Customers appreciate the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000's extensive range, strong performance, and ease of setup. Many found the improved signal strength and WiFi 6 capabilities beneficial, while some noted the router's large size and high price point as drawbacks. A few users experienced issues with firmware and the number of Ethernet ports. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and range outweighs the negative comments regarding size and cost.

Wow! Just wow! What a difference from my Apple AirPort Extreme. I get Wi-Fi throughout my house, my backyard, and my front yard. My Apple Airport extreme with a repeater barely covered my house. The Rapture may be overkill, but you definitely get what you pay for. Set up is quick and easy.

It is what everyone says it is, fast, easy to use, wide range for wi-fi, multiple wifi bands. What is overlooked is the security subscription that comes with this, it has blocked quite a bit of malicious external blocks from probes from the internet. Best in class, best on the market for 2019.

The price is on the high side, but its a high end gaming router.

Easy to set up and pretty fast. I love the ability to customize everything and this has never failed me. Even my cat loves it and sits on it. It’s also good for future proofing for Wi-Fi 6

This router is amazing! It has a fast simple setup with bare minimum features enabled. Once you dive into the customization then you're able to customize this router and optimize it for your desires. Didn't realize it had this nice color changing LED feature at the center of it. Doesn't look like an eye sore, but then again this entire router doesn't look traditional. Anywho, Coverage on this router is awesome. I get a stable connection all over the house (single story). We've got several devices connected without a hiccup. Connection is stable and fast.
In terms of router settings, you can log into on any computer connected to it, or it has an app. I'm more familiar with the webpage than the app. It's definitely easy to navigate through the webpage.
All in all I'd highly recommend this router to anyone who is looking for high customization and a robust router.

This has been up and running for just over a month now and it is a BEAST. I've always been partial to Asus routers due to the additional flexibility through their software and this one has even more functionality. It replaced and Asus AC88U that would sporadically drop for about 1-2 minutes about 7-8 times per day. Was going to give Asus one more shot.
This router was super-easy to set up and the stock firmware walks you through everything. It definitely solved our dropping issue and signal has been rock-solid for well over a month now. It is on the 2nd floor of my house (2300 sq. ft.) and we get solid signal all the way to the basement. My son is a gamer and we've been playing with the gaming settings, so that's a nice bonus to geek out with him.

First the look and feel:
Looks weird like a giant spider but most routers look weird. The antennas feel flimsy and cheap. It’s not hard to put on the antennas but you have to be careful not to over tighten them because it feels like you can easily break them off. I like that it has leds in the front that tells me the status of the router.
Set-up:
It’s straight forward and I had it up and running in about 5 minutes. Wish it had Bluetooth like the TP-link Archer which made set up super easy over Bluetooth. Their web GUI was a bit overwhelming at first because there was a lot of information, menus, and settings that I can customize. I’ve never owned an Asus router before and I am more accustomed to Netgear routers. Playing around the menus more and more, I started to get use to where things were and in no time I was able to navigate and get around much quicker.
Performance:
This is where I took off 1 star. I have gigabit internet (1gig upload/ 1 gig download) and I was extremely disappointed with the wifi 6 performance. Testing done with iPhone 12 Pro Max and Alienware Aurora R11, both wifi 6, using Ookly Speedtest App and fast.com on the browser. Default settings, meaning I haven’t changed any of the settings except to create my network name and password. Did my test and was getting 170-250Mbps download and around 500-600 upload. I was fine with the upload but download was slower than expected.
Change my settings (e.g. channel, bandwidth, band, QoS, Parental Controls, etc,) but not all at the same time. To make a long story short, it didn’t help any.
Tried connecting 1 of the LAN ports to my computer and results was much different. Over 900Mbps both upload/download. I understand I probably would never achieve that over wifi but I was expecting to at least see half that. Upload is able to achieve more than half but download was suffering. Spoke with my internet provider with no help and emailed Asus but all they did was ask me to send my settings so their engineers can try it out and after emailing back and forth they asked me to send it in for repairs. Did not send it after my conversations with Asus the router started getting 400+ download. Not sure what happened because I haven’t changed anything. Started averaging 320-400Mbps the following days. Much better but still below the speed I was hoping for.
Conclusion:
It’s expensive, bulky, and not the best looking router out there. I like how customizable it is and if you have other Asus routers, you are able to use them as extenders using the AiMesh feature. I don’t have one so I wasn’t able to try out this feature. This is a gaming router and has a lot of features for gamers. I’m not a gamer but my son is and I haven’t heard him complain about his games lagging since we got this router. Overall I like the router and it’s features. If you want to know more about the features just read the product details and features.

