ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G 15.6" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ry
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this laptop since April 2020 and overall it is a good laptop for gaming. The cons are that it doesn't have much memory. This laptop will also get hot while playing games like Valorant and Call of Dudy.

Fantastic for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great price for performance from a laptop. Fans get a little loud while gaming but headphones drown out most of the noise.

Great midrange slim gaming laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Still plays the best titles at high settings with acceptable fps even though it's got a weaker GPU than the 2060. Honestly I'd just pay the extra couple hundred for the rtx 2060 since it's a lot more powerful than the 1660 ti max q you get in this. It even has a lower wattage than the regular 1660ti which is 80 watt. This is only 60. Still a good buy for mild gaming and all the rest of your everyday tasks if you want to save a few hundred bucks. I even found mine on sale for 999.99

Flawless! Light, easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop! I researched quite a bit and was planning on buying a much more expensive laptop before I settled on this one. I had seen a good review on you-tube and this seemed like a good value. Having owned it now for 4 months, I love it! It is light, cool (never gets too hot) I've come to love windows 10. I play some games on it, nothing too crazy.Just a great easy to use laptop, easy to drag around in my backpack. I get lots of ooo's and awes everywhere I pull it out!

Great computer for gaming or programming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in school and do a lot of programming and gaming. I love this computer. Only complaint is that the fan is loud. I got an extra fan stand and that has worked great.

Good Laptop Rough Start
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is great. It has solid performance and is very snappy when loading applications. I did my research before buying this laptop and found that the CPU and GPU are a perfect match for each other since the CPU does not bottleneck the GPU. The reason why I gave 4 stars and not 5 is that while playing games my FPS dropped randomly from like 100 FPS to 12 every 3 secs or so. Very frustrating. However, after a few hours of troubleshooting and research, I found that it was the BIOS. I flashed the BIOS with the newest version and the laptop is now running like a champ.

Very good laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am quite pleased with this laptop. I was a Toshiba guy, but now looks like I may be an Asus guy. Only major problem with it, is: Who makes a laptop without a webcam built in? That's why only 4 stars.

Nice for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great, powerful laptop. A couple minor issues, one being that when closed the keys make contact with the screen, which worries me a bit. Aside from that and the lack of SD card reader, very satisfied!

it's very blah...
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly didn't expect much from this to begin with, in the area of gaming, but i somehow still got less. As a basic laptop its great! (Minus it has the worst wireless connectivity of any laptop I've ever used.) It has a 120hz monitor but you'll be lucky to hit that in any game that remotely matters. Wouldn't even handle apex on low settings for me (while connected to a cat6, wifi has zero chance of working for a game like that). thermals....the second you start a game it jumps up to 80 deg, and thats while i have it on the turbo setting. It cools just like any other thin laptop...poorly!

So far, so good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only used it for about 1 month. Solid so far. Just as described, it runs a lot of the newer games with ease. The fan management software is nice, it goes from dead silent to turbo prop engine in a second if it needs to. It may be noisy for some at fan high speed, while playing the fancy games. It is thinner than i expected, actually you wouldn’t know this is agming laptop. The outside face is prone to fingerprint grease.

So far so good; runs a little hot though
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop as my first journey into gaming on pc. I wanted to be able to play on a pc in different locations so I didn’t want a desktop. I also did not want to spend $2000-$3000. The only downside is the heat it puts off. I was playing rainbow six the other day on high visual settings and it was extremely hot and honestly had me worried it would overheat. I ended up stopping my game just to let it cool off. This could have been a move of paranoia so please correct me if I’m wrong but I did not want to fry the brand new laptop I just paid $1000 for. Other than the heat and loud fans it is an awesome computer. I plan on testing it again on a higher paced game to see how it does.
