Customers appreciate the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000's extensive range, strong performance, and ease of setup. Many found the improved signal strength and WiFi 6 capabilities beneficial, while some noted the router's large size and high price point as drawbacks. A few users experienced issues with firmware and the number of Ethernet ports. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and range outweighs the negative comments regarding size and cost.

I've got two of these running in AiMesh covering the same space as the Orbi AC3000 3 pack was at around 4000 sq/ft. Speeds are faster and system is more reliable. I like having control of all 3 bands on these with the ethernet backlink setup. No slow down of different types of traffic. No bog down of system with multiple streaming devices running. Pricey, yes. Worth it for me currently as the Orbi's were a nightmare to keep running without issues.

This is a great router. Has lots of features to enable better control of your devices. I have lots of wifi devices around the house and having multiple SSIDs is great to keep wifi light bulbs, appliances, cameras, and others separated. I would buy again. Coverage is pretty good, but I did add 2 Unifi wired access points. 1 for the front yard and my wifi light bulbs and one for the lower level and backyard.

This thing is an absolute beast. We moved into a 3 level 3400 square foot house and this thing reaches all corners of the house with 5 bar signal. We were told by the technician installing our fiber optic that the router could cover 5k square feet without needing any mesh systems or wifi extender. The only knock I have on this thing is that the app doesnt display a speed test or real-time max bandwidth capability.

At the time of writing this review I’ve had the AX11000 for almost 2.5 years. For a 2500sqft house the signal and speed has been great. I have Gigabit internet and the speeds stay at near full speed until i get in the garage then drops a little. The router has no issue handling my 20+ devices.

A year later, it's been solid. Connect is good, speed is great, and the router doesn't flake out on me.
I do think I have it scheduled to reboot itself weekly around 3AM, which is a great feature, and ensures it gives no trouble in the meantime. Ironically it covered better than the Orbi I had, and the throughput with a Wifi6 device is incredibly fast.
Also like the QoS dedicated port for my gaming box.

As an IT person, I tend to look for the best of the best when it comes to my home network. This is definitely a no compromise home wifi router and covers the entirety of my single story 2400 square foot home without issues. I have 30+ wireless devices connected to this router. The interface is can be pretty complex but it is still very intuitive.

Upgraded from a netgear nighthawk. Mainly purchased this one for the wifi6 capability. Use this as a main hub for our mesh network. The app is very user friendly. Router is fantastic, great signal strength and very easy to setup. It is a little spendy, but worth it for a smart house.

Works like a Champ! Aimesh this up with an Asus AC-3100. My home is covered in all 4 corners and some with high speed internet to Multi connected devices with no hiccups, lagging or buffering. Multiplayer gaming on 3 computers a laptop watch videos and 3 fire sticks running at the same time. No problem. Neg. Cost an arm and a leg up front.

I’ve had this model for 1.5 years now. It’s been stable and reaches expected speeds. I’ve been happy with it although it has a lot more than what I need. It can get complicated if you want to optimize settings and there are many settings for gamers, which I am not. But I do have a lot of devices connected and it handles them well. When it came out there were limited WIFi 6 units on the market, but now there are plenty at lower prices with basic features. One thing to note, pay attention to the privacy policy you must agree to when activating the advertised features like QoS or AirProtection. These features are provided by a third-party, not ASUS. This is not unique to this router but most ASUS routers. Do you feel comfortable with a third party monitoring your internet traffic? I have these features turned off. The router still provides good native security on its own. Invest in your own reputable antivirus software like Bitdefender or Norton and always use a VPN like ExpressVPN.

I had a D link AC3200 and it was awesome I could have 8 boys all gaming on their Xbox’s, My daughter would be in her room streaming and I would be in the living room streaming all of us at the same time with no lag. We did this for several years period early in 2019 I started noticing that we couldn’t connect are there when we would get buffering and it didn’t matter if I had no boys on the Xbox in the house and just me streaming in the living room. I made sure dealing for us updated went through with spectrum trying to fix things they finally came out. The guy told me it was my modem was bad. I bought a new modem and it still happened. They came out again they said my router was dead still had power but it wasn’t sending out signal properly. I bought this router. And I noticed it does the same thing sometimes not as often but sometimesSo my son took my D-Link back to San Angelo where he is stationed and it’s been working great for him on grande com. Both this router and the D-Link AC 3200 are exceptional routers but if you’re having problems look towards your Internet suppliers Oh the Dlink got better range

Simply awesome... expensive, but worth it. Set up was a breeze, especially if you are replacing an ASUS with this one (which I was). No lag across all channels even with over 20 devices connected via WiFi and 4 more via LAN. Best app I've used for router too (though it's been a few years since I had a non-ASUS router)

it works, but it looks like asus wants me to put their router in every room. The signal is not all that. I have 1600 sq feet house and i barely get 3 out of 5 bars on far sides of inside of the house. Speed drops pretty bad even with wifi6 phone. 10 feet gives me all the speed i pay for to comcast, laptop about 50 feet gets 86mbps from 5ghz band. Which is about 60% of top speed. Wfast or gamers private network is extra 12buk a month, i though for some reason it was included with this router.
Still get occasional lag spikes on cod ww2 and mw on xbox 1 x. Asus finally rolled out a firmware update yesterday 8/6/20. Hope things will get better.
Asus did a really good job with parental internet block that you can pause the internet after a certain time for kids. That was probably my biggest selling point for me. Maybe archer or nighthawk is better, however i highly doubt it.
4 stars is because of flimsy antennas what feel cheaply made. And occasional lag spikes. Huge props for a lot of tweaking options on router.asus.com
My second choice would be nighthawk 11000
