Not a very cool laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had constant problems with this thing overheating! I didn't have it over-clocked or anything like that, it just did terrible at staying cool and would run the fans at max even when just watching YouTube videos.

Fast but wouldn't charge
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the laptop looks cool and ran great, but it wouldnt charge. Huge let down, i went back and swapped it out for a different model. It ran great so 3 stars. Im sure the not charging thing was probably an anomaly.

I use this more for graphics than gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer has been working great for graphics and video editing. My creation time has been cut in half because rendering of video is so much faster. Have played far cry 5 on it. It does tend to heat up some.

HOLY COW BEWARE
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so the laptop not bad. But here is what has happened so far. Bought the laptop. The mouse pad didn't work ok took it back in updated drivers and whatnot. Boom fixed but a little aggravated. 2nd partially my fault but the last laptop I bought a couple years ago I bought through best buy because of geek squad. Well they changed it to where their tech support is separate and upped the prices. I didn't realize that (my fault) so I bought the protection plan thinking everything was good. Then after the 2nd day of me owning it turned out it has some kind of software issue with gaming and I called in to get it fixed. NOPE NO GEEK SQUAD. Well unfortunately best buy has now lost my interest in purchasing computers from them from now on. Is what it is. Now I have a computer with issue and not paying another 199.00 for 1 year of software support that I may not even need.

“For the money”
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Feels like a good bang for my buck. I upscale using “high” setting for graphics with fallout4, Skyrim and other “open world” games in 4K and still get about 50-80 FPS

Very hot
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Video games have many problems, even if it has good specifications, it has a problem with the refresh rate that goes jerkily and it is impossible to play correctly, the fan makes a lot of noise at the minimum game you enter.

Powerful grab and go gaming monster
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been waiting to upgrade my old tired laptop for years. I did some research on pricing and power and this laptop came with great reviews from people who tested it on different games and platforms. The display is great, has a huge viewing angle. My X box controller works with it.

Excellent for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing laptop for this price range. It starts up fast and runs most modern games. My only cons are the trackpad is a pain because it tends to not register right clicks a lot and while nice, I wish the screen was a little better.

Very fast, great sound.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plays games at max settings at 1080p with great performance. On board sound has a lot of bass to it vs most laptop speakers sounding very tinny and empty. SSD is great.

Glorified Paper Weight
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used my stimulus check on this because my desktop broke and cant send it in to be repaired due to the pandemic. I liked the specs this laptop showd here on the site and made my purchase. I picked it up, came home, and it booted and started fine. Everything was going good until shortly after the screen started to flicker, it wasnt a power issue, it was the fact it had two display programs for it. One was AMD and other was Nivida. When one was disabled it screwed up the display, it made it blurry. I even went into the display settings to check and nothing said anything was wrong. Yes, I checked it both ways and both just did wonky stuff. After that I just kept both enabled and just dealt with the flickering, I purchased this laptop to play video games but I wasnt used to the keyboard yet, so I decided to play Witcher 3. Its a good game and has its fair amount of movement so Id be able to get used to the new keyboard quick and have fun as well. Anyways I load up the game, through steam, and the CPU usage sky rockets to 99%. I think Ive even saw it hit 100%. Ill let it be know I do know my way around a PC. So when the laptop calmed on on the launch of the game I made sure all the settings were as low as it could go and loaded in. The laptop was still in the high 90s of percent. Basically it was unplayable. So its known some of Witcher 3 Recommended system requirements are: 8 GB RAM, Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 770 / AMD GPU Radeon R9 290, and Intel CPU Core i7 3770 3.4 GHz / AMD CPU AMD FX-8350 4 GHz. This laptop should have NO problem loading up the game, WItcher 3 is also a 5 year old game. It was released back on May 18, 2015. Ill also say my 5 year old laptop can run WItcher 3 just fine and its specs are: dual gtx 860 nivida, intel i7 gen 4, 8gb of ram, and 1tb of space. I can run Witcher 3 with my older laptop just fine where as the ASUS ROG Zephyrus can not run it at all. Oh and one thing I forgot to mention: The 1920x1080 display for this ASUS laptop is a lie, I had to run Witcher 3 at 1600x1200. TL:DR This laptop isnt strong enough to play a 5 year old steam game while a 5 year old laptop can play it just fine.
