Customers are saying
Customers appreciate the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000's extensive range, strong performance, and ease of setup. Many found the improved signal strength and WiFi 6 capabilities beneficial, while some noted the router's large size and high price point as drawbacks. A few users experienced issues with firmware and the number of Ethernet ports. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and range outweighs the negative comments regarding size and cost.

Firmware support is terrible
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For something that is their flagship device, 2-3 firmware updates a year is terrible. The latest firmware drops WiFi devices constantly. Sold it on eBay and moved to Eero mesh

Posted .Dear MysticZealot,
It's unfortunate to hear you're not completely satisfied with your router. Were there any walls/objects between your device and router when testing your speed? If you haven’t done so please make sure you’ve updated your firmware to version 3.0.0.4.384.6436 for improved performance; you can locate the files with the provided link down below*. If the issues persist, with the latest firmware, please send any feedback via ASUSWRT(ASUS router Web UI), ASUS Router App, or send an email to [email protected]. Your case for reference is N200130363.
Thank you for choosing ASUS!

Future Proof Router for Gamers or Experts
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is not for amateurs. It seriously should have that as a warning on the box. The ASUS ROG Rapture AX11000 is a tri-band, 10GB beast that supports up to 802.11.ax yes! 802.11ax. You'd be hard pressed to have any WiFi equipment that needs this yet. Out of the box the ROG Rapture AX11000 is impressive. It's big, heavy, and it makes a statement that "I want everyone who sees this to know I care about WiFi". 8 antennas may seem like a lot, but it's done away with my need to have a MESH system as there's not a part of the house (and probably my neighbors) that doesn't get a penetrating WiFi signal from the ROG Rapture. Setup is easy for the basics but you can get lost in the details as there's every option you could possible want as a user if you're looking to optimize for gaming. There's some good guides on YouTube and I expect there will be more as time goes on. FYI the UI has a heavy gamer aesthetic, which isn't needed and while not a flaw, just makes it look a bit over hyped when you're going through options. I hope they offer a vanilla mode with the next firmware update. I also wish the ASUS ROG Rapture AX11000 had 8 ethernet ports the GT-AC5300 series but that's just me nitpicking and I haven't deducted a star (the ASUS ROG Rapture AX11000 has 4 ethernet ports, offers 2 USB 3.0 ports and a dedicated ethernet port for gaming (you can also run a second 5G network just for gaming). I'll be honest the ASUS ROG Rapture AX11000 is NOT for everyone. If you're reading this review and you're technical and want to have a top-end router, you can't go past this. I would love to test it with another ASUS router to see how the AI.Mesh side of things works (Asus' own mesh standard). Final tip - with so many options to customize your network settings, you could use the ASUS ROG Rapture AX11000 for a week and still not use 1/10th of what it's capable of - so if you're obsessed with tweaks and details, the ASUS ROG Rapture AX11000 is a lot of hard core tech fun as well as being a great router.

WIFI MONSTER!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having trouble with my Asus GT 5300 where the WAN port would turn RED periodically. I decided to upgrade to this and use the GT 5300 as a access point. This was a smart move. These two items meshed together cover my 3500 square foot home perfectly. It was not cheap, but you get what you pay for. They use the extra 5ghz channel as a backhaul. Paired this with Fiber 1000mbps service, and you wont regret it.

So-So Router - Asus Support lacking
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced the Netgear XR500 Nighthawk with this router due to some connection instability that the Nighthawk had before my 2 weeks were up. The ASUS GT-AX11000 is reasonable, although admittedly, my first one did have issues with Stalling/rebooting within a week of uptime and struggling with it for more than a couple of weeks before being recommended to RMA it. Was able to replace it via Best Buy (Which was directed by their RMA process) and tried restoring the saved configuration to it, but apparently, it caused the router to have issues until I did a factory reset and manually reconfigured the router. ASUS Support page is a bit painful to get help and in some cases, confusing. When asked to use the router's feedback with case number, the system actually gave an error that the only way I could submit feedback was NOT to put in the case number. If, at any time you work with ASUS Support and they suggest RMA - Take it back to Best Buy first if it is within a year of purchase and have them warranty replace it (Even if you didn't get the Geek Squad Protection), cause there is a likely chance you will end up being asked to RMA it.
