Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000's extensive range, strong performance, and ease of setup. Many found the improved signal strength and WiFi 6 capabilities beneficial, while some noted the router's large size and high price point as drawbacks. A few users experienced issues with firmware and the number of Ethernet ports. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and range outweighs the negative comments regarding size and cost.

Looks amazing. A lot of features. Easy setup guide. Did boost up most WiFi speeds to devices a little bit. Have had some dropped connections and I feel like the 5G out in rural areas is still not that great so most everything is on 2.4ghz signal. Also not as easy to open ports as I was used to from a Windstream modem. Open nat type category in router menu if it actually opened might nat would have been awesome. Unfortunately still moderate nat.

Replaced an Asus AC3200 router with this model. Immediate increase in range and speed noticed. I was able to install an outdoor security camera directly connected to the router on 2.4 band with enough speed for real time 1080p signal, something that wouldn't work with the previous router. This thing is overkill for most with all the fine level adjustments it has, but the performance increase, even with current Wi-Fi 5 clients, is the best I've seen in consumer level routers.

I bought this ASUS - ROG Rapture AX11000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router I cannot reiterate how good this wifi router is. The minute I installed it on my network of about 50 devices I saw a huge improvement all around. From wifi signal, internet speeds and less latency than other wifi routers I had tried. My kids love that they can also game online without any issues of packet drops and high latency and. The wifi 6 capability is great also. Buy it and you will be happy.

I've had the Asus AX11000 for a little over a month now and am extremely pleased. Setup was a breeze, once I was able to get the Asus App installed. Warning: If you have a current router and network access, install the Asus app on your device (phone, tablet, etc) before you disconnect the old device. I live in a very rural area, with very limited cell service, so it took some time to install the app on my device. Once the app was installed, the complete setup for the Asus AX11000 took less than 10 minutes. Additional devices in the house see the router and connect with very limited interaction on your part. Simply enter or share your network passcode with the other devices and you're done. The Tri-band capabilities of this device are exceptional. I have too many devices in the house (tablets, phones, printers, laptops, TV's, gaming consoles, etc) so I distributed them across the three bands. Making sure to use the third band for just the gaming console and I also made sure the TV streaming devices were on the 5.1 channel. With my old router, I constantly had buffering issues, and with this one, none. Range on the AX11000 is super for the 2.1 channel. I have a shop out back of the house, approximately 150 feet away from the router and so far I've had very limited issues with the 2.1 channel reaching out there. Since the shop is a metal building, I'm still trying to figure out a way to get a stronger signal but overall, am very happy with this device's range and capabilities. The price on the AX11000 is on the steep side at $450 from Best Buy, which was frustrating since they had them for $399.99 before the COVID mess hit and Best Buy ran out. Is it worth the $450? Absolutely, if you're looking for a very fast router with incredible range. Other than the cost, stop reading reviews and click on the BUY button for this router. You won't be sorry.

This guy replaced a Orbi Ax6000 and a Orbi Ax6000 Pro, first since a bought the Ax6000 I am being having some connectivity issues with the satellite, after around 2 years I did replace it for the Orbi Ax6000 Pro thinking it will be better in relation with the security of the network but I was wrong, this guy have a real bad connection problems honestly this satellites acts like an extender because always when I was connected to the router always got the normal speed (450 mhz) but you will see the difference when you are next to the satellite always is the half of the speed(If you lucky maybe 200mhz), I know it is very good speed, but the main problem is the connectivity problems having to reboot the router in order to Make it work again, I got a TV downstairs ( 1st floor), my house is about store home, and I always have problems to connect my TV using the wifi wireless connection, the most quality I did got was 1080p unstable signal, honestly I was frustrated, I got 2 of the most expensive meshes in the market and the have a terrible problems, I did start looking for routers until I decided to go with the Asus Rog Ax11000, at the beginning I was nervous duebto the bad reviews the app have in the Android market, honestly I think all those guys that leave a bad review should go back and rectify it because this router is amazing and the app is so far one of the best I ever tried. It beats the Orbi only with one router, in long range downstairs Orbi got a little bit better signal, but for me I don't need connection outside my house (4500 Sqf) ohh and downstairs I got signal fo 8k. Try and see!

