gets hot and lags out when its running hot. So hot that leaving my fingers near the vents is painful. If I blast my AC it runs good, worried about longevity but the value was great, was 1k cheaper than the nvidia equivalent but doesnt do ray tracing. get a cooler asap. Battery doesnt last long. burned up a 500watt inverter, this thing pulls alot of power.

Very satisfied with it. Preforms really nice, make sure to look up some YouTube videos on it. There is some settings that gets you more performance. The only thing I wish was the screen was 1440p, but it's not to noticable on a 15", plus the 300hrz makes up for it.

my dad bought the G15 this weekend but i have used it for playing red dead redemption 2 for about 30 hours since then. it is awesome for gaming. i dont get any more places where the frame hangs or hiccups. it is so fast and beautiful. the game is running easy over 100fps. i have not done multiplayer yet because i am still on single player campaign. the screen is bright now so i dont have to close all the blinds to see good. not too heavy and easy to haul over to my friends house too. i am using a razer mouse and it did not make me put in all the razer software that i dont like. you can turn the keyboard brightness down at night too so you can still see the keys and the screen at the same time. i will update the review when i get done with redr2 and get to play some more games.

Great laptop especially once you upgrade the SSD and ram. Very quick with the R9. Does not have a MUX but still runs very smooth. The GPU is great for anything. High graphics with high FPS on every game I've played.

This is the best gaming laptop I ever had or tried. It is powerful and there's literally nothing you can't run with this powerful laptop. Embrace the red team! All games @ ultra quality are always around 75fps+

I use this laptop for working at home during the day and then enjoy games at night! I'm very impressed and happy with this purchase. I reviewed its specs and compared it with others. This one won! I definitely recommend.

**Before you read the rest please understand this review is not purely for gaming, but rather for a work & play scenario. First of all, the performance spec looks great and the reaction time is excellent on this machine. There is however, some area that have ultimately break the deal. -It doesn't have a webcam. In today's world, an online meeting or two is a must, this greatly inconvenient things. -It doesn't have a number keypad, while it is not a big deal, but lacking this feature inconveniences work performance. Other minor things that killed me on the inside: -The start up sound, it is so not necessary. -The RGB color changing. Both of these can be turned off/adjusted so no point taken off.

Honestly it’s a great machine, it’s capable of all heavy computer work loads, but more importantly it games, and games great! I’m constantly getting over 200 FPS with Ray tracing on, the storage is a bit lackluster but we’ll worth the money for the performance you get!

Very quick and snappy laptop. Delighted with the purchase. Only issue is the Armory Crate Aura Sync keeps saying this device is not recognized, aside from this issue great laptop. if this bloatware could actually do its job, then 5/5 stars.

Had to purchase 3 times to end with a troublefree unit. First 2 had random starts. My last unit works flawlessly and it is a beasts!. Also, it came with the faster rams, unlike the first 2 units. Get it while you can. I expect the price will increase due to the supply.

The computer runs well when it is actually working. The battery life won’t last long if it isn’t plugged in. The refresh rate is good, and handles graphics well. But the motherboard and screen have issues. I’m giving this a 1 star, because today, I had to yet again… send in my laptop to get repaired. The first time I started having issues was 35 days after purchase. The computer would not turn on, and even when it was plugged in, it did not show the charging light. After taking it to Best Buy, they sent it in to the manufacturer and they said it was an issue with the motherboard. They replaced/repaired the motherboard and sent it back. 7 months later it did the same thing, but after a couple days, it ended up turning on again. And today, less than a year and a half after purchasing this new laptop, I took it to best buy and they had to send it in again to the manufacturer for the same problem. It seems absurd that I had to pay approx $450 for the extended warranty for this brand new “high end“ laptop, just too keep it working, after already spending a Premium price for the original purchase. I am worried how long it will last after my warranty expires. If you are going to make this purchase.. it is a must to purchase the extended warranty, and expect that the laptop will only last until the extended warranty ends, and you can no longer keep sending it in to get repaired.

Great laptop that crushes most laptops and desktops. Bought during the $1299 sale, so absolutely unmatched build quality and performance at that price alone. Now that I own it, I know I would be happy paying the total price anyways.

The one I receive had an issue with the dedicated GPU. It worked once about 30 minutes, after that a BSOD and it never switch over to the dedicated GPU. I tried the WDM driver, Official Asus driver, and the unofficial AMD driver, fully restored Windows and tried all the drivers, and compiled the latest GNU/Linux kernel with no luck. I ended up returning it, but I would have exchanged mine if they were still in stock. I highly recommend doing a benchmark test if you purchase this laptop and make sure the dedicated GPU is working within 14 days. Other then that it's a solid laptop all around, great speakers, proc etc. I recommend upgrading the RAM.

Upgraded the RAM and added 1TB of storage and it still is cheaper than any other laptop with RTX 3070. This laptop price and performance ratio is perfect. Fast and cheap. My CPU's temp during gaming is around 80*C which is ok. The cooling system works flawlessly.

Top all-AMD CPU and GPU specs, really powerful can run 3A games. Very good screen with 300Hz refresh rate. Although a lot if times games can not run at that fps, it's still better than regular 165Hz screens. I really like it.

First things first, change the ram and use an external monitor connected to the usb c port in order to achieve maximum performance as many have pointed out. I’m extremely satisfied with this laptop and can no doubt play anything I throw at it on a 2k monitor running at a steady fps depending on what game I’m playing of course. I sue this laptop as a daily pc and it has be phenomenal, the price is there, the performance is at par with a 3080 if you change what I suggested in the beginning of my review !

This laptop might be best laptop for anyone who want gaming machine that can rival 3070 or 3080 if you change ram and connect to external monitor for 3080 performance. This laptop also has great battery life. The only problem I had this with this laptop is random restart. I reinstall drivers and it fixed my issue for now.

When first purchased had a random restarting issue, sent to Asus support, returned with no problem found, sent it out again, they replaced the motherboard. The issue was worsened due to random overheating (from running YouTube and steam random). Sent it out again, it was mostly corrected... It still overheats but only when there are too many particles... maybe? I'm not 100% sure but I'm sending out again. I have everything plugged in When it works though, it's amazing, just beware of overheating and get ready to use the ASUS Warranty

People have raised LM issues, temp issues, design flaws and more. But, are there any laptops without flaws? Admittedly, I have made some major tweaks on this laptop since I've had this machine. When all things are done, there really is no better piece than this laptop for the price. It runs smooth, specs are off the chart for the price point, and for people like me who uses external monitors for the most part, this laptop is perfect. Everyone has different needs. If you are looking to get a laptop that will not take 3+ months to get to your hands, best value, relatively light and long battery life for commuting, and doesn't hold anything against AMD too much, choose this one! People compare LP5Pro or that ballpark, and yes those are quite nice, but after having this for over 3 months, I'd say this is the right one for me.
