My Zephyrus G14 is much faster. Guess I'll stick with the G14 and sacrifice a small amount of graphics for a better machine. Shame I really liked the looks and features of the Strix.

The first unit I received would blue screen crash while gaming after about an hour, running 96C CPU and 85C GPU temps. I had that unit exchanged(Best Buy is awesome with customer service), but this unit starts having terrible packet loss and network dropouts while gaming on Ethernet. The Ethernet port is at the rear, adjacent to the chips on the MOBO, and it is my suspicion that this is also a heat related issue because it only occurs after a game has been running for a while at CPU throttling temps. I swapped my old laptop and played the same games and had not latency or dropout issues on the same switch/cable. It’s a bad design from ASUS, with even worse QC issues. Don’t be allured by the outright power(which is substantial) of this machine for the price, and spend your money elsewhere. Oh, my display also has bad backlight bleed in dark scenes around the top right corner.

When it works its amazing!

Unfortunately mine was defective, kept shutting off randomly while I was working and normal web browsing. Being plugged in and fully charged, it would continue to randomly shut off/reboot.

Random reboots and blue screen followed by opening up a game yesterday and then it crashing completely dead, no lights, nothing. Motherboard failure at 1 year and 1 month. Thanks for the $1,650 paperweight.

Horizon Zero Dawn constantly crashes with a driver timeout message. Has been in AMD known issues page for months now and still not fixed. Unacceptable. Updating the drivers to 21.8.1 solved my reboot issues. If your laptop reboots and if its not due to the LM application, give the newer driver a try. The mediatek wifi has speed issues compared to another laptop with Intel AX200 wifi card.