Upgrade from Netgear Nighthawk AC1900. like the idea of wifi6 so I give them a shot. Its not whole lots better from wifi6 on coverage distance and I still get no signal on far parts of the house. Signal much better on weak spots (basement) and devices that close to router. Setup was super easy and much easier than Netgear. App much better and easier to use as well. Recommend to put this router somewhere have air flow because it runs hot. Don't buy it if it full price. Buy it if you understand what wifi6 does.

This is an amazing router which I upgraded to after getting fiber installed at my home. It is strong enough to cover my whole 3600 sf house. It also has ASUS mesh capability in case you need to cover more space that that. It is tri-band (one for phones, one for home entertainment, one for home office) and it is Wifi 6 ( supports the most simultaneous connected devices / future proof). If you have fiber internet, and a normal family-worth of connected devices, don’t cheap out on the router. Remember, your internet is as fast as the slowest point. If you buy this, you can rest assure that your wifi router will not be the slowest point.

Wanted to upgrade from my Asus RT-AC86U to a tri band router to isolate traffic on the different 5 GHz bands. Don't have any AX devices yet but this was about $100 more than 5 year old GT/RT-5300 models. Signal strength for my wifi devices is identical to the 86U. Aside from AX settings, the 2.4 GHz is the same. There are two 5 GHz bands but they're not identical - the first one has the lower channels only, the second has the higher channels only. You can't overlap and interfere with your own wifi but it wasn't explained. Each of the bands can have up to 3 guest networks which have some of their own settings- SSID, key, isolation, MAC filter, timed access. If using the Asus AI Mesh with another compatible Asus router, the guest networks are NOT included and will only work from the router and not mesh nodes. The include QOS is really good and Asus added "work from home" and "learn from home" options to make the configuration easy. Unlike my coworkers, I never have garbled sound and video even when transferring files (other wifi and wired devices) and using the full bandwidth of my internet connection. The AiProtection is nice and will automatically block traffic to/from some malicious sites. The admin interface is familiar but changed a bit from the normal Asus devices due to this being marketed to gamers. The physical size of the device is large and conspicuous, Asus gives it a colored top light that you can configure to show it off if you're into that. This device is probably overkill for most unless you have 1 Gbps internet, dozens of devices in use simultaneously, and play a lot of games it optimizes.

I had bought the orbi rbr850 router and after the first reboot it stopped working so I replaced it after hrs of tech support. Then Asked them for a refund because the second one did the same thing. The wifi would send a super strong signal, which I loved, but after a reboot the signal would shot and disappear! So disappointed! I've had this one for over a month, two weeks longer than both orbi systems together! I have it reboot everyday at 7am and still works like a champ! I love in a 1500 sqft and the signal reaches every part of the house. Obviously the close the better. I am running 1g internet from my isp.

Had an Asus 5300 prior to this, so didn't know if I'd really realize that much of a difference until AX compatible devices come out. However, in the meantime with my old devices, I'm actually getting significantly higher speeds and at longer ranges. Not sure if it's just because my other router was 3 years old, or if it's the technology itself, but definitely noticed a speed boost on wireless (taking better advantage of my 1 Gig Fiber Connection). So far so good.

The speeds and reliability of this router is great but the range isn’t the best, when I was near the router I was able to pull around 700mbps over Wi-Fi using the 6ghz network but once I left that room and went to the next one almost all the networks were unusable. My tv and google smart devices wouldn’t connect to it at all because it kept thinking the network was open but it required a password.

This thing is amazing! Its quite pricey but very feature packed. Broadcast distance is great and speeds are as expected. I love the option of Smart Connect where you can let the router decide what frequency to put your device on automatically without have to change to a different SSID. Its got 2 separate 5GHz networks or you can combine them into a single 5GHz channel if you wish. The VPN options are what drew me into choosing this router. You can assign individual devices to use or not use the VPN. You can also have up to 4 different VPN profiles active at once and up to 64 different devices you can specify to use the VPN or not.

After countless firmware issues with the RX8000, restricting ability to prioritize devices and such; as well as wireless broadcasting issues, I chose this product to handle or networking requirements. Both the wife and I work through secure VPN networks, and we have three kids whom all game at the same time. This product has accommodated our needs without obstructing anyone’s abilities to work or game efficiently.
Setup was rather easy; however, there are multiple features that most likely go unused due to our level of technical expertise. We are not IT people.
