Waited until it went on sale and when it did, I had to get it. It took two days to do all the updates but once it did, the machine is a beast. I edit video and write screenplays and also play games. It's mainly for writing and editing. Love it so far.

Very powerful and can game like no other laptop! Very portable and awesome to have!

Bought for our son for school work and the ability to play games online. It's been in use for about 2 weeks so far (Christmas Present). Our son gives it a thumbs up and is very happy at how fast it is compared to our 4 year old laptop, and how many games he's been able to download and play on it with no lag.

1660ti in the notebook performance is great, comparable to 2060 but cheaper.

I didn't think I would like to game on a laptop since i normally play on Xbox and PlayStation but i found out i was wrong... first thing first I would update windows 10 on this laptop. Next I would update the BIOS on Nvidia website since i didn't do that at first and games ran with a lag. After that i was able to run games like The Division 1 and the Division 2 just fine.

Bought this, but ended up returning it for 2 main reasons: screen and underwhelming battery life. Witcher 3 at high with AA off gets you 70-100 fps, but temps run at 85 cpu and 80 gpu sustained. It never throttled on me, but that is a bit hot (although it is within the "stable" temperatures as listed by AMD and nvidia graphics). The battery life was a bit underwhelmin for me (i got around 5 hrs maybe on a full charge) which is a little less than I would like. Great laptop if you get it on sale for 1000-1100.

I use it for school and gaming. It's fast and not too heavy in my backpack.

I'm used to more high end desktops and laptops both PCs and MAC in 4K and HD. Very impressed with the graphics, game play, etc. Yes, also use it for work. There's a slight learning curve with the keyboard layout but nothing to worry about. Movies, external drives, accessories, all work great ! At a 3rd of the cost of the competitors. I'd recommend this Asus to anyone.

Many online reviews from youtube do not cover this product fully. It is a great laptop but after getting the laptop delivered i used it for half a day and noticed a loud high pitch sound coming from the laptop when not under load. Did a bit more digging into the issue and found many other people with the same issue and most were lucky to be able to return the device. Mine like many others has a very bad coil whine while the keyboard backlight is not at 100% and even at 100% still noticeable. Really thinking about trying to swap for another one because i love the feel of the keyboard and how much this laptop can handle but i do not want t listen to a high pitch noise that causes my ears to ring when I am working on work or school work activities.

Great experience with Asus as a brand with great reliability and excellent performance. This units checks all the boxes as a high performance gaming laptop. But also a perfect machine for daily use in college for in person or remote glasses. The best of both worlds at a terrific price and no worries about reliability and durability.

This machine offers an amazing value when on sale. Light weight, powerful, and classy looking. Handled anything I asked it to do, which is mostly gaming for a few hours in the evenings. It stays in my office since I have a laptop issued by the company I work at for my daily commute. But, after a little more than two months of ownership, the main exhaust fan is dying. Awful sounds started randomly this morning. Grinding and scraping... After contacting ASUS I was told to bring the unit into bestbuy for repair... if the repair goes smoothly I'll be changing this review and chalking this up to a bad fan on an otherwise great product. If this warranty claim gets denied I'll be telling anyone I can to stay away.

As far as I know, this is a really solid laptop all around for the price. With the different performance modes, I've been able to do basic multi-tasking and some pretty decently demanding gaming with ease. Don't expect the highest end performance at high graphical settings, but for what it is, this does the job, and does it well
