Fan of asus as well have $ 4k plus custom build pc with most asus parts as well as laptop. This router is a joke , set up in 1 min and then 300mbs speed right next to it while my google wifii 3 years old did 500mbs , then another test 3 rooms away my old single point google wifi more than 100mbs while this junk 40 and 15 up. Wow this is wifi 6 device I'm using note 20 ultra and asus latest g14 laptop. Tried tweaking setting mo help , called asus support guy tweaked more setting s and told me to return haha . Actually vet sad had big hopes and was so excited . Wired network was normal as expected but that works even on 50 bucks router .I had latest firmware and searched billion forums for answer nothing helped so I returned it today.

However it loses connection a few times each hour. Comes back ok with no explanation. This is a new product for ASUS so their tech-support folks really can’t help me other than making sure I have it plugged in. Really!! This started with the firmware update. I can’t go back. I will be returning this router. Had high hopes.

My 2 gaming rigs are Asus parts (MB, GPU, LC), my wifes gaming laptop is Asus, and this is by far the biggest disappointment I have seen from them. First one died in 6 months. This one drops signal, drops the 2 asus routers I have as nodes. Asus def needs to look at resolving all the issues with this router.

I work for spectrum, ive made sure my throughput clear to the modem is 1.12 gbps. No reason why this router cant do more then 300 mbps.
