love this laptop. previously purchased an HP with an i5 and it couldnt keep up with the games i plated. now i have zero lag in game and great graphics. would highly recommend the ASUS ROG Strix to anyone looking for an affordable gaming platform

I love this thing. First things first, the aesthetic is not for everybody. It's loud, boisterous, and crazy RGB would drive some folks nuts. I fully understand that. If I was in the market for a laptop that needed to be portable and professional and such then this is not the one. I would have purchased the ROG Flow, that was second place. For what I'm looking for, this machine has all of it for an insanely low price. I'm not running graphics heavy games on it, usually retro emulators (Keep it retro!). I got this for college and music production primarily, and so far it does everything excellent. I'm very happy with this purchase so far, and while I might still buy the ROG Flow, this is the primary machine for me right now.

Great speed and ease of use for gaming. ASUS has always been a reliable brand when it comes to laptops for playing games and the ROG Strix does not disappoint.

Wife and I purchased this mainly for streaming shows on Netflix and HULU. We replaced our five year old laptop and so maybe it wouldn't be that hard to impress us, but runs very fast compared to what we used to have. We both enjoy the RGB lights and the clarity of the screen. The fans are quit and runs cool. The only complaint we have is the five hour battery, but maybe that is normal for a gaming laptop.

As a guy who's been streaming on and off for a long time, one of my biggest down's when it comes to streaming is seeing how much streaming can take a toll on your gaming PC performance. Doesn't matter if you have a budget PC or a high end PC like I have (Ryzen 3950X/RTX 3080). Streaming can literally take away lots of FPS depending on what games you play. Popular games such as MW Warzone, Cold War, Battlefield, etc. Can even cause several input lag, and potential crashes that can affect your stream. It even came to the point where regular OBS uses 20-30% of my RTX 3080! WHAT?!?! I can't even play some of my games while streaming! Yea it's time to upgrade my setup! I was bothered by this for a long time, and decided to go for a dual PC setup. Since I don't want a 2nd desktop due to the GPU shortages atm and produces lots of heat, i've decided to go for a gaming laptop and overall, very happy that i've purchased the ROG G15. It may be a overkill to spend $1K on this laptop just for using it as a streaming PC, but jeebus..... it's crazy how Streamlabs OBS, Logitech webcam, and ELGato can take so much resources. Already all programs are using 40-70% of my CPU and my GPU! I guess I made the right call on buying this instead of a cheaper Laptop that probably can't even handle the streaming programs/tasks. Anyways.... overall this laptop is amazing. Well size for my desk, doesn't get too SUPER hot (sometimes it does), speakers are great, love the sleek design, love the RGB it includes, etc. One of my biggest downfalsl is that I can't raise the contrast inside Nvidia control panel settings. The colors look... well... dull imo. It doesn't look the prettiest imo. I guess that's the sacrifice to make it for being able to be a 144hz screen. As for gaming.. lol... I haven't even downloaded a single game yet. I can't say anything about it because well... I already have a high end PC for gaming XD. Anyways... Here's my little pros and cons... Pros: -Great battery life -Nice design -Keyboard feels satifying -Nice RGB -Feels pretty light for me -Great backup PC especially as a streaming PC Cons: -sometimes touchpad can be unresponsive.. not sure if it's the touchpads itself or the laggy websites -Can get a little hot just for streaming -specs are great yet, if you have the extra cash, I rather spend it on the ROG G14 White Laptop for the beefy specs -As for streaming, sometimes the CPU can still reach 100% usage which causes my stream to lag. But it doesn't happen often.. very rarely actually. Overall, as a streamer, I highly recommend this laptop for dual PC setups. Even though it may sound like a overkill to spend $1K on this Laptop just for streaming, remember that all streaming programs such as Streamlabs OBS, Logitech, and Elgato can REALLY take a lot of resources. And I feel this laptop is one of the best for the tasks!

Wished it had more than 8gigs of memory but it’s a great system, also no webcam!!!! It was a great deal so I took it. Great system, the pink is????????? Maybe I’ll give my daughter at a later date

My son says that it handles all of his games very well. The battery runs out pretty quickly but that is to be expected by gaming computers.

Excellent speed and processing. Light and easy to carry. Powerful for both work and gaming! Very much recommended for its price range.

O my this is a great laptop so fast! Plus it’s beautiful the led lights underneath it lights up even if your laptop is not plugged in and the colors are beautiful. Can’t go wrong with purchasing this laptop especially if you like playing games Call of duty and sims absolutely load faster than on my Xbox or PlayStation. Get it you will not regret.

I really like this laptop, it looks really cool, I have had it a couple of weeks and within one week I added another 8gb of ram into it, some reviews on other sites have shown this laptop of having a 10 key on the mousepad and it does not have that, that is the only thing I was sad about not seeing, the RGB keyboard and lights around the laptop are really cool and have a few different settings built in but are no customizable, all in all it is a nice machine, if you're a heavy gamer I would suggest adding another 8gb of ram into it which is very simple to do, if you're just using this for everyday web browsing and stuff the 8gb of ram is just fine.

Great laptop just overheat a bit I would recommend getting a laptop color or not to lay on a easily hot surface.

I got a deal of a lifetime on a open box. This was in great shape. works with oculus 2 vr. Nice all around laptop. Run a bit hot, but the fans seem to blow out all the heat, also updating the bios and changing some settings, cooled it down quite a bit. quite please with the purchase and would buy again.

Just picked this laptop up. So far I'm pretty impressed with the build. I do wish it came with more RAM. But the fact it's upgradeable is not really a deal breaker. For it's size the laptop is pretty light compared to other laptops of it's size. I may have to update my review after I spend more time with the laptop.

So far, I've really enjoyed this as my first gaming laptop. Doesn't run too hot, I can use it for gaming and for regular laptop work. Can get laggy when I play some of my most complicated games when not plugged in, but other than that it works great. Most of the games that I play are singleplayer, open world games, but it seems like it would be pretty easy to play multiplayer games on it too.

This laptop looks great with pink neon lights, great for fortnite and Sims 4 gameplay! Get the warranty just in case though. I only wish it had 16 gb of ram.