This router is BIG and POWERFUL. Easy to configure and was able to use my ASUS RT-AC86U router along with it to create a AiMESH connection to give me even more coverage, even my neighbor across the street can see my Wifi network at full strength. Only issue is No Merlin software to complete the marriage :( Otherwise DONOT regret this purchase at all unlike the Netgears friends have purchased and they wish they had picked up this ROG Rapture AX11000 .

Been an Asus guy for quite awhile now, got tired of all the rumors about netgear having security issues. My last Asus was a Rt-Ax82u which worked great but had to try the latest and greatest. Install was smooth like all the Asus routers I have owned. Love all the features and probably won't ever use them all but nice to have the options. Also it has great WiFi range, most everything important is connected via LAN but I have plenty of other wireless devices as well (33 to be exact). Only a few cons which are really not cons but my 82u had a faster download speed using the built in speed test (920mbps) while this one is only running in the 700mbps range. Not sure why, I have the Qos shut off and all the features I don't need turned off as well. Also I don't really care for the live ping and download speed info running all the time in the back ground. Not sure if there is a way to turn it off but I haven't found it yet. Hopefully someone will chime in. Other than that, if you want I high end router with all the bells and whistles that is very reliable, buy this!!

I am a network engineer and do IT for a living so I feel I am well qualified to speak on this router. Previously, I've owned several of Netgear's flagship Nighthawk routers (R7000, R8000, R8000P) and all have been great, rock solid, no issues. So when I purchased Netgear's current flagship router the RAX200 and it had major issues, I was forced to try a different brand. Enter the Asus GT-AX11000 router. BOTTOM LINE: This Asus router has been rock solid and has handled everything I have asked of it and more with ease. I cannot say enough good things about this device and recommend it for any prosumer out there who needs a high end router to manage dozens of devices in their home. If you have a more modest home network with fewer devices, then this router would definitely be overkill for you and you should look elsewhere. But for those who have demanding home networks with major bandwidth needs, look no further as this router will do everything you need and more. I am not sure there is a better consumer router on the market than this one. A little about my home network: I paired the GT-AX11000 router with a Fios Gigabit connection and have about 75 devices on my home network at any given time. Smart home plugs and switches, multiple Alexas and Google Homes, multiple tablets, laptops, desktops, gaming systems, smartphones, media players, security cameras, multiple Tivos, multiple ethernet switches, NAS, etc. Devices are split evenly between wired and wireless. THE GOOD: + Handles 75+ devices with ease. I've never experienced buffering or slow downs with any of the devices on my home network when used with this router. No device ever get dropped or fall off the network. Rock solid. + Fast and strong wifi signal all throughout my 3 story, 2000 sq ft home. No issue connecting at blazing fast speeds all throughout my house. No dead spots. No need for a mesh system with this router in my home. + You can connect your Android Phone (I have a Samsung S20) over USB to the router and use it as your WAN (internet signal) source in case your normal ISP (Verizon Fios, Comcast, etc) ever goes down. Your cell phone company will detect this as "tethering" and charge you accordingly, but if you have unlimited tethering/data, then that's not really a concern. + Stellar VPN features. VPN into the router while you are away on travel. Or while you are home, put some devices on VPN and keep other devices off VPN. It is all possible with this router. + 2.5 GBE Port. I have this connected to my NAS and it definitely provides a speed boost to the NAS (vs connecting to one of the standard 1Gbps ports). Make srure your NAS supports 2.5GBE connections though if you are purchasing specifically for this feature. + Stable and rock solid. Once I setup this router, I haven't had to reboot it once (going on over a month without a reboot). + Price. Compared to other company's flagship router like the Netgear RAX200, this router is a relative bargain at over 150 less and has more features than the RAX200. More features and better performance for less money. Hard to argue with that. NOT SO GREAT: - Physical design could be better. With all the antennas, it looks like some doomsday or torture device. The Netgear RAX200 has a much nicer design IMO. Also, compared to other routers, this router is probably about 25% bigger/bulkier and it is not wall mountable from what I can tell. None of that really matters to me but I know it may matter to others, so I wanted to mention it here. - Router interface can definitely be a bit overwhelming, especially for those that are not tech savvy. If you are comfortable working with routers, consider yourself fairly tech savvy, and/or are generally familiar with IT networking, navigating the interface should be no issue. It's not terrible and in many ways, I understand why the interface is the way it is because there are so many features and trying to find a logical, easy to navigate to organize and manage it all can be quite challenging. I think Asus did a good job of it but for anyone that is not necessarily comfortable or knowledgeable at IT networking, I can definitely see how the interface could feel quite intimidating. CONCLUSION: This is the most advanced and most powerful router I have ever owned and it has not disappointed. I know other reviews have highlighted some issues but seems like those may be earlier reviews. Seems Asus has really ironed out the initial bugs with the latest firmware updates (which you should definitely apply when you first connect the router). Again, as I do IT for a living, I know what I'm talking about when it comes to routers. Thus, I am highly confident that if you need a router to manage a busy home network with 75+ devices with high bandwidth needs, the Asus GT-AX11000 router is definitely up to the job and more. It will handle the most demanding home networks with ease. Finally, the unit is definitely pricier than most routers, but compared to other flagship routers from other companies like Netgear (and its RAX200), this router is a true bargain and will not disappoint. Top of the line performance at a very reasonable price point. That's not a combination you see very often. If you need a flagship router for a demanding home network, look no further than the Asus GT-AX11000.

