Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000's extensive range, strong performance, and ease of setup. Many found the improved signal strength and WiFi 6 capabilities beneficial, while some noted the router's large size and high price point as drawbacks. A few users experienced issues with firmware and the number of Ethernet ports. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and range outweighs the negative comments regarding size and cost.

Had a nighthawk and this thing rocked its world in speed and power. I have 20 wireless devices connected and 4 of those were streaming at same time no lag at all. Only complaint directs could have been better but the app helps.

Although I had a few troubles getting this router to initially connect to the internet, after a pushbutton reset It connected right up and has been exceptional for speed and ease of use. Even the phone app works well.

One of the best routers I've purchased. I originally had a Netgear Nighthawk R8500 that lasted me almost 7 years with no problems. I tried to stay with Netgear Nighthawk line and purchased the RAX120. For some reason, the firmware was extremely buggy and the performance was hit or miss. Kept dropping 5Ghz associated devices. Quality of Netgear has definitely gone down (sorry Netgear fans). Bought the ROG GT-AX11000 and haven't had any problems since. Some of the features are overkill for gaming, but this is an excellent router and worth the money.

I replaced a 6 yr old Netgear R8000 router that was a great for me, but kept needing be be power cycled the past few months. Did a lot of research on what I felt I needed for my home and devices and this ASUS seemed capable. Definitely the most expensive router ever for me, but this thing is a beast! We have 5 ax capable phones, 3 gaming consoles, tablets, laptops, smart TV’s and numerous smart home devices, and this router handles it without breaking a sweat! The ASUS app is much better than my old Netgear. Setup was super simple, and the AiProtection is a welcome extra layer of security. Coverage seems a little better the my old Netgear, and speed is a noticeable jump, especially with multiple devices connected. Also set up network storage and TimeMachine backup with the built in USB ports, and was pretty straight forward. Haven’t found any negatives about this router yet, bravo ASUS!

This is the second one I purchased. Great speed and range. Handles many devices at once. I wish the RGB worked in Mesh mode, but it doesn't. I own two and only the one in Router mode can be the color I choose, the Mesh mode one is red led only.

I was able to replace the stock Spectrum router in about 5 minutes, thanks to the well-designed phone app. Performance-wise, this router is heads and shoulders above what we used to have... excellent speed and range. I highly recommend this router, not just for gamers!

"Great Purchase", or so you're future self would say if you ended up getting this router, if you haven't it already. For what you pay here, you are getting you're money's worth, although it's up to debate if this is overkill even for gamers. What I mean by this, is that even lowever cost Asus offerings offer up what this router has, including built in wi-fi 6 (ax), dual band, etc. WTFast is cool however please note that it is subscription based, *except* for a 30 day trial followed by the ability to boost 1 machine, with a cap on how much bandwidth you can have uhh, boosted? I had to ding a star for this practice of promised features that companies seem to forget to mention are not full fledged free forever. Okay, about the built in QoS tuned for gaming, this is where the router shines, gaming bliss will be yours to have with this router, make no mistake. The GameFirst software you have to download manually, but from what I can see it comes free for owners of certain RoG motherboard meowdels (sorry my cats close to me). Online you can find ways to get Entware on this router, so you can use Transmission for your torrent needs (this thing handles that as well, too). It does come with it's own download manager, I have not tried it but from what I have seen on videos, you will want something more robust. For those with Kiddos, between the Netgear Nighthawk RAS200 and this, this is where the meat and the potatoes start to separate. and where this router starts pulling ahead. The aforementioned RAS200, has Circle parental controls built in, but at an extra price, to me that is a no-no. The AX11000 however, has all of scheduling, restriction of websites, as well as built in malicious site protection, at no cost. Bravo Asus. If you just want looks and a router that just works, very Apple-Esque in it's own right, then you want the RAS200. I just felt like I was using one of those restricted-I-know-whats-best-for-you-better-than-you-do fruit company products, and that didn't sit well for me. Just personal preference though. I almost added back the fifth star for the included RGB but then I remembered cheaper asus routers also have that built-in, so decided against it. Plus that'd be kind of silly! Here at home I have gigabit internet, and this router does a great job of distributing bandwidth among all my devices, which are not all wifi 6 as of this moment, including some cameras, smart hubs, smart ac and things of that nature. TLDR: You don't want to spend as much on a router, for similar options, that's fine. You want the iRouter for it's looks, don't care much about tinkering, that's fine. You want this router just because it looks like a giant spider out of war of the worlds, no one is judging, that's fine also.

Great router that with new WiFi6 App is very informative. Using other ASUS Aimesh routers you can combine multiple routers to create a single larger WiFi network. Very easy to setup. Had everything set up within 15 minutes using the app. RGB lighting on top shows status of the network

I have a wifi 6 phone and pretty soon everything will be updated to it. Decided to go with this to just get the upgrade out of the way. Instantly see better results in areas where I would consider the coverage sub par. Might be expensive but the range is undeniable.

This router is very fast, and has great range. One complaint would be compatibility with some devices. I spent a couple hours trying to get cameras to connect. Also older Intel wireless adapters need to be updated to work at all.

This router is everything a tech person would want. Even with the same mbps I saw greater speeds to my devices. The range also seemed to increase. If you are not tech savvy adjusting some of the most advanced features may seem daunting.

Must have router if you have a lot of devices or need low latency packages for gaming. It has a lot of options to customize your network the way you want it. QoS works great, most routers have this option but they aren't powerful enough to handle all that without impacting the internet performance. That's not a problem here, this router's CPU can handle all that. You can add a VPN and reroute your internet traffic. I haven't had any connection issues with it but I set it up to reboot twice a week just in case. It has few options for QoS and packages prioritization, you can choose between Media, Gaming, among others. The wifi range is great. If you need to have a big wifi coverage this router would serve you well. It has been working flawlessly for a few months now.

This is hands down the best wireless router on the market. It is very easy to set up and the GUI makes it super easy to make any changes. This router has 802.11AX (wifi 6) for blazing fast wireless networking. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Coming from an older AC router with DDWRT that needed almost daily reboots, I figured it was time to upgrade. I have a household with about 50 devices including 4 PCs, tablets, phones, consoles, smart TVs, etc. This router has not hung or required a single reboot since I bought it. Reach is good to all corners of the house. A definite improvement over my old router. I'm also a dad who likes to lock his kids down at night so they can't stay up late. This router has great parental controls that allow me to control each device individually. If I want my son's PC to go offline at 10PM but I want to let him have his phone until 10:30, no problem. The two 5GHz radios and the one 2.4GHz radios allow me to load balance the wifi effectively. Everyone is getting top speeds and could not be happier. Highly recommend this router.

I bought this as my old ASUS router was having range issues in my house. This thing is a monster. Handles several devices connected at once, and I have coverage all through my 2 story home. It is expensive, but it did exactly what I needed.
