It worked for 2.2 years then locked up on all internet connections repeatedly. I was hopeful that Asus had fixed their bios and would support 50+ devices. But I was wrong. The new AX11000 did the same thing and all wifi channels were degraded and the onboard memory was using 700MB of the 1GB available. I guess I will keep looking for something better. I really enjoyed the advanced configurations and 9 guest networks available while allowing you to be able to independently set up guest networks to have intranet access which most other routers don't allow you to do anymore. This could be such a solid device.

Asus identified it as a hardware issue and requested to send the unit for hardware repair. They didn't offer, an advance replacement, neither offered a temporary router while the unit is under repair. They believe that costumers have 2-3 routers at home that they can simple use another router, as spare one, while they attempt to repair their malfunctioning unit?? According to them, the repair may take 14 days plus shipping time. On top of that, they want you to cover the shipping cost. This is ridiculous for such expensive router!!! My previous router was better than this one, and was 3 times cheaper. TERRIBLE product and service. NEVER will consider ASUS again.

Currently, we do not offer loaner units, standard repair TAT is 7-10 business days, not including weekends or shipping time. |Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The ASUS - ROG Rapture AX11000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router is the a great device in its own right, if you are upgrading from old hardware. I usually list my Pros and Cons, discuss those but this time around I’m so on the fence about this product, I’ll just talk about my experiences and findings. The AX11000 looks amazing, menacing even. I love the style, the lighting, the packaging and overall feel of the device, although a bit big and heavy. If you’re going to put in on a desk, you’ll need some space. It is well made and feels sturdy, not like it will break with handling it or the antennae. I have read a few reviews were some antennae were broken upon arrival, I did not encounter this as it is well packaged. When installing the antennae, I did not feel like I could completely tighten them as I felt I might strip or break the nut. This however did not cause them to move downward in any way. Let’s get down to the nitty, gritty, performance. Performance is great just as expected. Now that being said, I have a 1GB AT&T Gateway 5268AC. Using the AX11000 in conjunction with the Gateway, there is really not a speed difference. I was obtaining the same speeds from the Gateway and AX11000, using wireless or hardwired. I tried different setting on the AX11000, bridge mode versus, stand alone mode. Downloading speeds from an Xbox One X and two different PCs. Each connected to the Gateway or the AX11000. As said, speeds were nearly identical no matter which device or mode I rand the AX11000 from. The only speed difference I saw was using a hardwired connection on an Xbox and the rate of download for updates on either the console or game. This nearly doubled. Using a wireless connection was the slowest rate of under 100Mbps. Using a wired connection was nearly 200Mbps 3 out of 4 times. If you are updating an older router and are looking for something newer that will increase speeds overall from your current equipment and is dedicated for gaming, I’m sure there are less expensive ways to go. Don’t get me wrong, this is a great looking and performing device, I think in my setup it didn’t really bring anything new to the table. You’ll have to consider that if you’re looking at this device as a possible upgrade to your current network.
