After just two years it simply died. Fully charged. Screen goes black. Won’t power on. Or charge anymore. And of course I didn’t buy their extended warranty. Dead in the water right as the manufacturer warranty expires.

I have had multiple issues with it out of the box after installing drivers and updates. The laptop experiences lag spikes and a horrendous internet speed that is about a tenth of those of my other devices on the same network. Absolutely do not buy this product.

I went into the store planning on getting the lower model with Intel i7, but the Best Buy worker told me this version would be better for gaming. Being relatively new to gaming, I listened to him and purchased the laptop. I soon realized that the processor for this laptop has is not very compatible with almost all games I want to play.

it is a good comp. however, I have been through 2 power adapters for this thing. the psu is very expensive and the connector is an extremely rare size, very difficult to find online. I bought refurbished and I got what i deserved this time. the adapter situation is so bad I am probably going to have to buy a new computer.

Computer crashed less than 60 days of buying it. Bc of COVID19, had to wait 10 days to get it fixed. Got it back and it wouldn’t get past startup. Temp Reached 103.6 degrees on a cooling pad within 20 min of plugging in. Having a VERY difficult time getting fixed, even with BB 3yr warranty. Save your $ and buy something else.

Laptop hardware failed less than a year after purchase. Became uselessly slow. RMA'd it and it was returned unfixed. To ASUS's minor credit, they covered the return shipping. Tried with fresh Windows and Ubuntu installs, no luck with either. I've written it off as a total loss at this point.

Honestly its a good laptop but buy it new. I bought mine open box and I just installed WoW classic. It cant even play this game without overheating. Literally every 3 to 5 seconds the fps drops to 10 all the way up from 120+. makes the game unplayable. Will be returning and exchanging it for another one sadly.

I have been very happy with this new Zephyrus G so far. There are faster and much more expensive laptops out there, but this does everything I need it to, and very well. It's very thin and portable for a gaming laptop. Does not seem bulky at all carrying it around, even in a backpack. 120hz screen is great for gaming. The specs of this machine overall are set up to provide great 1080p gaming on the go, and it definitely delivers. I was able to fire up a handful of games, including Ghost Recon Wildlands, and was able to get 60+fps at 1080 after tweaking the graphics settings. So it's a very capable laptop. The only fault I can think of is every part of the surface of this laptop is very prone to fingerprints, but other than that I enjoy it.

I have been using this laptop for about two weeks and it doesn't let me down at all. First off, hats off to best buy and their awesome price matching policy. I bought this originally for $1,199. It went on sale this past weekend and I went in with my receipt and was given the difference which was bout $200! It pays off to pay attention to the prices if your still within the return period. Performance for me has been excellent. It doesn't have the fastest SSD but I don't see any slowdown in my day to day. GPU is a great value at this price point. The 1660 ti Max q gpu does well to keep most games I play at medium/high settings. I get on average over 120 fps on Overwatch on high settings and close to 80 fps on high settings for Apex Legends. The WiFi card is it's weak point along with the dim display. Down load speeds and ping seems to be 30% slower than on my MacBook pro. I use the network port for a more consistent connection. Design is good. It's well made. Metal top finish and the rest of the computer is plastic. It's the thinnest gameing laptop I ever owned. Overall Value is great! Even if you pick it up at $1199 and not the sale price, it's still worth it imo.

Have had my eye on this PC for a long time and picked it up yesterday and ran some tests. I own a Dell gaming laptop with 16 GB RAM and NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1060 card. The Ryzen 7 processor Handles everything I throw at it with ease. It Doesn’t throttle much when a heavy game or an application is opened. I installed photoshop Elements on this laptop to see how well it can handle. The CPU is Consistent and great for multitasking and building lots of code. My main concern was cooling, and I can say this PC has it in SPADES. You can quickly bring up Armoury Crate Software with the Asus Logo Button (located on the upper left hand corner of the keyboard, above the trackpad) and set Fan profiles based on the game, or let it automatically set it's own fan speed depending on bearing load. I'm still performing some tests so things can be subject to change, but so far, this PC has turned out to be the real deal. This laptop only has an SSD drive, so you will need an external one if you want more storage beyond 512 GB. This laptop also has en Ethernet port, which is fantastic for online gaming. This laptop also has USB C port. Pros: - One of the strongest contender for the best thermals and cooling of any current super thin gaming laptop on the market. You can clearly tell the main thing that keeps this puppy cooled is nothing but good old fashioned mechanical ingenuity. - Extremely Light and Powerful for it's size, using Armoury Crate Software you can overclock the GPU and reach pretty much full GTX 1070 level performance. - Very reasonably Priced for what you get. - Slim and Sleek Design. You could most likely bring this into a business meeting and you wouldn't draw unneeded attention. Cons: - The side by side trackpad and keyboard is considered unconventional by some (I consider this a pro though, I LOVE the setup, it's so fancy) - SSD ONLY be prepared to pick up an External HD or be ready to carefully manage the games you download - Lighting is kind of soft on the keyboard. Can be more brighter. - Fans are sometimes when they are at their maximum setting, especially for something so small. I kind of like this, but this could be considered a con for some. Remember that you can always manually adjust fan settings using a button or set an automated profile in Armoury Crate depending on what game you play. I gave this 5 stars because just about all the cons, at least to me, weren't really cons. But I wanted to list those warnings out there for people who are considering this laptop. I would recommend this to my friends.
