The GPU can handle it no problem but it seems that it gets bottlenecked by the CPU due to thermal throttling. It gets occasionally capped at 400 mhz and you will get huge fps drops every 2 seconds.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing thermal throttling with this machine. That is absolutely not the type of experience we want any of our customers to have. If you have't already, please follow the link below to update your BIOS, VGA and chipset drivers. I also recommend checking for any available Windows updates. What games are you experiencing this issue with? How hot is the CPU running when you see a frequency drop? Are you able to use the machine on a smooth, solid surface for maximum airflow?
