Salesman's recommendation was this gaming laptop was fast photoshop rendering but color and images were not true. Not advantageous returned for HP 4k 16gb upgraded to 32gb w/SSD. Great Laptop for gaming but not for Photoshop IMO

It’s slow even browsing webpages. The specs of this computer means it SHOULD be faster than my desktop but it isn’t. It stutters, lags, disconnects me from wifi momentarily if I unplug the charger, and playing games on it is an absolute nightmare. I was trying to play Persona 4 Golden on steam, a port of a game that came out on the Playstation 2 mind you, and it wouldn’t even let me get past the menu because the thing wouldn’t even load once I applied the graphics settings. This thing is a total piece of junk. Absolute waste of time and money. The only good thing I can say is that the keyboard is nice. The screen is incredibly dim and it makes an obnoxious “epic gamer” noise every time you start the thing up. Thanks for nothing Asus!

We do understand your disappointment if you are experiencing slow system speed or performance issue with the laptop.
The slow speed or system performance isssue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance.
If the above-mentioned steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/. While accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance.

Also verify that you have installed any available Windows updates. What games are you having performance issues with? The problem was a horrible high pitched coil whine that happened regularly enough that it became a problem. If you go on YouTube look up High pitched whirring on ROG Zephyrus M It shows a video of what mine did. I read enough reviews to see it was a pretty common problem so I needed up spending more for a Lenovo legion which has a significantly faster hard drive and a better screen.
