you can't handle on this device, from office and web browsing to gaming and local AI stuff. Centainly you can get better gaming OR better AI OR better display, etc., but you have to choose; the best "all-in-one" package definitively is this one.

This is like having a moblie console. Can play AAA on high settings with amazing FPS. I hae the 64GB model and allocated 32GB to video. Thermals are great and can game with the tablet on your lap without the heat of a traditional laptop. Highly recommend.
