Added a separate LAN adapter card, so total price was higher than desired. Asus should issue a rebate for this issue.

No power up/post/boot. and the LED lights that are supposed to help troubleshoot did not work. I could be a one-off issue, but I've build dozens of systems and have had multiple failures with Asus. I've yet to have an issue with Gigabyte, MSI, ASRock and even Biostar. Over and above that, I didn't really like the board layout. No USB C front panel connector. The tow heatsinks for the M2 SSD drives are secured by two screws, which are not removeable, which means its pretty hard to lose them but also they are hard to install as you cant line up the screws visually -- you have to feel your way around. Documentation is sparse and sometimes not very clear. A first-time builder is likely to have to search for answers on install. While it has a few nice features -- 14-Phase Power Delivery, 2.5 GbE LAN, and Premium Audio, it still seems sparse and a bit expensive for a B550 board.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I certainly understand your frustration. Please elaborate on the symptoms your system is currently exhibiting and the troubleshooting steps you've gone over to isolate that this is a motherboard issue. In the meantime, try taking the motherboard out of the case and set it on an insulated surface. Install JUST the CPU/cooler, and 1 stick of memory in the first slot. Plug in the 2 PSU cables to the MB. Connect the motherboard, and connect the monitor to the integrated video if it has it. Turn on the PSU. Momentarily short the 2 pins that the case's power button wires would connect to for starting. (You can also drag the case close enough to use the button's wires if you wish).
