Great motherboard, thousands of connectors I was trying a z690 extreme glacial then I gave up trying to buy it. I was looking for a z790 extreme but looking at the specs and price, z790 hero is way better comparing benefit-cost, no huge difference between hero and extreme so got the hero and saved this extra money, as well noticed would not fit on my vertical mount because it uses 2 same holes as the motherboard to case. Were able to overclock my 13900KS to 6.4GHz and 6000MHz Corsair Dominator very stable and great performance Great finish, as always, rog being rog, a lot of details on this motherboard, aura sync on this little display is insane! You can customize to show anything you wish

The best quality motherboard I've ever purchased. I didn't have any issues with building a PC with this motherboard, in fact this was the first motherboard to not require re-seating the RAM to get the BIOS to boot up without issue. One criticism to mention is that you will need to research XMP RAM timings or your DDR5 RAM will default to a very low frequency without manually updating the BIOS fields to get your RAM to work properly. I'm using my DDR5 6400mhz RAM stable without problems after doing this.

Asus has made a great motherboard using the Z790 chipset. There are plenty of added features that most will like. There is a display that will show you codes that you can look up if you get any errors. There are Start and Flex keys that allow you to manage the board even when it's not installed in a case. The VRMs have very efficient and large heat sinks to cool them down. The IO shield has integrated argb designs that you can configure through armory crate software. There are plenty of argb plugs for your fans. Multiple case fan plugs. 90 degree USB 3 ports that help with keeping the cable less intrusive. The list goes on and on. The board is very heavy and extremely well built. You can install up to 3 gen 4 Nvme drives on the board and up to two more on the m.2 expansion card. There is one gen 5 nvme lane on the cpu bus, but gen 4 is extremely fast as it is already. I'm loving this board and I highly recommend it if it's in your budget.

Amazing motherboard! Along with all its features & just how beautiful it looks in the case. Paired with i9, gold 1200 psu & 4070 super, no complaints at all! Smooth gameplay.

Everythign on the board is labled. I built my first pc and this is the MB I picked. It comes with the flash drive stick with drivers on it to setup. Really nice RGB too

this is one of best and heaviest boards i ever owned. real neat to have a backplate on a motherboard. pleanty of ports to usr and having option for more m2 slots via hyper card is a plus when needed. had to go extra mile and add ekwb monoblock lol

Excellent motherboard with so many premium accommodations that you don’t need, but you sure will love to have them on your motherboard!

This board does what a motherboard is supposed to do, and does it well. Setup was smooth, performance has been great and everything from BIOS to hardware layout feels well thought out. Build quality is excellent, with sturdy components and plenty of connectivity options. IMPORTANT One piece of advice for ASUS motherboards: turn off Multi-Core Enhancement (MCE). By default, ASUS often enables it, which forces all CPU cores to run at turbo speeds constantly. While that might sound like a free performance boost, it actually leads to: • Higher temperatures • Louder fan noise • More power draw • Potential stability issues if your cooling or power supply aren’t top-notch Disabling MCE allows the CPU to run as Intel/AMD intended, boosting when needed but keeping temps, noise, and power consumption under control. You won’t notice any real-world performance loss, but your system will run cooler, quieter, and more reliably. Overall, this motherboard is a great choice, it’s reliable, feature-packed, and very user-friendly. Just flip off MCE in the BIOS, and you’ll get the best balance of performance and efficiency.

Amazing well built motherboard with great overclocking headroom and plenty of pcie lanes to future proof. Perfect match for my i9-13900k and rtx 4090.

Bought one already so was able to see how it works. It’s hard to explain but it just seems to run so smooth. I had to get a different motherboard as this wasn’t in stock and I can tell a difference. Can’t wait til I get this one in so I can swap it out again. I recommend this motherboard. It looks great and runs so smooth

Superior build quality. Built for overclocking. But super expensive. The bios flashback feature should be standard on all motherboards.

This board went into a new build that started up with no compatibility issues at all, three months into this build and the board has been functioning flawlessly ever since, very happy with my purchase.

This is by far the most impressive motherboard ive ever used. The specs are top tier and the rgb looks beautiful and easy to install

Ive owned this motherboard over a month now and i can give my honest opinion 10/10 hands down. Only thing i would change is to be able to control the RBG on the motherboard its self but honestly not that big of a deal for me the preformance is what matters and has given me 0 issues.

Asus always meets expectations, a very good product and very good performance with the right components.