Overall, I have loved this router. Honestly, I just love Asus' routers in general. I love the options and tinkerability each one has. For example, I am using the WAN-aggregation feature along with my Netgear 1500V modem, and while not the norm, I will hit around 1200mbps while using the 2.5Gb LAN port to my 2.5Gb port on my DIY PC (Xfinity gig speed plan). Wireless speeds throughout my 5300sqft range from 450mbps-850mbps, depending on location and distance from the router of course. My in-network file transfer speeds about doubled, though still won't blow anyone away (I'm using wireless to LAN, so what can you expect). So, without a doubt, the performance aspects of this router befit it's God-awful $400+ price. A other neat features that I'm using include the built-in VPN (so I can access my server from afar), port forwarding (typical server stuff), 2.5Gb WAN or LAN port (I'm using it as a LAN port), the built-in AI Disk (SMB USB 3.0 for minor file transfers and backups), and the super-cool QOS software. All of this without even slowing the UI down a wink. This thing is seriously powerful! This will definitely be staying with me for a while--at least until Wireless 6E makes a real case for an upgrade. Cheers!

Bought this router to replace the modem/router combo we had through cable company. Our smart devices had such trouble that we needed to purchase a wifi repeater just so they'd stop dropping signal or be able to control them. Immediately upon switching, the ASUS gave no signal issues and I can walk to the end of my driveway (roughly ~80ft) and still have great signal. We swapped to fiber, when it became available, and direct connections are as close to the GBit speed and wifi is obviously less but still quality as you would expect from a wireless signal. Also, being able to have 2, 2.4Ghz and 1, 5Ghz channel allows us to keep our smart devices on one band, and our personal devices on the other two. Also had a parkouring kitten break off one of the antenna's, but there hasn't been a noticeable impact to performance. Only downside is I wish there was a wall mount plate.

