:) an excellent super fast laptop and runs all games.

I evaluated the ASUS ROG STRIX G15 on the following games: Sea of Thieves, Counter Strike and Geometry Dash (with my son). My home has gigabit ethernet as well. In general, the graphics are top-notch, the sound is clear and full even at full volume, battery life is better than expected, the lighting effects are extremely customizable It’s a gaming laptop, so I need to start out with the graphics. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) finally moved to the front of the pack with it’s Radeon RX 6800M. The graphics are superb and transitions smooth and flowing. It works well with the 300 Hz refresh rate to give a clear, clean screen no matter how action-intensive the scene is. It’s very impressive. Everything appears to stay cool with the powerful fans onboard. Battery: I’ve found that it takes 45 – 60 minutes to reach full charge after being nearly completely drained. Once charged, I’m getting 6-7 hours of playtime before having to re-charge the battery. Given the demands of the graphics card, 6-7 hours is about, or better than I expected. OTHER: • Fast loading times for apps and games • Smooth keys on the keyboard, with a matte, satin-like finish. • The WASD kets are transparent with a satin-like texture that look striking against the dark keyboard. Nice look. • AMD SmartShift, where you can realize better performance using algorithms and machine learning to switch power between the CPU and GPU. I could not tell much of a difference. I have some Cons: [1] The laptop is fairly heavy compared to other gaming laptops on the market. Add in the additional weight of a quality laptop bag, mouse, headset, and the AC charger; it’s something to consider. [2] It appears that the chassis lighting effects are NOT separate from that of the keyboard. It would be nice to be able to control them separate, for times that I’m starting to wind down, don’t care about the chassis lighting, or want to save battery life any way possible. After hours of playing, the effects can be over-stimulating. [3] 512GB SSD. Asus kept this gaming laptop at this price point presumably by skimping on storage capacity. 512GB hasn’t been a reasonable amout of storage on any gaming console for a decade. [4] 16GB of RAM. It’s standard, but this gaming laptop wasn’t meant to be.

Great laptop. Keyboard feels awesome. Graphics are fast and screen refresh rate is amazing.

I bought this model after the other Asus Rog laptop I bought a few weeks before turned out to be defective and this did the exact same thing. It was definitely fast and could handle anything you threw at it but the screen would just go black. This happened within 30 days of purchase and was noticeable within the first week.

Great gaming laptop. CPU runs a little hot but within spec. Runs all my games at Ultra/Max settings with no issues at all. Screen is awesome whether running at 300Hz or 60Hz. I wish the BIOS was not so locked down, but it's to be expected nowadays in a gaming laptop. Upgraded RAM and added another NVME drive. Memory must run below a certain voltage or it will not run at full speed.

A little clunky and the keyboard is a key bigger with less buttons then I'm used to, but the RGB back lighting and under lights, way worth it! Love them! Software is confusing considering it comes with all of, they just don't tell you 40% isn't installed yet. And unlike HP they have confusing files where not everything goes, like I'm supposed to know that?! Minus a star for poor filling, buy so far happy with the choice, though I haven't been able to play a game yet due to my really slow internet. Thanks DSL.

Died after several days. Probably not a good idea to put liquid metal on a mobile computor.

I wish I could love it. It's really powerful. It does everything in place everything you could ever hope for. However my FPS fluctuate often. Often causing game lag. I tried my best to find what it was updating the drivers and reinstalling the games. It didn't seem to get better.

Great performance for the cost. Plays all the games I own 80+fps 1440p the only con is that my wifi card is faulty out of the box.

Great graphics and speed. Relatively lightweight. Overall nice and powerful laptop.

Laptop is a killer machine. Some things you need to do. Upgrade ram to (2x16) fast ram and put a new extra ssd 1TB to the empty slot inside. It's easy to open and put in - about 5 mins. Gaming is awesome - and can mine on the side via nicehash!

Is very fast and was good value for the price. It also runs games very well.

it runs hot and noisy. if you can tolerate that, this is the a great gaming laptop and handles everything I put on it.

Best Gaming laptop under $2000. Stock memory is a little slow so I swapped out for 3200 HyperX RAM for the FPS boost. Laptop puts out alot of heat if doing extended gaming so might have to get a cooling pad.

Great Laptop so far I wish can have more SSD Memory at least 1TB for the price, also battery life only work like 4.5 hour, don’t know if is the type of work I’m doing but I have to plug it constantly and I only have lest than a month with it. Also it gets really hot I don’t know if is normal but gets pretty hot. But still a great high performance laptop.
