Don't walk, RUN away from this company!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop to replace a Omen 15 which worked fine. I soon realized that this was a huge mistake. Less than 2 weeks after getting it I started getting hard crashes (where the system completely reboots) while gaming. I thought maybe the ram is the issue, so I replaced them with better quality SODIMM's. I then noticed that you can NOT enable the DOCP on any ram besides the ones that come in the laptop. I figured I would try it out to see if my issue was resolved. It was not. I checked to ensure all drivers were up to date and that all OS updates were installed. That also didn't help. I replaced the ram with a different kit thinking maybe I got a bad kit. No. After some deep diving into some teardown videos it seemed as if asus didn't do their due diligence while using liquid metal for cooling. Everytime my system would get warm it would crash. This is the 3rd asus device I bought that was defective. Poor customer service, bad quality control and a lack of BIOS features on what is supposed to be a flagship AMD system. Pathetic would be to nice. Incompetence is where asus is and I for one will not be buying any more asus products.

Great gaming laptop at just the right price point.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is a gamer's dream. The gpu performance is excellent for the price point, and competes with the nearly double priced gtx 3080 gpu. The only downside to this product is the keyboard. It isn't bad, but it has low profile membrane keys that just feel meh after coming from my desktop mechanical keyboard.

Good laptop with a plethora of driver issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All was good at the purchase. Exactly after 2 months I had the PC booting into BIOS all the time. Took it to best buy to geek squad to find that os have been wiped out for some reason. Lost all my data but best buy helped reinstall OS for me. Since then plethora of problems such as mic driver not working Bluetooth driver not working and so on....

Great laptop value for the money
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really great laptop except it seems to have lag issues. I get into graphics intense situations and it pixelates. This might be my internet tho as I have ran graphics bench marking software and it functions great. The graphics card is good and when I contacted ASUS on the problem they where quick and helpful. I didn't have the problems others have. Though I do know that you probably can have problems with them as I've seen many reviews that have stated such.

Radeon boy for life now
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There seems to have been a bad early batch. I got mine last week and the GPU and CPU are rock solid stable, with temps barely touching 90c at the most intense gaming sessions. It cools quickly and dynamically adjust performance based on load. The 300hz 1080p screen is the most vivid IPS I have used to date. Not saying it is the best, but I am impressed with the colors and the smoothness in games. If I need or want to play with a higher resolution, I will just simply plug it into a monitor with more pixels. But I actually quite like 1080p on a 15" screen. The pixel density is sharper than most other monitors. It would have been nice to have the MUX switch though, but It's not a enough to dock a star considering the price. The keyboard is a joy to type on, and this is coming from someone who has exclusively used mechanical keyboards for the last 10 years. I make very little typing mistakes and my hands don't get tired. Trackpad is smooth and does not seem to track when you are resting your wrist on it. I'm left handed and tend to rest my right hand on the trackpad for WASD. The lighting and pretty and adjustable. You have a variety of colors and patterns, as well as brightness. Build quality is tight with a combination of hard, soft plastics and an aluminum shell for the monitor flap. The AMD logo is subtle but 1st class looking. The fans get loud in performance mode but not any louder than most other laptops I have heard. A semi decent pair of headphones will block most of that noise. Speaker are crisp and lush sounding for being 4watts. However, they are not loud at all and they are tuned for what seems to be to my ears music. Because they struggle to capture all the sounds in some games. Gamers would probably use headphones anyway, but they do sound fine for movies and music. More than fine actually. No bloatware is installed as far as I know. But I do highly recommend downloading the latest Radeon drivers. The included Radeon driver I suspect was not for this laptop at all. Installed the latest one and major performance lift vs the included driver. AMD Radeon Software is clean and easy to navigate. Much prefer vs Nvidia. So far, everything is stable, probably even more so than my previous Nvidia card equipped PC. Since we are talking graphics, the Radeon 6800m is mind blowing fast. Put faster ram in here, and it equals or beats a 3080 laptop. Battery life is stunning. I'm getting 11 hours continuous anime watching. USB-C charging is nice to have if you dont want to bring a power brick around. My only complaint is no SD card slot and no MUX. Considering everything else and price, I give it 5 stars. Nearly the perfect laptop.

buying this laptop gave me ptsd...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a terrible experience. I was so excited, finally found a Ryzen/Radeon machine with some really premium components for a price I could live with. Perfect, right? Not so much. This is a trash machine, the only thing its good at is making hot air. Random resets, constant crashes, can't download and install much, screen stutters.....I factory reset this piece of junk three times in the first 24 hours that I had the misfortune of owning this thing. This is supposed to be a rig capable of running 1440p on ultra with sick framerates, but in reality it only runs 1080p with flickers/stutters/flashes/crashes. I understand that replacing the memory sticks and using an external display can boost performance somewhere in the 20%-30% range, allegedly, but I haven't tried it yet. I do plan to upgrade to 32gb ram here shortly, will update when that happens. An external display is going to be a month or two out, probably, will update when that happens also. I guess to sum up, my experience with this started out at the highest highs, and quickly descended to the lowest of lows. Do not recommend, although I've decided to hold onto this because I'm upgrading the ram and going external monitor anyway, and I'm really hoping (but not expecting) that there is going to be some good support for these issues/components.

Lasted to just before warranty expired
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop was OK when it worked. First I had to send in because one of the speakers was blown out. It lasted to just a little after the warranty period and now keyboard and trackpad need repair. Not happy with this product. Asus - need to get your QC tighter, the speaker was blown out of the box.

AMAZING LAPTOP!!! powerful and it looks beautiful
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AMAZING LAPTOP!!! better than ASUS f-15 tub 3060 and 3070 variants. Battery life is worse but CPU & GPU performance is top tier! and if you upgrade the ram... you can compete with 3080 rog strix laptops from the $2200 range