Upgraded after my 6 year old Netgear wireless router bit the dust. This is an insanely fast upgrade, and i get full bars no matter where i'm at in the house. Even though this hash mesh, i have no need for it because how strong the signal is. Also glad to know i'm future proof for quite a while with Wi-Fi 6. Super happy with this purchase.

I bought this to replace a ASUS RT-AC3100 that was only one year old. It is being sent back for repairs, however, until then I have no network. So, I bought this monstrosity and was very pleased. This thing rocks. Whole area coverage on my main floor and also on my patio. I am getting great full signals everywhere. I have two other ASUS routers set up in AI Mesh for full house coverage, but this thing pretty much covers it all by itself. When my 3100 returns, I don't know if I will need it at all. The interface has been cleaned up and configuration is a breeze. I only gave it 4 stars because my other router broke after a year. Doesn't speak well for ASUS. If this lasts several years, 5 stars for sure.

    ASUS - ROG Rapture AX11000 Tri-band WiFi 6 Review

The ASUS ROG Rapture AX11000 is a good looking unit. It set up quickly. The phone App gives a lot more features for control then I will ever use. Please with the pass through gigabit ethernet ports. The 5.1 wifi bands provide efficient speed. It's the 2.4 wifi band that I am uncertain of. I am getting slow download speeds on this band. I have tried removing all but one device from this band to determine if it is a device that is slowing it down, but doesn't seem to matter how many or what device is connected to the 2.4 band. However, as long as I ensure that the devices that really matter are on the 5.1 bands then I don't have any issues with it. Just bothers me that if it is capable of gigabit speed then why can't I get that on every band. All in all I am mostly pleased. Range appears to be more than sufficient for my 2200 sq.ft. home.

The look of this router will definitely put a lot of people off. Luckily I have a very tech-centric office space and this fits right in on a bakers rack shelf. My house is 1850 sq ft. The yard and patio area add another 1500 sq ft. I get a solid signal from the front of house all the way to the farthest point in the yard. Never less than 2 bars when testing on a Google Pixel 4 XL. Speed tests at the farthest distances show around 20 Mbps. My Note 10+ connects on WiFi6 and that is able to get speeds of 200 Mbps at the farthest end of the yard. I have seen no drops of any kind. My gaming has been solid with no lag and very low latency. All Nest cameras are staying connected with the highest quality setting for the video feeds. The app lets you access your router from anywhere which is nice to see what is going on when you're not home. It includes TrendMicro IDS protection as well with no additional fees. Asus provides a lot of features in this router. Most of which you'll never use. If you link to tinker, however, you won't be disappointed. Factors to consider: I came from an Eero Pro system. I have 1Gbps service. I work in the Tech industry.

Its been a pretty solid router but not so much on the wifi side specifically the 5g if you use the AC mode & 2.4ghz channels then the 5g bands go in/out and frankly this specific wifi brand has always had this bug in every model they make. The only fix is to use alternative firmware ive spoken to their tech support and they keep saying their techs are working on a fix but every update they've tried doesnt resolve the bug and in some case caused more issues.. I would recommend if you dont use the 2.4ghz channels disable those and just use 5g / AC modes should do ya solid. Or only use the 2.4ghz channels and disable all 5g /AC modes and will also work okie with latest software update anyways..

Before this router I was paying for three different internet plans. I have three buildings on about an acer of land, each building requiring its own internet plan. In comes the Asus AX-11000. I now have one internet plan and one amazing router that is capable of providing internet for my entire property! The range on this thing is incredible. I don't have cell phone service on my property and thanks to this router I am now not only saving hundreds of dollars each month but I can also receive calls anywhere on my property and stream videos on the fly while working on projects in the yard. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Pros Easy set up Amazing App TONS of settings Fast connection for all devices Absolutely mind blowing range! Like seriously! Is this thing safe to keep in my house haha? Cons None. I mean it's pretty big and looks a bit funny but I'm connected. Everywhere. Amazing. Buy it. Enjoy it.
